Avatar m tn It is some type of muscles stifness or muscles injury or muscles spasm or muscles strain or muscles sprain....i dont know really. It is 3 years old injury when I turned my head right side forcefully to take some thing laying my back side. Suddenlly I experienced a severe pain in my lower neck for at least 20- 30 minutes. Since then I am feeling stifness in my neck muscles.
Avatar m tn s a good approach as he is trying to give your neck muscles , a good rest. Also he is thinking of eliminating the probability of Whiplash injury. Hence please cooperate with him and follow his advice. The pre-existing osteoarthritis of the neck has got nothing much to do with the present condition, except the fact that it's slowing the pace of recovery. A good physiotherapy would augment the healing process. All the best. Feel free to discuss further.
Avatar m tn I want to say something about the MRI and with the help of MRI you can easily get the information about the scapula. In many cases MRI gives information about structures in the body that can't be seen as well with an X-ray, ultrasound, or CT scan. MRI can find changes in the structure of organs or other tissues. It also can find tissue damage or disease, such as infection or a tumor. So this is better than the X-ray or CT Scan.
601516 tn?1224884637 Don't think we've met yet, so howdy! I know you've posted before but to be honest I can't remember the details, so perhaps I'm not the best one to comment. I CAN say some things for sure. Your PCP is way out of his element and doesn't know what he's doing if he thinks a CT scan can give info about MS one way or another. That's nutty. The only scan of use is the MRI, and the stronger power the scanner has, the better.

Avatar m tn After that I was unable to flex my right knee due to pain but I could manage to walk. Upon x ray and MRI scan it was diagnosed as avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament and the fraction bed was 0.1mm. I was applied with POP bandage over the right leg (no surgery done) and advised bed rest. After the treatment period stepping up and down on stair case was difficult for me and slowly felt crepitating noise from the same knee.

Avatar f tn What is the significance of nausea when pressure is applied to the suboccipital muscles? I have had headaches, necck pain and been sent to spine PT after a negative cat scan. I did have an abnormal MRI that was non specific, just noting 8 2-3 mm hyperintese foci on T2 and FLAIR. Also an area adjacent to the left Lateral ventricle was noted as questionable abnormal signal on the sagital view.

Avatar n tn Other possibilities include a problem in the spinal cord (which can be assessed on MRI of the neck), peripheral nerves or muscles (though a process affecting these would be more likely to affect all four limbs) and the latter are best assessed by a study called EMG/NCS which tests how nerves conduct electricity and how muscles respond.
881463 tn?1245345649 Hi Dr. Junig, I met with my Dr. & the bone scan results were normal. He said he cannot figure out why I am getting mid back & chest pain (dull or sharp), except to say that it is not cancer/heart related. The tests so far are: Gastrocopy, Chest, abdominal & Pelvic CT scan with contrast, ecg's & stress test, Chest X-Ray, Bone scan, allot of blood work are all okay.

Avatar f tn While I am completly concious and aware of whats happening I will lose control of my muscles. I still have feeling in my body and the muscles are not rigid but I just can't move any part of my body. These episodes only last between 15-30 seconds and they only happen about every 5-7 months. Following these episodes I feel very drained and continue to have a headache that spreads throughtout my whole head. Once I lay down and rest the symptoms will subside.
700067 tn?1332989283 I went in to the PCP today because my pain has gotten worse and this morning I lost control of my bowels. (I am still waiting to see the Chiari specialist.) She sent me over to the hospital for a CT scan and it came back "normal." I know that most people have MRIs and the Cine Flow MRI. Can a CT scan really be helpful? I was hoping she would get me a MRI of my spine since so far I've only had my brain looked at. She did give me gab for the pain.
Avatar f tn If the pain persists, you may ask to see an orthopedist and also have an MRI and/or CT scan. Xrays do not shwo everything and are not always reliable. The MRI and CT scan can show if it is a muscle, bone, tendon or ligament. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn Was the CAT scan of your neck and surrounding structures? If so, get an MRI done...It sounds to me like this is all coming from your high neck area...I'm not sure about the liver enzyme elevation without seeing other labs...If you are taking a lot of pain medications -especially ibuprofen or acetaminophen (tylenol) containing ones, that can cause the elevation by itself...
Avatar f tn I have a healed pelvic fracture from December 2015 but my recent MRI shows more weakening/thinning of the pelvic bone in a different area and he says another fracture may be likely. I do not drink excessively or smoke. I have been vegetarian for 8 years but I take Calcium and vit D supplements daily. Does anyone know why this could happen?
Avatar n tn I indeed have suffered from auras and migraine and now feel a lot less worried about the presence of plaques on the mri scan of my brain. Thank you for being very helpful.
