Common Questions and Answers about Ms symptoms dizzy

multiple-sclerosis

Avatar f tn Last year in May I ended up in the ER after a huge dizzy spell and loss of balance (I work as a nursing assistant at a local hospital). Before that, I had light dizzy spells, and a coldness and numbness on the right side of my body along with hearing loss in my right ear and mornings where I'd wake up with double vision. I had a couple of MRIs and a spinal tap that showed consistent markers for MS (bands in the spinal fluid and a lesion on my brain).
Avatar f tn I take Rebif injections 3 times a week and my question is this does being dizzy and having fainting spells a part of the MS symptoms. In March this year I fainted after getting out of bed in the middle of the night and hit my head and had to go to the emergency room for stitches. They ran blood tests and said that all was in normal range.
415084 tn?1209381952 Since January, my symptoms have been numbness and tingling on my hands, toes and nose. I had an MRI and it came back normal.(no sign of lesions or tumor). My neuro. did a bunch of blood work which came back normal. He suggested we watch it for a month. Since then the numbness is gone but the tingling is still there but not as bad sometimes we I get hot or cold it acts up. I have also had two dizzy spells that lasted a couple of seconds each. I told my Neuro, he didn't seem to worried.
Avatar f tn o) personally I dont think your making more of whats going on, though whats causing these symptoms is really difficult to say. MS actually has many mimics, ANA is not associated to MS at all, it is for Lupus though that is another difficult to dx condition.
Avatar f tn They sound like MS symptoms to me. I would at least let your Neurologist know.
Avatar f tn Hi katy and Welcome to the MS Forum. We are glad you decided to post. I would suspect that your dizziness can be coming from the ear problems. It would be unusual in my opinion, for MS to present this way. Can it happen in MS? Yes it can. Your physical history suggests that your knee pain has something to do with inflammation around your knee and you need to get back with the doctor that replaced your knees. Your Meniere's should be followed up by an ear, nose and throat doctor.
1744910 tn?1314199685 I have PPMS and one symptom I've never had due to my MS was dizziness... MS has so many symptoms and just about everyone I know has different ones... Nothing with MS is cut and dry... Hopefully someone can jump in here and give you some answers to your question... I wish you the best and sorry I couldn't be of more help...
Avatar n tn severe nausea, tachycardia, muscle weakness/pain on the left side of my body, and lightheadedness. Most days I only have one of these symptoms at a time, and there are a couple rare days when I don't have any. At the moment, I am glad to finally have relief from my nausea and be able to eat again, but my arm and leg on my left side feel really weak and painful - like I've done wayy too much exercise in the gym (but only on one side of my body).
Avatar n tn Is this an MS-related problem? I was dizzy for about two years after diagnosis. It was almost constant. It finally started going away, and now I only get dizzy if I'm fatigued.
Avatar f tn I have symptoms that stay the same from day to day, and I have new symptoms that crop up. Usually if a symptom appears, it takes about three months for it to go away. But sometimes it'll go away and come back later! Hope that helps.
1547952 tn?1293907781 i dont know how significant this is with ms [still unconfirmed] but its making me feel very disorientated can anyone relate to this or am i worrying over nothing .
Avatar n tn This is not a question, but a comment regarding some of these people that are having these crazy neuro symptoms going on. Let me tell you what went on with my wife in 1997. She was having really crazy symptoms. Her skin was extremely tender like she had a sunburn. Her muscles in her legs felt like they were cramping but they weren't. Dizzy etc..etc.. We went to several Neurologists and they couldn't tell us anything but they all eluded to MS.
Avatar f tn Bowel and bladder symptoms include frequency of micturition, urine leakage, eye symptoms like double vision uncontrollable rapid eye movements, facial pain, painful muscle spasms, tingling, burning in arms or legs, depression, dizziness, hearing loss, fatigue etc. The treatment is essentially limited to symptomatic therapy so the course of action would not change much whether MS has been diagnosed or not.
Avatar f tn I have been having symptoms of MS. I got these off the internet: slow word recall, abnormal pupil responses, infrequent bowel movements, short term memory loss, vision problems, problems empying my bladder, unbalanced and incontinence (at night when i get out of bed to go to the bathroom) I am on Humira. It lowers your immune system and can cause MS.The first thing I noticed was my vision seemed to have changed over night.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and a bit nervous about the possibility of having MS. My symptoms have been going on for quite some time and I was told I have fibermyalgia. Finally my new doctor has sent me to many specialist and an ENT doctor had me get an MRI. My primary doctor got the results and told me to go see a neurologist. He thinks it could be but he is not real concerned about it.
Avatar f tn Do any of you have day to day symptoms even when you aren't having a "flare?" I am a limbolander--I'm seeing a neuro that thinks that this might be early MS based on symptoms, but test results say no. Anyway, I had a period of about 8 weeks where my symptoms were pretty intense and varied--dizziness, vision problems, left sided numbness and twitching, fatigue. . .now I feel ALMOST normal.

Avatar f tn s, one to check for MS, because my sister has MS, and another to check for a brain tumor. I think from reading posts on here a leak of CSF. I had a spinal for delivery 1 1/2 years ago, don't know if that would have anything to do with it, but I heard it can be idiopathic, and not all MRI can detect it. Just a shot in the dark, but wouldn't a lumbar punture test beable to detect this. This is so weird, it just all started one day.
