Avatar f tn i want to know about the severity of my problem after a MRI scan . the scan was done as i was having severe pain accelerating to my buttocks . iam now on medicines and physiotherapy . The report says1) POSTERO-CENTRAL DISC PROTRUSION WITH CENTRAL L5-S1 LEVEL CAUSING CENTRAL CANAL NARROWING AND MLIDLY INDENTING THE TRAVERSING NERVE ROOTS 2)MILD PSEUDO DISC BULGE AT L4-L5 DUE TO ANTEROLISTHESIS WITH NO SIGNIFICANT NEURAL COMPROMISE..
Avatar f tn I have recently had an MRI scan and the report has indicated that I have a L5/S1 circumferential disc bulge whih displaces the exiting L5 nerve roots bilaterally.. On the left this effaces the perineural fate and contacts the L5 nerve root. A neurosurgeon has apparently reviewed my scan and said there is no evidence of this disc bulge without even seeing me and suggested tertherd cord syndrome should be investigated..
Avatar f tn i had an mri scan and was told i had a right A1 segment hypoplastic. what does this mean please?
Avatar n tn I had a MRI done last week. Would you please translate this report into "normal English" for me? "...reveals the presence of a few scattered high signal foci in the deep white matter bilaterally on T2 weighted images and FLAIR without corresponding findings of T1 weighted images. These are primarily periventricular nature although there is some extension into the centrum semiovale. Similar changes are noted in the brainstem. There is no associated mass effect or edema.
Avatar f tn Probably it does :). However, we're not doctors. You also haven't provided much information here. For instance, if you had the MRI because you have migraines, this would be a typical finding. If you are older, these might be due to ischemic changes. Feel free to share why you were referred for the MRI in the first place. Also, what did the "impressions" or "conclusions" paragraph on the MRI report say?
Avatar n tn She is scheduled for an MRI based on the results of the CAT scan. The MRI is scheduled for March and the appt. with the neurologist is set for the week after the MRI. she has also been referred to an Ear/nose/throat specialist as they say that the blood vessels and veins in her nose are "fragile & bulging". The pediatrician printed out a copy of the CAT scan report for us.
14022603 tn?1432582514 Pain is not the same for all, ok, that's obvious right.. lol. I've had so much pain all my life.. Crohn s disease, Arthritis all over my body, low back issues so painful I couldn't work anymore.. I had surgery to fix my back, it's better(think God), but I'll never function well enough to be normal..(as normal as I was before my back got so bad anyway). One time when I was at ANOTHER doctor appointment and I was feeling like a wimp whining about pain.
Avatar m tn I was involved in a road accident xmas day 2009, i was teated for a frozen shoulder however the pain continued and after 10 months was referred to an MRI scan and Xray, mri showed that my supraspinatus was severed, I was seen by an orthopeadic surgeon Feb 2012 who wrote a report which stated that I had a partial tear pre-existing, I have never had the effected shoulder examined prior to the accident as I have never had any problems with that shoulder, the report states that the full tear has bee
Avatar n tn hye i am Mohan 28 years old ,i had undergone MRI scan as directed by doctor which says "T2 and FLAIR hyperintensities seen in bilateral fronto parietal white matter more prominent on the left side.Mass effect noted effacing the adjacent cortical sulci.
Avatar n tn Not sure where you live - I am in the US and I haven't had any problems getting copies of tests, MRI scans etc. Whenever I have an MRI, I am given the disc right then to take to my neuro's office. My neuro is sent the written report of the MRI results. When I see my neuro for follow up, I bring the MRI disc. He looks at it then, and reviews it with me. I only get a copy of the radiologists report if I ask for it. Sorry you are feeling stressed out.
998545 tn?1249847230 Hello, I acquired a brain injury 9 years ago and recently had an MRI because I wanted to find solutions to ongoing difficulties and whether there was anything seriously wrong that I should be aware of. I had never had an MRI of my brain before and was never offered one. It was my own decision to have an MRI. A bit of background: - 14 years old at the time of the injury (23 years old now).
Avatar f tn ecspecially when the neuro asked the lesions to be counted.i did not get a neck mri just the brain.i will write the report. findings sagittal t1Flair.axial protondensity,T2and flair and axial3D FSGPRsequences performed. No focal lesion identified in the periventricular white matter.in the corpus callosum, the cerebellum or the brainsrem. No MRI evidence of a white matter demyelinating disease. No abnormal enhancing lesion detected.
Avatar n tn The report read "cyst formation". deep white matter changes around the periventricular region" Final Impression: Bilateral medial and occipital chronic changes with deep white matter changes and volume loss. Is this serious. Thanks a lot.
Avatar f tn Hi...just a suggestion...u can request a copy of the MRI on disk...and a copy of the report....u will get it b4 u see the dr that rx'd it. Not that u can read it, but if u r sent to a specialist u will have everything u need!!
900662 tn?1469390305 Happy Saturday morning everyone.... I've lost count of how many brain MRI'S I've had, however this MRI appears to be stable according the the Radiologist report- It's really up to the MSlogist to interpret the scan.. that just one of many things we have learned from this forum.
Avatar n tn As the CT scan report was normal and since there was no MRI scan facility in the hospital the patient was not shifted immediately to another one. The doctor of the hospital to which he was later admitted mentioned about the delay. that is why i felt so. Do you think that the CT scan report which mentioned "brain-stem normal" was correct?
Avatar m tn MRI report says: 1) post operative gliotic changes in right frontal lobe with edema. 2)changes of senile cerebral atrophy 3) no evidence of recurrence of the disease seen in present scan.
Avatar f tn I had my NL appt already and she said my MRI was unchanged compared to the one 2 years ago, however she didnt go over the scan or report at all with me so I picked it up out of curiousity. On my 1st MRI (laying down one) my measurement was 10mm. This MRI (upright) it says 1.2cm. In my opinion.. that would be considered a CHANGE! Is that something to be concerned with?!
Avatar m tn In MRI report impression, evidence of rounded T2W/FLAIR hyperintense focus seen in right frontal white matter - ? granulomatous lesion.
Avatar f tn these can be cysts or other benign lesions. was this on a CT scan, MRI or ultrasound? its probably nothing but you may need another type of confirmatory scan.
Avatar m tn I had an MRI of the brain back in May, to investigate various cognitive / neurological problems I've been experiencing since the start of 2009 (mild confusion, memory problems, muscle twitching, etc). This came back normal (I have neither copies of the scans , nor the radiographers report - just a letter from neurologist saying all findings were normal).
Avatar n tn ultrasounds are not very reliable as they are operator-dependent. My gut sense is that this is nothing wrong because the MRI is OK.
