After a couple of weeks the paralysis in my face went away but I still suffer on occasion from weakness in my left arm. Recently, after spending a wonderful day out, I developed paralysis in the right side of my face, as well as slurred speech, but no other symptoms. Again, I was admitted to the hospital overnight where they started me on Plavix.

Avatar n tn The pain is in the top quadrant of each arm and aches intermittently throughout the day and night. When I press in a certain area on each arm, the area feels very tender and also lumpy (not sure if it is muscle or lymph node?). Generally the areas feel sore and achy as if I had been punched there. I have no neck pain and good ROM with each shoulder. When I raise my right arm/shoulder up sideways though, I do feel the right arm pain.
Avatar f tn Another issue I am having is not being to wipe with my right arm like I have always wiped. My right arm is weak and painful. Feels like muscle strain and at the elbow feels like joint pain. This started 3 months ago. I almost dropped my 2 year old niece one day. Ever since then I will not pick her up with that arm. Just thoughts.
Avatar m tn 30 PM they cnducted the MRI. The following morning, he felt a little better however his speach was still slurred and he was complaining about sharp pins and needles in his right arm, right hand and his right foot. He had feeling in those extremities but had no control and he couldn't walk. :Ater that day, the neurologist came in after reading the MRI. The MRI showed no signs of a stroke and no damage to the brain.

Avatar f tn Thank you for your reply, I was first told it was a rota cuff then a frozen shoulder then neuropathic pain then a shoulder impingement.......I had a mri scan but all that came back was mild tendonitis mild arthritis and evidence of 2 small bursa , my GP and pain clinic doctor said that the result of my scan does not warrant the amount of pain I am in. I have an appointment in oct to see a shoulder specialist hopefully he will help me.

Avatar n tn I have a lot of pain running through my left arm that i believe are cause from the degenrative disc as diagnosed through a cervical MRI. I have pupils that are of different sizes and have had muscle spams and "vibrations" in my legs. Can this be from the nreve issues from the degerative disc? Avatar f tn 3 years ago I woke up with numb lip, like a beginning of Bell's palsy, I had bad coordination and bad perception of depth for weeks after. I would go short when trying to catch objects. nobody cared so I did nothing. recently I had MRI but for a different reason and nothing showed up.
Avatar m tn Most beneficial is either a CT scan or a MRI scan. Your PCP will determine which scan will be the better diagnostic tool based on his clinical examination. It is also possible, as ChronicPain suggests that you actually injured the anatomy in your cervical spine. Again there are too many possibilities to "guess" which injury may have occurred when you pushed that vehicle. Please let us know how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Radiologists vary in how they describe the data on the MRI. I've seen so many different ways of describing lesions - hyperintensity, white matter changes, lesions, enhancement - that it can be very confusing. They really need to be more consistent. I think it's worth following up with your neurologist, if you can afford it. What strength was the MRI done at? You can call the clinic and ask what machine they're using. A .
Avatar n tn Dear Doctor, I have been suffering from pins and needles in my left arm and tingling and weakness in my index, thumb and second finger for about 4 week after having severe neck and shoulder pain for 3 days. Avatar f tn Concerned with this unfamiliar sensation, I decided to go to see my GP about the symptoms. I was sent for a CT scan, ultra-sound scan and finally a MRI scan....the results were that I had a pinched nerve also with mild arithirits in the discs. MRI Cervical Spine says Torticollis to left. C5/C6 degeneration There is reversal of the normal cervical lordosis. Vertebral body height and intervertebral disc space height is maintained. There is loss of hydration in all of discs from C2/C3 to C6/C7.
