My family doc put me off work and told me not to put myself in any position to slip and fall ao hit in the head. The MRI results show the following. APdiameter of the canal at 2-3 is only 11mm. Avatar m tn He gave his diagnosis and then I had a MRI scan. I was young at the time so didn’t really see the seriousness of it and my parents couldn’t afford a follow up scan. I took medication (cataflam mostly for the pain if it was serious) and I stopped Ballet lessons and then stopped basketball as well. The problems with my back stopped then and has been ok for the past few years. Now however, it has started up again and won’t seem to go away even with rest and cataflam.

Felt like my head was going to explode & my neck was in severe pain. Could not sit up without screaming from pain rising up spine into neck & head for a couple of months. More than a year could not bear the pain & weakness suffered in spine shooting into neck, shoulders & head. Battled to keep my head up.
Avatar f tn I just noticed back around January that my neck bone at top of spine is protruding out more than ever before. I have also been getting migraines my entire life but more so this year. I gained a lot of weight over the last year, but this neck bone is starting to really make me question. I'm not sure why it's sticking out so much, but I feel like my neck is giving me migraines most of the time. My neck also feels tense and stiff quite a bit.

Avatar f tn T spine =thoracic spine. L spine=lumber spine,I don't think she need spine looked at.as she has had an MRI and a CT scan which are normal. About that diagnosis,You still need see DC.( neurosurgeon better),of course ,you can exam her neck yourself.but.....
Avatar f tn Yes a full spine MRI so that u have one of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine will help determine if u have disk issues, syringomyelia, tethered cord... And a flow study or CINE MRI is a biggy we all need, Plus finding a Dr well informed and experienced with Chiari may be the way to get these tests.
233622 tn?1279334905 I got my result of my t-spine MRI and everything looked fine. MY c-spine was good too except for a mild bulging disk. I have a lot of trouble with numbness in my arms, neck, mid back. I was expecting something to show up. A pinched nerve or something. My MRI was done on a 1.5 t. I am wondering if something might show up on a stronger machine. It is odd that I'd have this numbness when my back seems to be in good shape.
Avatar f tn I know that the finding of lesions on a MRI scan of the brain may or may not result in any clinical outcomes. So hypothetically speaking, could lesions in the medulla cause pain in the neck area?
Avatar f tn I have severe neck pain as well on my left side. After an MRI of the cervical spine, it showed severe arthritis between my C3-C5. I have an injection done about a month ago and it didn’t do anything. Next step will be a procedure (not sure of the name) to where they burn the nerves.
Avatar f tn Straightening of the cervical lordosis is a straight neck which is also called military neck or cervical kyphosis. If this curvature loss is significant you may experience neck pain/stiffness, shoulder pain and headaches. A traction neck pillow can help with neck pain. Degenerative disc disease (DDD) is not really a disease but this term is used to describe the changes in your spinal discs as you age. The symptoms of DDD vary from person to person and there may be no symptoms at all.
Avatar n tn Did you have an MRI or CT scan of your head done??? If not, you should have this done immediately. While it may be nothing, you should still have this checked out, given your circumstances. This is not to say that it's something you should begin worrying about--but you may have needed more than a neck brace following your accident.
1139665 tn?1382710950 Your cervical spine is the portion of the spine in your neck. I suggested the cervical spine imaging based on your symptoms especially the clicking and "rice crispies" sounds. In my opinion, the problem is coming from your cervical spine based on your complains. The cervical spine MRI would include the back of the head, NOT the front of the head. Thus, it would show any abnormality in the back of the head as well.
Avatar n tn Dear Roseberry, You probably have a disc herniation in your neck and need an MRI scan. If that’s what it is, then you may need to have it taken out, which is usually a one night hospital stay. If you’re having any change in urination of any sort, or difficulty walking, then it becomes much more urgent and you should go to an ER and tell them this. Get the MRI soon. Do not do chiropractry in the face of a disc herniation as it could be dangerous. Dr.
Avatar n tn This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc. A MRI of the cervical spine may be required. Please consult a neurologist. This could have been the reason for your headache. Hope this helps. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn Other treatments could be cervical orthosis such as a soft cervical collar or stiffer neck brace to restrict neck movement till you get complete recovery. In addition, cervical traction may also be suggested by the doctor, if condition is severe. Hope this helps.
