Avatar n tn I have for the last month developed inner knee pain. Feels like an electrical jolt at times. Is not a constant pain but wakes my up at night.
Avatar f tn I have knee pain and swelling that comes and goes. I have been to an Orthopedic and have had x-rays and MRI. Nothing specific was noted in the x-ray and scan. The Dr suggested orthoscopic surgery to see what he might be able to do. I have not had the surgery. He also suggested I may have osteoarthritis. The pain will come with walking, sometimes very quickly and sometimes not much at all.
Avatar f tn Back at the beginning of december i injured my knee. I had been about to kneel down when my leg gave out and i landed on my knee with it bent in a very awkward way. I had swelling and great amounts of pain and dull ache and after seeing a doctor in A&E was booked for an mri scan and put into a lockable brace which i wore for around 6 weeks as he was sure i'd suffered mcl injury. The scan showed no cartilage damage and no real mcl damage which was suspected.
Avatar m tn Hi, my name is james and I'm 27 and I was wondering if you can help me at all for my knee. For about 6 years before my injury that happened in about 2011 I was training, competing and doing demonstrations in a sport combining martial arts and gymnastics at high level.
Avatar f tn t fully extend my knee. The sweeping and pain is in the back on my knee. Every morning I usually extend my knees and crack them but now I can't to the hurt one everytime I try to extend it it feels like too much pressure and it's gonna snap. What should I do?
Avatar n tn What type of pain is this that hits the right knee abruptly even like lightning so swift, and travels from the knee straight through the thigh nerve and/or tissues, shooting straight to the joint of the thigh and groins that lasts at least one to two minutes. Sometime the pain is so severe even after it has left I can still feel the pressure it leaves behind.
Avatar f tn Ankle went and I fell onto my left knee. People with me were more worried about my knee but most pain was in the ankle at the time so I was completely unconcerned by the knee. I got up and walked to my meeting, then went to a doctor who briefly glanced at my knee and gave it the all clear, and diagnosed a sprain in my ankle. Five weeks later an xray showed a fracture to my right ankle (lateral malleolus).
Avatar f tn I had an mri scan a few yew years ago that showed disc protusion at L4/L5/S1. Recently I had another mri scan for neck pain which shows disc bulging at at C4/5 C5/6 with facet joint fusion and some left sided forma ? I have had no recent pain in my back or neck and this hip pain came on literally overnight, although I had overdone things a bit whilst carrying out a bit of decorating.
Avatar f tn I am now being sent for bone scans of hip, groin, spine and knee. I still have the left knee pain which the orphapedic said may need an operation see what the bone scans show up. I am so worried about cancer i dont know why but i am so scared that this pain in my knee is something bad like a tumor. I have no swelling and it is tender to touch the bones on my knee. The pain is over the outside of my knee cap not the bottom its more at the top and sides. Please please someone help.
Avatar f tn Maybe someone can help me. For the past four months I have been experience really severe pain in my lower right leg. I have had shin splints before. I did the anti inflammatories, icing, rest, return to running slowly... etc. The pain persisted. The pain hurts when I run for longer than 5 minutes and hurts the duration of the run, and continues hurting the whole day. I had a bone scan and MRI done.
Avatar n tn Do you have any back pain or muscle weakness in your legs? You may need a mri or ct scan. It sounds like you may have a pinched nerve. This could be very serious if you have back pain along with the numbness. Go to your doctor and get it checked. It could be leading up to serious problems. There is a chart on my profile that shows the nerves and what they control. It may give you a idea of what the problem could be. Best wishes.
Avatar m tn i am also unable to sleep with a blanket over my knee at night, otherwise it disturbs my sleep. i have had about 3 mri scans, 1 ct scan, numerous xrays, and 1 ultrasound. i've seen upwards of 10 orth. specialsts, all of them had told me that nothing had shown up on the scans and that they didnt know what the problem was even though it had obvious swelling and discolouration. but a few doctors have said it may be a disease called crps (chronic regional pain syndrome).
Avatar m tn my doctor said that the MRI didnt show anything wrong with my knee at all. the doctor thought it could be the fatty pad behind my acl wedging between my miniscus and bone, he also told me every thing looked good insided my knee.. after my surgery my simptoms are still the same. they have prescribed all kinds of anti inflamatories and pain killers non of them work at all. the pain is unbearable when i stand or walk for more than 10-15 minutes. the pain reaches a level 10.
1281296 tn?1271347164 We went back over to the hospital on monday to have an x ray and they say they couldnt see any thing and to wait for an MRI scan. My concerns are that when he had his previous MRI scan it took 3 doctors to detect the ACL damage in the first place. Should the knee be this swollen after nearly two months and why would it swell again once the initial swelling had gone down. Should he be exercising or keeping still?? Using an ice pack or not??
Avatar f tn Are there any other tests that might show if there is a problem with the knee cap. Can an MRI be done with TKR, or a Ct Scan or bone scan? Thank you for any advice.
Avatar m tn Okay, hopefully this doesn't turn out too long. I'm NOT looking for a diagnosis, obviously. I just need opinions. And yes, I have seen a doctor about this and so far have gotten nowhere which is why I am on here asking for ideas. I have had a "bad knee" for about six years now (as far as I can remember it's been since 2007). My knee pops a lot, especially when I bend down; I can actually HEAR it crunching and popping!
Avatar m tn But even after one year the noise in the knee and pain was not reduced. Noise and pain especially while raising the leg in sitting position and considerably less during waling. Now the normal left knee is also started pain. Please let me know the noise and pain the affected knee is sign for arthritis?

Avatar f tn 39yrs old and have had intermittent right hip pain for about 20yrs after giving birth at age 19; the pain recently became constant. Syptoms are constant pain in right hip from front to back, minimal range of motion, both legs numb and tingling from knee down and it feels like there is no circulation in my legs; pain increases with any activity. Constant feeling of pressure in low back region of the hip area, feels like hip is slightly dislocated all the time.
2115734 tn?1334546847 For X number of months (where X can be 3, or 4, or 5 or maybe even 6), I have no physical pain in the RIGHT knee. When OA (osteoarthritis) physical pain starts under the kneecap of the RIGHT knee, I do quad sets for Y number of consecutive days (where Y can be 4, or 5, or 6 or 7 consecutive days) and the physical pain ends again for X number of months. I'd like to swim but know that with no external support around the RIGHT knee there's physical pain while swimming.

Avatar m tn Just had a brain scan via MRI. I have a scalp condition - probably lupus. The pain started at the site of recent biopsies and started to spread across the top of my head towards my eyes - then I pushed the emergency button to stop the MRI. It felt like needles poking far into my head. When they pulled me out of the MRI machine and took off all of the gear, my head was shaking uncontrollably. Have you ever heard of that?
Avatar f tn Its possible, are you seeing a Doctor, have you had an x-ray or an MRI scan?
Avatar f tn However from the past few months I am experiencing pain in my knee whenever I bend it. It is not a continuous pain but its like a shooting pain when I bend my leg (like in the bathroom or climbing stairs etc). I mentioned this to my Dr and she checked and said the ligaments are perfect and there is no swelling. But I want to know what this pain is if everything is perfect. I am 32 yrs old and it is getting hard for me to sit on the floor or get up. This is obviously not normal.
Avatar m tn Yes i am almost certain that your 2nd reason could be the problem. I have had an MRI scan on my knee and my consultant advised that my knee looks completely normal. All my tendons, ligaments etc look in perfect condition. From researching online, i have read that about 80% of people who have IM nailing done complain of knee pain, which is usually due to the incision that surgeons make through the patella tendon in order to put the nail in.
