Hi guys I wanted to know if anyone knows where to get a private head MRI scan done in the Birmingham region. I've been suffering from this head related illness for almost 2 years and the doctor thinks it's depression which I disagree because the only thing that gets me depressed is the problem itself I'm suffering from.

I have recently had an MRI scan and the report has indicated that I have a L5/S1 circumferential disc bulge whih displaces the exiting L5 nerve roots bilaterally.. On the left this effaces the perineural fate and contacts the L5 nerve root. A neurosurgeon has apparently reviewed my scan and said there is no evidence of this disc bulge without even seeing me and suggested tertherd cord syndrome should be investigated..

i have had an mri scan as i was suffering with my left ear headaches and dizziness i have just got my results my ear is fine but they said i have white patches on my brain that would not expect to see in someone my age(49)they are referring me to see an neurologist do you have any idea what it could be

I had an MRI of the brain back in May, to investigate various cognitive / neurological problems I've been experiencing since the start of 2009 (mild confusion, memory problems, muscle twitching, etc). This came back normal (I have neither copies of the scans , nor the radiographers report - just a letter from neurologist saying all findings were normal).

Just read a post about this women getting a private scan and they were told that it looks like a girl. I think it was around week 14/15. The next ultrasound they had with their doc found out it was a boy instead.

they done blood tests bone scane and mri scans but say they cant find any thing wrong!! when i show them the report from the private hospital i was seen at they just say.theres nothing wrong!! they gave me pain killers and discharged me.im not happy with this.to me it felt like they could not find any thing on any xrays i had or tests so they want me off the waiting list!!!

If I was to go private and pay for a scan how soon can you fond out the sex of the baby .

Just a few words of advice (some of you probably already know) if the doctor wants to schedule you for a c,t spine and brain scan with and without contrasts at one time. Don't try it. Split them up if possible. I was in that machine for a little over two hours. I had to get out. Finished the contrast the next day. What a terrible experience!

My 7yr old son had an eye test a couple of months ago as he has a "lazy eye" & they checked the backs of the eyes & said the verves in both eyes looked slightly pale & wanted an MRI scan done of the brain & orbits. We took him private as we were sick with worry & thankfully the results come back clear. They have since then checked the pressures in both eyes which again were fine.

as my symptoms persisted and i had been battling on my own with help from family i arranged a private 3t mri, problem is the radiologist had wrote i had 1 lesion at the subcortial white matter frontal lobe and several schmorl nodes on thiariac spine. Then when i went to neuro they stated normal. then my optician says i had some lesions in white matter.

so I had my first appointment today with a neurosurgeon that specializes in chiari in WI and I'm so confused! I asked him a ton of questions. I asked him about a CSF flow study, a possible MRI of the spine and he brushed me off! he said some doctors like to do the CSF flow study but it's not something that he does. he ordered simply an MRI of the brain with and without contrast and one that follows a chiari protocol. he said the CT scan doesn't show him much of anything.

So i sched a private gender scan. They had bundles and i chose the one that was on sale for 65 dollars. I was wondering if its 65 dollars or 65 dollars plus tax?

I saw several doctors for all the symptoms, but so far everything they test came back normal. I had a brain MRI, CAT scan, chest X-Ray, blood tests, EKG, Holter monitor, and echo cardiagram. They want me to do EEG and also tilt table test next week. The gastroenterologist I saw recommended that I have a colonoscopy just in case, so I will probably do that in the next month or so. Does anybody have any ideas what this could be and what other tests I need to get?

I had a brain mri scan for recurrent 'auras' thought to be due to migraine. The result of the scan came back normal except for a few spots of plaques. I am 50, is this normal? I am concerned that it is indicative of early degeneration associated with dementia.

my wife had a mri scan on her neck the result came back as follows mri on the C- spine showd minor degenerative changes with a normal spinal cord there disc lesion at C6/C7 which corrugates the postrior longitudinal ligament by the spinal cord .

Is it necessary to have more than one MRI scan done. I have only ever had the one scan, 15 yrs ago which was when I was given my official dx, despite having several episodes/relapses since. Initially told I had RRMS now being told I have SPMS with relapses.
