667611 tn?1226005294 Yup, that's with and without contrast. I have the worst luck adding on MRIs to my scheduled MRI. I had a cervical MRI and thought - heck, I'll be there - just scan my head again. No go. The neuro thought it was 'too early' as I'd had an MRI six months prior. However, that's just my neuro. Feel free to ask yours and see if he'll throw another one in there.
Avatar f tn I was then sent to a neurologist whom after giving me Bilateral Nerve block in my head and face x 3 agreed with me to have an MRI Scan, below were the results, I have posted the MRI scan for head on the brain forum, the scan revealed a Bulky Pituitary...a further MRI was done on this particular area but doctors have no idea why it is like that...Further tests revealed that I have Adrenal Insufficiency,, there was 0 cortisol in my adrenals this was revealed May 2014..
Avatar f tn I knew something was wrong considering the fact that the Neuro only did a brain and cervical MRI....no spinal mri. My cervical cord already showed a small syrinx and I had lesions in the brain. He definately dropped the ball with this and I felt like he brushed me off. Neurosurgions are hard to get an appointment with, but maybe it won't be too long.
Avatar n tn Did the MRI include cervical spine? If not then a repeat MRI should be done including cervical spine. An injury or compression at upper cervical level can cause headache, nausea and numbness of one half of body. Other than that possibility of a subdural hematoma should be considered. Please discuss with your daughter’s neurologist. Hope this helps. Wishing her an early recovery! Take care!
Avatar m tn there is limited ability to bend the head toward the shoulder and rotate the head. CT scan or spine MRI, spine or neck x-ray, EMG, myelogram etc. conservative therapy includes NSAIDs, narcotic or muscle relaxants, physical therapy to learn exercises, cortisone injections to specific areas of spine, drugs like phenytoin, carbamazepine, tricyclic antidepressants etc. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn I know that the finding of lesions on a MRI scan of the brain may or may not result in any clinical outcomes. So hypothetically speaking, could lesions in the medulla cause pain in the neck area?
293157 tn?1285873439 hi there...I'm feeling better today,,, had a long cry yesterday and feel much better today...just wondering since I'm heading to have a whole spine MRI...what reasoning would that be...the specialist just went on and on yest...so quickly that I could ask why...and VEP..what exactly will that tell? also a bladder scan...is that a ultra scan type thing.. she is also checking my autoimmune things again...does that sometimes change and show antibodies? I know we are not Dr...
Avatar f tn Yes a full spine MRI so that u have one of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine will help determine if u have disk issues, syringomyelia, tethered cord... And a flow study or CINE MRI is a biggy we all need, Plus finding a Dr well informed and experienced with Chiari may be the way to get these tests.
Avatar m tn s, I Have A Question I Hope That Will Be Answered, On Weds Evening I Had A 3rd MRI Of The Brain And Cervical Spine The Brain Part Of The MRI Went Just Like The Last Two I Remembered But When They Started To Scan My Cervical Spine It Was Different From The Previous Two That I Had, In That I Could Feel The Vibrations Up My Back They Were Not Large Vibrations But A Sort Of Tingling But Definitley Up My Spine.
1645073 tn?1302694588 I am a 40 y. old female, and I had a brain and cervical spine MRI because of tingling in right leg and arm, right arm weakness, right side of face and tongue tingling, eye pain ( not all at the same time). My doctor said that the MRI is normal. I see a couple of things on my cervical MRI, that look like MS lessions. I am not a smoker, I do not have High blood pressure, etc. Shouldn't my MRI be without any spots on it if it would be normal?
Avatar m tn I was just wondering if an MRI would pick that up, because I had an MRI of the Lumbar and Cervical. I should also mention that I sometimes have a tingling sensation. Regardless, I think I should see a neurologist as you suggested.
Avatar n tn I am being evaluated for CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy) and recently had an MRI/MRA of the cervical spine. It showed, among other things, hypertrophic changes, of C 3-7, but it didn't say where. Does one assume that the changes are in the nerve roots, which would then point to CIDP, OR are the changes elsewhere and only mean degenerative changes? My appointment with the neuro isn't for about another month.
Avatar m tn Dr. reffered me MRI Cervical Spine without contrast as i have been suffering from neck pain on left had side since 5 years. this pain leads to migraine these days constantly and my neck on left and right side gets swollen. beside this, pain remains 24 hours on neck and my muscles gets stiff. Findings of MRI Report 1. disc osteophyte complex at the level of c5/c6 causing indentation on thecal sac. howevere, no gross narrowing of the existing nerve root foramen identified bilaterally. 2.
Avatar n tn Your CT scan reports are suggestive of posterior ligamentous ossification possibly posterior longitudinal ligament, which can be a cause for cervical spine stenosis. This could be responsible for cervical spondylosis. Symptoms may vary from none to radiculomyelopathy with spastic paralysis of the extremities depending on the thickness of ligament ossification. You would have neurological symptoms depending on the residual canal size. MRI would elaborate the spine changes better.
