Avatar f tn We can't tell you about the test cost in different countries. You can ask your doctor for a type specific IgG blood test. Is there a reason you think you might have herpes? If you don't have symptoms, and haven't had a lot of risk, please really consider if you want to take the test. There are false positives on the type 2 test, and working through that can get very expensive and can take weeks. I'm not sure the testing needed to do that is available in the Philippines.
Avatar m tn I had an MRI of the brain back in May, to investigate various cognitive / neurological problems I've been experiencing since the start of 2009 (mild confusion, memory problems, muscle twitching, etc). This came back normal (I have neither copies of the scans , nor the radiographers report - just a letter from neurologist saying all findings were normal).
405614 tn?1329144114 Im in Indiana & know that MRI's can cost any where from $300 to $5000. It depends what all they are going to scan (head, neck, back), if they will be useing contrast, & if it is reg MRI or wide open. If insurence is an issue, talk to neuro about it, sometimes they will re-duce the cost. Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn I contacted Shared Solutions about getting Copaxone in the Philippines several months ago, they provided me this number in Singapore, 65-65090403. Hope this maybe of some help.
Avatar f tn In our country, Philippines. Having HEP B is like having a HIV. It is such a social discrimination. After i discovered i have the thesis i became depressed. Lazy to study knowing i don't have a chance of becoming a doctor someday because I'm a carrier of the disease. But I'm still hoping there a cure even if the world is telling me it's incurable I hope god will spare us from this disease. What should I do? I'm still a student.
Avatar f tn h has cronic hbv, to know if he has no damage he needs to monitor liver damage by fibroscan every 6 months, blood tests cannot say if there is liver damage or not tenofovir+peginterferon have high chances to clear hbv as long as hbeag is positive but you wont find doctors in the philippines to cure hbv, check if kinetix memeber found any doctor in the philippines or if he will move to vietnam or close country to get treatment

4900949 tn?1361380560 We don't have abbott architect yet here in the Philippines, but as far as i know only hi precision laboratory offers a quantitative test for HBsAg in IU/ml. I don't know what machine they are using but you can still get the results in IU/ml. Abbott architect is more accurate though.

987762 tn?1671273328 The MRI The purpose of a MRI or magnetic resonance imaging machine, is to harmlessly work out what internally is physically wrong with you, without involving exploratory surgery. MRIs have 3 types: conventional, open bore and fully open. In an conventional MRI, a long toroidal (Doughnut-shaped) electromagnet supplies the electromagnetic force, and the subject is put through a long 'tunnel', where a full-body scan is supplied.
