mri-scan

Avatar f tn I had a regulary scheduled appointment yesterday with my Internal Medicine Doctor. He asked me if I had ever had a spinal MRI. I told him no and he said I really needed to have one. (he knows my neurological history and has seen my brain MRIs. I had a total spine MRI at 8:00 this morning. The Tech told me that they don't use the dye for this scan unless she sees something. After the scan.
Avatar f tn My recent brain-spine MRI was just over an hour. The power of the unit is important. You can study the types on the net. Most hospitals claim state-of-the-art for all their equipment, leaving patients pretty much in the dark. Even well-known centers can be weak in some areas. If you aren't satisfied with your improvement, learn more and keep looking for better treatment.
Avatar f tn I had my MRI results sent to me first too also a bone scan result. The doctor wrote a couple of days later.
Avatar m tn m looking into include food intolerences, b12, lyme disease, metal toxicity and chronic anxiety/stress. Also getting an MRI of the rest of my spine as I have only done the head and neck. Let me know if you find out any more info.
Avatar n tn Depending upon which part of the spine was included in the MRI, some of the pelvic bones may be in the image. You may benefit from another discussion with your doctor regarding the type of pain you are having as not all pain represents bone pain. You could also call your oncologist’s office and discuss the situation to see if he/she would be able to see you sooner since you are worried.
Avatar f tn There is very little in the mroning and as i begin my households and return from office, the pain increases. I was asked to go through MRI scan. The results say that there is dehydration on all the six discs from c2 to c7. My doctor said there was no problem and i have to go through phesiotherepy. I would like to know what exactly is dehydration in the discs and how can i strengthen my neck. I developed this with the mouse usage and improper posture at workplace.

Avatar f tn Hi, Had you had an MRI or CAT scan, as these are the tests that will show up any problems with your back. You need your doctor to find out what is wrong so it can be treated. Chronic back pain is hell, I suffer badly myself. Finding out what is wrong and if something can be done is your number one right now. It is the only way you will know what's wrong and how to treat it. I hope they get a scan sorted for you soon. Keep posting.
506846 tn?1217265961 Does any one know of the likley hood of having leasions show up on a MRI of the spine after having 2 clean MRI's of the brain. My Symptoms have been non-cognitive. But have lasted for over three months. There was a time when I felt about 85% better then it hit me just as hard as when the onset of my first symptoms. But now I have numbing, tingling and burning of my left arm and leg.
Avatar n tn m getting the same run around on my spine cyst that i had on my kidney ..my last mri showed the spine cyst has grown about i cm in the last year it is now 2.6x1.6x1.6 there is scalloping and enlargmentof the spinal canal also nerve root compromise cannot be excluded. Would you think my back pain could be caused by this cyst also with the history of cancer do you think it could also contain cancer cells as my kidney cyst showed no signs until it was removed, tested..
3157939 tn?1343582734 With associated compression of neural structures and radiculopathy, surgical management to relieve pressure from the neural structures and stabilization of the spine would be advised. I would suggest consulting a neurosurgeon or an orthopedician for a detailed evaluation and suggestion of an appropriate management plan. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar n tn I get a pressure in the middle of my spine, the pain can range from the shoulder blades to the lower back, muscles spasms or stabbing pains. I get a feeling of vibrations throughout my entire right leg if I walk to much or too fast. The pain in my back seems to get better if I rest and worse with any type of activity, even just walking in a store. I also have issues with my vision if my back is really hurting. Ice helps more than heat.

Avatar f tn Hi :) and thanks for awnsering my post :) Yes i can see now i hadvthe old one. I was diagnosed in 2004 without supportive MRI, clinical diagnosis. Avatar m tn He gave his diagnosis and then I had a MRI scan. I was young at the time so didn’t really see the seriousness of it and my parents couldn’t afford a follow up scan. I took medication (cataflam mostly for the pain if it was serious) and I stopped Ballet lessons and then stopped basketball as well. The problems with my back stopped then and has been ok for the past few years. Now however, it has started up again and won’t seem to go away even with rest and cataflam.
