mri-scan

Avatar f tn Hi, last year I had an MRI scan. I was having it as the Dr was looking to see if I had an AVM on the brain, I get a lot of headaches and have an AVM on my right forearm. When I went to see the Dr he told me my results, he said there is a malformation there but it isnt an AVM. He then pointed to the temporal lobes and said they are low. I should of asked him what that meant, but I never ask questions when Im there, I just say to myself I should of asked this and I should of asked that.
Avatar n tn Hi, any luck with getting an MRI scan. Have you been back to the doctor to discuss your symptoms? Are you in the UK?
Avatar f tn I had a CT SCAN December 2012 and MRI March 2013 both came back normal. My neurologist diagnosed it as chronic tension headaches and were prescribe Topamax that I stopped taking about a year ago. I am very scared something is wrong because I am having nagging headaches starting at the back and working its way behind my eyes. I don't know if its anxiety/stress or if its really something wrong. Should I go get another Ct Scan or MRI? My doctor tells me Im ok its from anxiety and sleep apnea.
Avatar n tn Blood tests, urine tests, and a scan (mri preferably if you are under 65yrs). Go back...this is not on!
Avatar m tn Yes, a sore neck can give you headaches. Before running off for an MRI or CTscan, you should perhaps see a chiropractor or doctor first. Sometimes when my neck is "out" I will get severe headaches or migraines. If taking medication helps, this tells me that it's most likely a muscle problem.
Avatar f tn Because she also had some problems with vertigo she has had an MRI and a CT scan which are normal. So could something in her neck or back be causing the headaches?
Avatar n tn t go away I went to the doctor and eventually had an MRI/MRV scan done, this was without contrast. I was since diagnosed with a clot in one of the veins, however since then the headaches became far worse and I got really scared. Then, last week, they stopped and have not come back, and when I was sent for a blood test to sort the clot out I was told that no clotting was showing in my blood.

Avatar f tn Since then I have had a cat scan on my lower back and it found three bulging discs with two impinging on nerves. Plus my cervical spine Xray showed degenerative discs. Do you think I should ask for a full spine mri. Could these be related to chiari. So constant headache worsened by sneezes or coughing. Sleep apnea, twitching eye and hands. Plus the spine issues. My balance is Bad. And I bet my hearing is worse. My gp planning on repeating mri of head soon.

Avatar n tn I had an MRI, Ct scan AND several xrays done for my migraines. i get them a lot. the MRI and Ct scan both came back fine.... the xrays showed that i have extra fluid in my sinuses, which was later diagnosed as sinusitis.
Avatar n tn It is my understanding that the CAT scan can not pick up certain things and I am concernd about a tumor being missed because I can not obtain an MRI. Can you please comment on the differences between a CAT scan and an MRI and how concerned I should be about not being able to obtain an MRI? Can you suggest the best way to proceed with getting a diagnosis given the complications of having a defibrillator?
Avatar m tn Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern. For such headaches, possibilities like migrainous, cluster headache, hypertension and refractive errors that need to be evaluated thoroughly with the help of a neurologist here.
Avatar f tn I was thinking that my headaches were caused by needing glasses but then the past couple of days I have been actually waking up with headaches, which actually occurs quite frequently. I am constantly taking BC or Goody's powder to get rid of them quickly just to keep up with the household chores and children but fear that may cause other problems with my stomach and such. Plus like I mentioned in my last question my MRI cam back "normal".
1867019 tn?1353467540 ve talked to one of my doctors an he said it sounded like cluster headaches. I had a CT scan last year and it was normal. It's on my left side like behinds and in front of my ear and then above my eye.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone... thanks for having this community... my next step is a MRI with contrast... totally taken by surprise although all of the symptoms are dead on... lots of pain ..I've had 3 lower back surgeries, 1 neck with a metal plate and 6 screws from a whiplash... can someone please help...thank you Normal gray-white differentiation is present. There is no CT evidence of acute cortical ischemia. Subtle patchy low attention is seen in the left frontal sub corral white matter.
Avatar f tn The first thing the doc did was give me some meds, after 1 month of that not working I requested a ct scan and then an MRI as things were not getting better. They ususally have to do the least invasive thing first before going on to bigger tests. Either way, take your headaches seriously because as I use to tell my doctors its not "normal" to have headaches everyday.
Avatar m tn Hi...do u have a history of headaches?.....a MRI of the cervical spine and brain w/wo contrast may be a good idea..and always ask for copies of all tests and reports so if need be u can get a 2nd opinion. Do go for more testing and post an update and also look at symptoms u may have had but may not have considered related to this....it could well be.
