Avatar n tn I had an ocular exam last Friday- eyes were dilated with tropicamide and proparacaine. Prior to this I have not had any vision problems, never worn glasses or contacts. This visit I was concerned with some minor blurriness at night and the optometrist said I needed glasses just for driving/distance vision (OD-0.25, )S-0.5).
630166 tn?1222287376 I had Lasik sugery about 4 years ago and had dry eye for a couple of years, but then that improved with the help of using Restasis. About a week ago I woke up with redness and mat in my left eye. My first thought was I had the pink eye. I went to my doctor and he gave me Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution. That didn't help, so then he gave me Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution.
Avatar m tn Because the cipro gave mild relief he put me on a 7 day course of Moxifloxacin. It seems to erradicate the stuff in most studies where doxy failed. I just started the mox today about 3 hours ago. Not sure what else could cause persistent urethritis for over a month. Any other ideas if this doesn't work?

Avatar m tn hey there, badgerMR. to be honest, i took metronidazol just one day after i took my azythromicine (i know, shouldn't self-diagnose), but I took them anyway. and it did not help. Avatar m tn doxycycline, azithromycin and moxifloxacin. The first two failed to clear my infection and now I have two days that I finished the moxifloxacin 400 mg( 10 days treatment) clearing my symptoms. Avatar m tn eyedrops (Ophthalmic; Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 0.1%; Naphazoline Nitrate 0.033%) My eyes became red like hell day after my last usage of the drops. They were itching and tearing like crazy for a couple of hours, the next day all came back to normal. Day after that, a strong sinus infection occured, but i dealt with it due to anti-biotics. I was healthy within two weeks, but since then I'm dealing with few vision problems.

Avatar n tn A recent study was done to show that Myco was only erradicated by 85% of those on the Azithro regiment described, however Avelox ( Moxifloxacin) killed Myco in all cases. Routine is to try described Azithro regimen first and if symtoms still exist Moxifloxacin. Why? I guess so that Myco doesn't become Moxifloxacin resistant. Save the bugs, kill the patient kind of thing. I say take the 400mg a day X 10 day regiment of Moxifloxacin and help yourself.
Avatar n tn You could try as wet warm compress on your eye or try rinsing with saline solution, the cold could have gone into your eye..

So I stopped using it. All I am doing now is wearing my glasses. my right eye feels like someone punched it. What is wrong? I can say that I have also been feeling a lot more anxious lately, hot flashes and my urine is neon yellow...

Avatar n tn Well ill be honest some times my eyes feel like they're being strained, especially when im looking at my pupils in the mirror/shining a light in them. Starting to think its my eye muscles that were damaged and maybe they just need time to recover. which explains the gradual healing.
Avatar m tn But the doctor mentioned that my white blood cell count is slightly higher than normal ( WBC count taken from the swabs, not from my blood work) and mentioned that there might be an infection so she prescribed Avelox (Moxifloxacin), 4 x 400mg once daily. The background is, I am Chinese male, been with my girlfriend for about a year and both of us have been loyal and we were both asymptomatic before this event.
428506 tn?1296557399 Thanks for sharing this. I did not list all of my symptoms before. I do not have visual snow, but I do have stomach problems in the form of reflux that causes extra mucous in my throat so I have a ticke and cough from it. The reflux is not responding well to over the counter meds, but did go away (along with my other symptoms) while I was on oral steroids. You mention the idea of a common source that tirggered your problems.
Avatar n tn The drops we were given are Atropine Sulfate Ophthalmic Solution 1%. If her eyes will be dilated this long or longer with one drop, how are we to give them to her once a day for 5 days? I am guesing you cannot give them when the eye is still dilated right?? I called her eye doctor yesterday, and they said it was ok, and not to worry, but I am. I tried to call again today, but no one will answer. I even called they pharmacy, but they were no help.
