As from 22 Dec 2011, I had some discomforts consistent with high BP. Checked BP personally on an OMRON digital equipment which showed 98 /176. Doctor check and read 95 / 170. Had been taking Losar 25 (Losartan Potassium IP). Doctor increased the dosage to Losar 25x2 +Amlodipine Basilate 5mg. Still not much relief in the discomfort level. At random I have a kind of heaviness on my head, a feeling consistent with a person taking strong wine giving a post-feeling muscle pull on the face.
say to you about the high signal lesions seen on MRI? Are you able to get back in to see this Dr? I can tell that you are feeling badly by what you say, and I'm sure your boy really needs you. Heck, you need you. Strange pains all over don't sound MSish to me, but if you can describe the feeling badly stuff (besides fatigue - we know that one) maybe we can help you put together a short list to bring w/you for a check up, or steer you toward some helpful next steps.

The only mental illness an MRI scan able detect is an actually different brain connections than that of a normal brain. Ive had one done for mental illess! I had an MRI of the brain back in May, to investigate various cognitive / neurological problems I've been experiencing since the start of 2009 (mild confusion, memory problems, muscle twitching, etc). This came back normal (I have neither copies of the scans , nor the radiographers report - just a letter from neurologist saying all findings were normal).
I don't have money to waste! ;) Doesn't a MRI and CT scan basically do the same thing? Wouldn't it be normal to get the CT scan first THEN the MRI if necessary?

I've just had this MRI report MRI Spine lumbar + sacral: Routine examination. Mild degenerate lumbar scoliosis with disc degenration from L1/2 to L5/S1. Multiple level posterior anular disc bulges.. No evidence of a significant disc protrusion into the spinal canal. There is a right foraminal/ extra foraminal disc protrusion at L3/4. Yeah they already did that all back when they were testing me when I was 15 apparently and I'm pretty sure they got my MRI and CAT scan before diagnosing me with that last year because as I said the doctor I went to first forwarded my brain scans to them as she was only a general practitioner and they got it before seeing me. Appreciate the info however, makes me wonder if they diagnosed me with it back when I was 15 but wouldn't tell me with the way they acted.

A week or so after the results were sent to him I had a letter that was sent out but the practice rang me before the letter got here and I had to go back in and see him. I will quote for you the MRI findings as I'm sure they will make sense to most of you here. I don't know what strength the scanner was but would almost guarantee you that it was ancient and would have been lucky to have even been 1.5T Radiologist: " There are a number of abnormalities.
