12832842 tn?1448728801 Hi! I’ve had ms for 5 years. Copaxone 5 years ago- doing fine. Recently I have not been able to inject as I’m loosing available areas. My Nero is suggesting a drug called Ocrevus. Fairly new/ but seems to think in terms of efficacy and safety, it is a better choice. I was wondering if anyone has been using it. I worry about pml, I worry about cancer, I worry about everything! It’s why I had such a love affair with copaxone. Most natural. Latest mri had shown 4 new lesions/ mild progression.
Avatar f tn I used to work at a hospital and they never allowed housekeepers or nurses that were pregnant to be assigned to those rooms for safety purposes.
402205 tn?1230481005 I have a question for the nurses. I jammed my pinky finger somehow on Saturday. Its really swollen and hurts around the knuckle. Should I just tape it to the ring finger and let it heal? It feels a little better that way. I just don't feel like going to the doctor?
Avatar f tn I hate when Dr's an nurses tell you not to freak out because that just makes me freak out! Ugh I just wanna go home...
628735 tn?1273875777 m are talking about so just says what ever to try and make me feel better rather than saying she will discus it with my OB or NP and get back to me. I would rather wait a little longer for her to get back to me so I can feel better a person that knows more about my question can tell her what to to say to me!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn however in general, all things being equal, an MRI is preferred as having less risk. The MRI machines are rated in Tesla units a "T3" machine can do anything a CT scan can do. All x-ray radiation is dangerous, however this is a risk-benefit situation. There is no doubt that the CT scan saves many lives.
Avatar m tn Are you sure it was contaminated?Nurses don't reuse syringes unless you live in Africa which you don't.

Avatar f tn I was having a MRI done and about 10 to 15 minutes later the back of my head started burning. I had forgot to take my hair clip out. I now have spasm in my forehead and the left side of my face. Should I be worry about this getting worst?
Avatar f tn I had my induction scheduled for this morning. My doctor called and said they don't have enough nurses to cover it! What!!! They new I was coming, it's been scheduled for 3 days, they should have had a few more nurses on to cover inductions. It's just ridiculous. Hoping they'll still be able to get me in sometime today. Fingers crossed ladies!
214864 tn?1229715239 I went for an Mri of the Lumbar segment of my spine. My Rheumatologist sent me. The Mri Technician had done an Mri of my brain about 3 weeks earlier and went over every image made on the computer monitor. So, I ask him if he would go over the images of my spine with me and he was more than happy to. The very first image he showed me was this initial transverse image, and I had a large round white spot at T8, which was large enough to affect T7 & T9 also.
4760166 tn?1398357313 Hi.....I had a few not so good and one or two great nurses.....they are like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are going to get...lol... Did they start you on neck exercises yet?
Avatar m tn This may be a b it more info than you were after but...First, I forget if I've read it on these forums or elsewhere, just note that this is my experience...results may vary. I suppose I can call myself lucky that I caught the Chiari when only my right hand was affected so I didn't have a lot of the other common symptoms like headaches, pain when coughing, etc. The first few weeks were rough.
Avatar n tn I havent ate in 24 hours, i have been 4 cm for a whole week so far. The night shift nurses are letting me eat though i am starving too! Like crazy.

Avatar f tn You cannot go in the MRI area that is marked by safety signs, that is, you cannot be in the room with the machine or down at that end of the hallway. But now, as far as I know, if the machine is not on, you can be in the general area, but since there's no way of knowing that, just steer clear of those signs they put up.
Avatar f tn If some is poking theirself with a safety pin in the arm no noticeable blood then starts poking someone else in the arm is that a risk for hiv? Dont think there was any noticeable blood on either person.
Avatar m tn The health care nurses in Texas may not have consistently used proper protocol when treating the ebola patient.
721201 tn?1236603680 Thank you for the prompt response. I was diagnosed in 1992 with M.S. and have been relatively stable until recently (having small exacerbations, only noticeable by me) . I have had a few Major exacerbations, but not many. Over the years it has been challenging finding a neurologist that is able to interpret my MRIs. When I am able to walk and run races I am told I should not be walking at all. When I am not able to walk I am told there is nothing wrong.
Avatar m tn Thanks God that the result is all negative… My doubt only that the nurse reused the needle to me… I was in the room for almost 5 minutes waiting for the nurse and checked the room if there’s a needle in the table and she came to room and I inform her that I’m the one who will open the needle and she allowed me to open the needle and I gave her and she find difficulties to draw the blood in my skin so she asked the another nurse to take a blood on me…and that time I don’t know if the nurse gave
Avatar m tn I went to my local NHS GUM at 3 weeks for advice (not knowning the window periods.I wonder if the nurse also did for she decided ti to test me at 24 days (this to the best of my knowledge was a 4th GEN). I had to wait 2 weeks for my results and after a VERY stressful fortnight, they came back negative. Relieved, at week six I got a very dry mouth. Concerned, I phoned up the GUM clinic again, there a health adviser told me the nurse had got the timing wrong and it should have been 28 days.
