I had an mri scan done two weeks ago although it was for my baby I guess it is still safe :) I am now 27+3

I went to the er once and they wanted to do a cat scan or mri but because i was pregnant they wouldnt. My obgyn said if necessary i should get one, what good is a healthy baby without a healthy mom. I am just worried about the effects on the baby. I am 27 weeks, work full time, and have a 2 year old. I am just so conflicted with what to do, not sure i can last another 13 weeks with this kind of pain. Tylenol does not help.

A CT scan was ordered to check for a clogged sinus cavity, I was put on zyrtec-D and sent home. My CT scan showed no sinus blockage, but indicated a possible Chiari 1 malformation. My Dr. blew it off, said that I was probably born with it, that it only shows symptoms in childhood, so I would never have any problems. After doing my own research and finding this site, I am for sure WAY more concerned. I have made another Dr. appt.

I had a bad auto accident in Nov and after x-rays and CTon my neck A MRI was recomended. My family doc put me off work and told me not to put myself in any position to slip and fall ao hit in the head. The MRI results show the following. APdiameter of the canal at 2-3 is only 11mm. There is a reversal of normal Lordosis. moderate narrowing of the CSF space around the cord and all levels 2-7 have moderate canal narrowing along with foramina narrowing.

I had a brain mri scan for recurrent 'auras' thought to be due to migraine. The result of the scan came back normal except for a few spots of plaques. I am 50, is this normal? I am concerned that it is indicative of early degeneration associated with dementia.

P. and telling him this, he said he cannot authorise an MRI scan or refer me to a back specialist, all i have is a bit of backache and i am on the mend, I visited the dentist yesterday for a filling and once the dentist had finished, i couldn't get out of the chair, i have 3 children, an 11 year old, a 2 year old and a 6 month old, i cannot pick up the two youngest as it is too painful.

I have recently had an MRI scan and the report has indicated that I have a L5/S1 circumferential disc bulge whih displaces the exiting L5 nerve roots bilaterally.. On the left this effaces the perineural fate and contacts the L5 nerve root. A neurosurgeon has apparently reviewed my scan and said there is no evidence of this disc bulge without even seeing me and suggested tertherd cord syndrome should be investigated..

I have just had my appt through for a MRI with contrast of the head and spine. I am feeling very anxious as I am very clausaphobic and will be in the scanner for about an hour. If I get sedated my appt will be longer. How small is the tube?

Hi, last year I had an MRI scan. I was having it as the Dr was looking to see if I had an AVM on the brain, I get a lot of headaches and have an AVM on my right forearm. When I went to see the Dr he told me my results, he said there is a malformation there but it isnt an AVM. He then pointed to the temporal lobes and said they are low. I should of asked him what that meant, but I never ask questions when Im there, I just say to myself I should of asked this and I should of asked that.

The only mental illness an MRI scan able detect is an actually different brain connections than that of a normal brain. Ive had one done for mental illess! Is it necessary to have more than one MRI scan done. I have only ever had the one scan, 15 yrs ago which was when I was given my official dx, despite having several episodes/relapses since. Initially told I had RRMS now being told I have SPMS with relapses.

I had a brain MRI one time, I had to be sedated because I was afraid of it, they even have a little mirror in there so you can see out of it, sort of claustrophobic in the machine, and they had a microphone and radio in there so I could talk to the techs. When the machine started up, it was VERY loud, surprised me, kind of made a bumping racket.
