mri scan how long

I did this to myself but what im askin is how long will my body take to recover from years of abuse.I am going for a MRI and spec scan to see how my blood flows.Does anybody else have a similiar story and what were your results.

my husband dislocated ankle yesturday and the hospital says there is know fracture or broken bone thank goodness but we would like to know about how long will it take for him to get better. so he can go back to work he works in construction and there is no benefits so he doesn't want to be out long. so if anyone as dealt with this before please help...

ve had a brain MRI with and without contrast and it was normal. Spinal MRI (three parts)? Normal. CT scan of brain and abdomen? Normal. Nerve conductivity test of legs? Normal. Bloodwork? Normal. More bloodwork? Normal. Vision--- normal. Allergies? None. Normal, normal, normal!!! The only NON-normal thing so far is that I was positive for Babinski's sign (was unaware of it until then) and that I didn't know if some of my fingers and toes were going up or down when I had my eyes closed.

Is it necessary to have more than one MRI scan done. I have only ever had the one scan, 15 yrs ago which was when I was given my official dx, despite having several episodes/relapses since. Initially told I had RRMS now being told I have SPMS with relapses.

my doctor said i need an mri scan as a result of suffering with many symptoms for many months- he said i will receive a letter. does this mean he will book it for me or refer me? i live in the uk. anyone know anything about this?

Is the machine completely enclosed? Very small? How long does a total scan take? Her Dr prescribed her valium...shes never had it before..is 69 yrs old...he told her to take two 5mg (pale yellow) tablets an hour before the scan. Is that a good dose? too much? Not enough? Im just trying to be able to reassure her as much as I can about the scan...so at least she could relax about that a bit. Anyone else out there very claustrophobic, and "made it" thru the scan?

i had mri scan of my brian 3 weeks ago and now want me to have another with the dye injected first . does this mean they have found somehing wrong ?

Should I have an MRI scan it will set me back a lot of money..... Could something really be wrong> I do not know wat was in my E even if it gave me an MDMA feeling. This is a never ending comedown. They can however, detect mental illness such as scitzophreneia which i know because i was diagnosed through an MRI. The only mental illness an MRI scan able detect is an actually different brain connections than that of a normal brain. Ive had one done for mental illess! Can you describe some of your symptoms, what you feel and how often yolou feel it? I know your question is based on needing to know where to get a private MRI scan, which i am unsure of!!

I have not had a MRI or a CT scan. I have had 5 head injuries and 2 of them were major. All the medicine I take doesn't help them at all..

How long does baby have to get into position for birth? I'm kind of scared my baby won't be in position or engaged and I'll have to get a c-section :/.....anyways to try and get her there?? I been on spinning babies but those positions are really uncomfortable for me... I've been on my birthing ball.....when did your baby turn?? How do you KNOW if they turn for good??

Hi there everyone, I'm a newbie here but have been waiting on a Dx now for over 3 years. I see that some members have uploaded their MRI's onto their posts in their photos. It is very interesting to see them all. I know this may sound dumb but can someone tell me how to do it? I only have the images on the film. Do you need to have these on a cd or something before you can upload them? One other query, how do you find out what strength MRI scanner was used.

I've had a migrane for 2 weeks now. I do however have a family history of migrane headaches and severe headaches. As a child it got so bad I needed to get an MRI or cat scan (don't remember exactly I was around 6 when it happened). Nothing was abnormal everything was clear. Plus no family history of any problems brain wise (tumor anneyrisms etc). At this point they go away overnight but within 1-3 hours of waking up they come back full force, sometimes stronger than before.

Had various tests - angiogram, pressure test (diagnosed with upper normal limits), doppler scan, mri, bloods etc - still no diagnosis and cannot get any more help. Originally pain started only with exercise but has gradually got worse and now standing for more than 10 minutes leads to pain for more than several hours. Walking for more than 20 minutes leaves him awake all night in pain. We are at our wits end.

So I ended up paying for my own MRI scan of my head and neck. The head scan came back fine, but the neck report said "borderline bulky lymph nodes are suspected along the anterior cervical chain superiorly on both sides and there are posterior cervical lymph nodes visible on both sides, left greater than right." My GP is now sending me for an abdominal ultrasound on the 5th of March.

Phew, know how you feel. IT is such a rollercoaster ride. I am unsure how to answer I'm sure others will. I just wanted to chime in on all the crazy feeling stuff......
