mri-scan

Avatar f tn Back at the beginning of december i injured my knee. I had been about to kneel down when my leg gave out and i landed on my knee with it bent in a very awkward way. I had swelling and great amounts of pain and dull ache and after seeing a doctor in A&E was booked for an mri scan and put into a lockable brace which i wore for around 6 weeks as he was sure i'd suffered mcl injury. The scan showed no cartilage damage and no real mcl damage which was suspected.
Avatar m tn After that I was unable to flex my right knee due to pain but I could manage to walk. Upon x ray and MRI scan it was diagnosed as avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament and the fraction bed was 0.1mm. I was applied with POP bandage over the right leg (no surgery done) and advised bed rest. After the treatment period stepping up and down on stair case was difficult for me and slowly felt crepitating noise from the same knee.

Avatar f tn I have had a transvaginal scan, a sigmoidoscopy, a kidney scan, a chest xray, a xray of pelvis spine and left hip. And a mri of pelvis, spine and left hip. The only thing that has come to light is my lumber spine has a slight curve. I am now being sent for bone scans of hip, groin, spine and knee. I still have the left knee pain which the orphapedic said may need an operation see what the bone scans show up.
Avatar n tn The clicking seems to be closest to the lateral posterior outside of the left knee, near the upper calf. Possibly meniscus related. A couple months ago I injured my left knee doing lunges. The pain was really bad, both the front and back of the knee. I never experienced clicking/popping in that knee prior. But suddenly it was happening all the time. As the pain subsided the clicking/popping got worse. It has been a couple months, the clicking/popping still very much there.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with tricompartmental changes of osteoarthritis, most pronounced in the medial tibiofemoral and patellofemoral compartments of the left knee. Complex tearing of the medial meniscus. Will I eventually need an artificial knee or is this something I have to live with.
Avatar m tn I went to my PCP the second day for Xrays and they were fine, and the fourth day I had an MRI of my knee which was fine too. By the end of the 4th day, all pain left as suddenly as it came, thank God! I've experience natural childbirth without any medications at all, but I told my husband and Dr. that this was the absolute most painful thing I've ever experienced in my life! My doc is thinking nerve pain since there was no inflammation, injury, or joint pain.
Avatar f tn Last June I began to experience a feeling of numbness in my left jaw. After a couple of days, my entire left side of my head felt numb. ( not tingly). I was beginning to feel some numbness in my left hand and leg below my knee, including my foot. My leg and foot now feel numb and stiff. I am beginning to feel the stiffness in my hand and shoulder. It is all on the left side. I have had all of the tests. Everything has come back positive. My nuerologist doesn't know what's wrong.
1985289 tn?1328579594 Long story short we all thought the pain was coming from bulging discs pressing on nerves. then after neurosurgeon ruled out that., we realized that both my pelvic cat scan and mri showed a left cyst. although i had a total hysterectomy in 2002 we kept the left ovary only what confuses me the most is this: The mri on 11/1 reads: a 5cm. unilocular left adnexal cyst, tiny adjacent follicle confirms left ovarian origin, also common bile duct dilated at 13mm.
Avatar f tn Say about a month after that, I had had a blackout one night (from way too much drinking) I think I fell over, my knee felt so heavy like i was wearing a boot, and i had pins and needles up adn down my leg (still able to feel leg etc just felt heavy) I went to specialist and had an MRI on knee performed showing a small tear in my miniscus (knee ligament) He said not to operate as operating never helps So as of right now i'm back to worrying as #1 I was suffering exstreme migrains, up back
Avatar m tn It was sensitive to touch, bruised constantly, locking, giving out, snagging, popping and grinding with sharp pain in one area (top left side of knee cap and right under) and then an achey feeling pretty well all the time. Especially after sitting, walking or standing for any length of time. I was then given an injection to give cushion and it ended up doing nothing but making it worse.
Avatar f tn Hi...just a suggestion...u can request a copy of the MRI on disk...and a copy of the report....u will get it b4 u see the dr that rx'd it. Not that u can read it, but if u r sent to a specialist u will have everything u need!!
Avatar f tn Ankle went and I fell onto my left knee. People with me were more worried about my knee but most pain was in the ankle at the time so I was completely unconcerned by the knee. I got up and walked to my meeting, then went to a doctor who briefly glanced at my knee and gave it the all clear, and diagnosed a sprain in my ankle. Five weeks later an xray showed a fracture to my right ankle (lateral malleolus).
Avatar n tn What type of pain is this that hits the right knee abruptly even like lightning so swift, and travels from the knee straight through the thigh nerve and/or tissues, shooting straight to the joint of the thigh and groins that lasts at least one to two minutes. Sometime the pain is so severe even after it has left I can still feel the pressure it leaves behind.
Avatar f tn I had an MRI of my left knee. It says medial meniscus mucoid degeneration in the body and posterior horn.
Avatar m tn Ask your Dr. to do a bone scan. This will show what is wrong. I had to learn the hard way.
Avatar n tn It all started when I twisted my knee when a strong wave knocked me down in the ocean. The MRI showed a strained retinculum tendon of left knee. I also had tightness in the back and side of knee but wore a knee brace. Also my foot was and is still very tight under the arch. This caused me to walk differently ....more on the inside of my foot. Fast forward to 3 months later.
Avatar m tn t help, as she would wake up in the night complaining about the pain, the doctor opted for MRI. First normal MRI was done and then with contrast. The radiologist's report advised that biopsy should be done. at that point we consulted an ortho-pediatrician who advised a CT Scan, which according to the radiologist wasn't' conclusive. Now we have been advised to do the Bone Scan. Can anyone help us in diagnosis. If it's a tumor, someone please tell us it's not malignant.
Avatar f tn So I recently had an MRI done of my knee. During the exam at certain frequencies my leg would tense up or twitch uncontrollably. The tech told me after the first two scans o was moving and put a little wedge between my knee and a sandbag on my leg. This helped a little but the tensing and twitching continued. I had a copy made immediately and it isn't very clear and is pretty blurry.
