1) To know the bones and disc condition, inside the C-1 to C7 level.
2) To know, what is the present condition, of your fused vertebras.
3) To know, if the arthritis, is causing disc impingement or other issues.
Post the MRI scan, we shall know the situation in a better way.
30 years ago I had an acoustic neuroma successfully removed leaving me with a 'dead' ear. After that I was unable to flex my right knee due to pain but I could manage to walk. Upon x ray and MRI scan it was diagnosed as avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament and the fraction bed was 0.1mm. I was applied with POP bandage over the right leg (no surgery done) and advised bed rest. After the treatment period stepping up and down on stair case was difficult for me and slowly felt crepitating noise from the same knee.
The Dr did not have any answers and so asked for a repeat of the Brain scan (Which was normal) and then a MRI to be done. The MRI also was normal. He then said there is nothing to worry about and that she would settle down as probably she had had an overdose of Kepra. This did not happen even 72 hours after her first dose of Kepra and hence we refered her to Dr P Natrajan, Neuro Surgeon and Dr R Shridharan, Neuro Physician at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai.
I went to my family Dr and he ordered a CT scan and a MRI. I did my CT scan on Saturday and the Dr called to say that there is bruising on my brain but it is not near the pain at the base of my skull. My MRI is scheduled for next week and the Dr said they will now do a more in depth MRI after finding the bruising. What is your thougts on what is causing my headaches and are they related to the bruising? Why would I have bruising now with no recent head trama?
I am a 25 year old male with no real history of severe back trauma except for an injury when i was 14. I recently heard a noise in my mid back between my shoulder blades when doing shrugs at the gym and immediatly stopped. Over about 3 months my lower back started popping with some leg pain but regular trips to the chiropractor helped that issue. The real concern is my mid and upper neck right at ther base of my skull.

There is a tiny nondescript subcortical focus of hyperintensity with in the right frontal lobe
There is a a Pineal Cyst noted, as a likely incidental finding, measuring approximately 7mm maximally anteroposteriorly

Last time yrs ago I seen an eye doctor, she told me I had (MS) the sent me to brain specialist, he told me yes probably ms, we will do an (mra) mri scan, and that if its not (ms) then its busted vessles in the brain, the slow vessles are busted into the fast and destroying everything in there path, blind in a year, and death. I went for his (mri) to hear back nothing. So I called, the nurse then say we did not call as we found nothing, doc said must be sinuses.
She has had an MRA,MRV,MRI and a CAT scan they showed nothing. She has had half of her thyroid removed because it was overactive and diseased, although it is now stable. Recently a doctor opened up her neck while she was under a local and tried clamping down different veins and arteries to see if it would stop the noises and pain but it did not work. We don't know what to do now, it is so difficult to see her in pain all the time and she can't cope with anymore.
Shortly thereafter that i started having severe sound sensitivity that when other people or myself talk it hurts my ears and it feels like my ears have this fluttering, reverberating sensation and my brain feels like as if some current is passing through. Please help. I had a hearing test done and it was all normal, had a CT scan done and that was normal too. Please please help.
I leave for the Mayo Clinic (ten hour drive) on Tuedsay to see a MS specialist as referred by my neuro. I have a quick question. While my MRI of my head showed many lesions/demyelination areas my spinal head only showed many hemangiomas and cysts. There were no areas of demyelination. The machine used was a 1.5T. Is there really a big difference in demylenation/lesions showing up with stronger machines? Should I request a second spinal MRI or is this really not necessary?

I of course immediately went to the family physician seeking assistance. I was sent for CAT scan, which they told me was negative, and then later sent for MRI scan, which they also told me was negative.

They admitted me to the hospital thinking i had a heart condition, After a week of observations and blood and heart test they came to the conclusion that my heart was ok. I have had a CT Scan, an MRI and they checked me for a thyroid problem. My problem with the thyroid test is I am not sure what they did.
