Avatar f tn have you googled the results from your mri yet? that can be a big help in finding a path to search next. one thing about the injections is when done under the flouroscope they are taking real time xrays and can see amazing things that weren't caught before...in mine they found a birth defect in my low back....what are some of the wordings from your scan???
Avatar n tn If your dr does not think it can be taken care of with an adjustment make sure he orders a mri or ct scan with contrast.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I have low back pain. My MRI, and bone scan were normal and I have either SI joint dysfunction or muscloskeltal injury or both. I was going to a physical therapist but I kept pulling muscles then finally tore something. I am trying to do therapy on my own since two physical therapists didn't work. Since I am weak from sitting too much since the tear I don't want to reinjure myself again if possilble. At this point I can walk 30 minutes (slowly) and 10 minutes in the afternoon.
763362 tn?1236624790 I have been referred to Physio and had an initial assesment where the consultant said that it looks like Degenerative Disc Disease, he said the only way to determine this better is by having an MRI scan, on going back to my G.P.
Avatar n tn I got an MRI done on my lower back and the results showed that i have low fluid in Disc Number 2.... what causes this to happen? Am I doing something wrong? I am pretty young to have back problems i think.
1187318 tn?1266384482 Then the pain came back. My MD had me do a MRI of my entire spine. I just got back the report, but have not spoken with my doctor yet. I was wondering if you could shed some light on some of the more technical terms of the MRI and maybe offer some advice. Is this something that will go away on its own or does something need to be fixed? Just wondering how long I will be in pain, as I work at a hospital and this back pain is interferring with my patient care.
Avatar f tn This headache could be due to raised intracranial pressure and lowering of temporal lobes on MRI due to brain herniation, which is a consequence of very high intracranial pressure. Herniation could result from many factors causing mass effect and increase intracranial pressure including traumatic brain injury, stroke and brain tumor. You need to consult a neurologist immediately with this concern, as this can be fatal. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn I have been suffering from headaches and see a neurologist who sent me for an mri scan, he said he thought it was a nerve but he also told me I had low cerebellum? I didn't ask what this meant but since then I have been suffering from neck and upper back/shoulder pain. I would like to know if this is linked and if anyone knows what low cerebellum means.
Avatar f tn I had X-ray and nothing is broken, But from my understand that X-ray can't show herinated disc or any other problems that have to do with the spine. That why I ask for an MRI the first time and the doctor sent for any X-ray, I hated Medicaid cause you got wait for everything. Thanks for the advice.
Avatar f tn i have had mid left side back pain for several months now, orginally thought i had a kidney infection, all test were negative, had an mri, showed i have L5 disc probem and T3 and T4 problems, have a very physical job had fallen at work, kept working so we all thought is was muscular went to a recovery chiropractic office, went through seven weeks of therapy, had one shot in back, no help, ultrasounds of pelvis, and abdomen and renal, all negative.
Avatar f tn I also agree with shinty, ask for some tests to be done, once you have a diagnosis, your doctor will be able to treat you with better results. good luck to you.
Avatar n tn The possibility of brain tumor seems very less although it can only be ruled out completely by a MRI or CT scan of brain. I suggest you get these done at the earliest.
Avatar n tn t go away I went to the doctor and eventually had an MRI/MRV scan done, this was without contrast. I was since diagnosed with a clot in one of the veins, however since then the headaches became far worse and I got really scared. Then, last week, they stopped and have not come back, and when I was sent for a blood test to sort the clot out I was told that no clotting was showing in my blood.
Avatar m tn 3. Suggestion of cerebellar tonsillar ectopia. Attention to this area on brain MRI is suggested in the clinical context of headaches.
Avatar f tn Shasha, there are imaging places, these days, who will do an MRI for $250.00, (if one is paying out of pocket). I, too, had no ability to pay for a costly MRI. Someone told me about an imaging place, (in my area), that would do an MRI for only $250.00. My parents paid for it, as, there for awhile, I had no income. (I have been deemed "disabled" and now receive SSDI).
Avatar m tn The next day I was in total agony with pain radiating down my legs, and pain located in both the lower and middle of my back. I went to hospital and had an MRI scan which showed a degenerated L4-L5 disc and bulging disc at L5-S1 with no neural compromise. The pain continued and I was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon, with my appointment taking several months for me to be seen. In September I was sent for another MRI scan due to continued pain and weakness/numbness in both feet and toes.
Avatar m tn The only way to truly rule it as muscle spasm is by looking at your MRI scan results or X-ray/CT Scan (resolution is crude with these diagnostic tool) and seeing that your spine is healthy and everything is intact and where it is supposed to be. I also have myfascial pain syndrome (fancy term for chronic muscular pain) and I am also on muscle relaxers. The muscle relaxers I found, relieve the pressure applied to my spine from tight muscular bands of tissue that surround the triggerpoints.
Avatar f tn i just had a ct scan done for my back and they found a 12mm low density lesion on left kidney and a stone on right kidney, what is a low density lesion?
Avatar m tn ve had X-rays before, and while they do show a lot, I was so surprised when years after I had tore up my foot somehow and X-ray said I was fine, I had a scan done of that same area as part of a body scan, and do you know they found fractures in my feet!!! No wonder it hurt so much!!!
471747 tn?1211308080 t tell you how having copies of films has saved a lot of time and trouble. Granted, when you get copies of your MRI films they will not have yet been read by the radiologist, but, you can get a copy of that result when you F/U with your doctor. I keep copies of everything. Now they put MRI films on disc. I just keep my own files at home! You will be thankful you got the copies!!
Avatar m tn I try to walk or jog daily but a few weeks ago I started getting pain in my low back (left side) that also causes some pain to my groin and left thigh. This pain comes and goes but depending on how I bend, turn the pain will always return. There are days that I can't exercise because of the discomfort. Any ideas as to what I did and what I need to do?
