Avatar f tn I was finally able to find a surgical center to perform my cataract surgery (severe anemia). Began the moxifloxacin drops before surgery, no problems. After surgery, I started the Ketorolac and the prednisolone drops. Surgery was late Wednesday, took drops once, then on Friday morning, I awakened to a rash on both forearms that itch like mad and are on fire.
1413519 tn?1281818201 He was sent to a specialist. Treatment plan, antibiotic drops, steroid drops, as well as some type of drops to help his pupil to shrink. Although his redness has diminished, his pupil is HUGE and he has very poor vision from that eye. This is after about 2 1/2 weeks of incident and 1 week of specialist treatment plan. I tried to surf net for information with little results. Any guess of outcome would be appreciated. Thank you.
177275 tn?1511755244 15 cg of this mix. What gets into the eye would be approximately 750 micrograms of the moxifloxacin and 150 micrograms of the dexamethasone. After I’ve taken the cataract out, I check my incisions like I normally would to make sure the incisions are water-tight. Then I use a 1cc syringe and an AC cannula (27 or 30 gauge) through the paracentseis site, and go right underneath the anterior capsule and inject,” he said. According to Dr.

17644146 tn?1458782868 I contacted the company and asked them if their Clear Eyes Pure Relief Multi Symptom Preservative Free eye drops had antihistamine (which I cannot take). There answer was "4/4/2017 "We like to advise you that the product contains the following ingredients phenylephrine hydrochloride, glycerin, hypromellose, citric acid, purified water, sodium chloride, and sodium citrate. We have no indication of whether or not the product contains antihistamine.
Avatar f tn included are tobramycin eye ointment, moxifloxacin eye drops, and cephalexin. When I finally saw an opthamologist, he tried doxycycline (100mg BID x 7 wks) and erythomycin (TID for 3 months), which seemed to make the bumps shrink, but not go away completely. Anyhow, my real concern is that ever since I stopped the erythromycin eye ointment, my eye lids have been swollen and stingy...putting in artificial tears alleviates the problem for 2 hrs and it comes back.
Avatar f tn 2 weeks ago, this problem was aggravated(due to allergy) and so i consulted a doctor who prescribed me some eye drops(OLAPHAT) for 1 week and eye mist drops and he told it was due to allergic reaction,he never mentioned about any other disease like blepharitis.the blood vessels dilated was minimized to a small extent but i could not eliminate the one or two completely. i don't have itching, flakes in eyelashes, nor any pain, nor dry eyes.
Avatar m tn The doctor said he could restart the dilating drops (cyclopentolate hydrochloride) and this has helped his pain spasms. However, whenever the drops wear off the pain spasms come back. Has anyone else experienced this? I have extensively searched the internet and can not find any other similar posts. His doctor had not heard of it. We are wondering if perhaps the buckle his impacting his muscle that is used for focusing? Or is this normal and it will just take awhile for the pain to stop?
Avatar m tn 1. Moxifloxacin 400mg -once a day 2. Tranexamic Acid 500mg- twice a day 3. Montelukast 10mg- once a day 4.Levosalbutamol 1.25 mg- twice a day 5. Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 120mg- once a day 6. Deflazacort 24mg- once a day. I have started taking the above medicine for last three days. Now, I feel healthy save some little dizziness. However, I still suddenly cough fresh blood once or twice a day with almost zero phlegm.
Avatar n tn so he put me on Tobramycin ointment, Steroid drops and Moxifloxacin drops. After a week the swelling was down, no more redness in the sclera and my palpebral conj. was less red with the blisters smaller. We got it cultured and it came back Staph. Aureus, nothing significant since it was scant and we all have that flora. So we diminished the doses of the 3 meds and after about another 10 days it looked healed. my palpebral conj. was white there was one blister left barely visible.
Avatar n tn My pupil has continued to be dilated in an irregular shape since that time. I am using 1% Pilocarpine Hydrochloride drops 3x/day. It is normal when I wake after putting the drops in before bedtime, but begins to enlarge shortly after waking. It remains down for about 4 hours following he use of the drops. Any suggestions as to cause or treatment?
Avatar m tn The doctor said it could take up to 1 week for the pupil to stop dilating, but I have not noticed any gradual improvement. Yesterday he put in some pilocarpine drops and determined that my eye muscles were still working. He did say that if the pupil won't stop dilating he could go in and do a purse string suture to fix this. What are the complications and risks involved with this?
Avatar f tn Are there any special precautions I should take when choosing eye drops? there was a post somewhere about this but I can't find it - something about being alcohol free.
Avatar n tn You have a serious problem that can cause permanent damage to the eye and in the worst case loss of eye. It may take longer than a week to clear up. use the medicine drops exactly as prescribed. Deal with the sensitivity to light with a hat and sunglasses. You can even get sun goggles like people wear after cataract surgery that block from the side and top. Ask the ophthalmologist about them tomorrow. DO NOT WEAR YOUR OTHER CONTACT LENS.
Avatar m tn eyedrops (Ophthalmic; Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 0.1%; Naphazoline Nitrate 0.033%) My eyes became red like hell day after my last usage of the drops. They were itching and tearing like crazy for a couple of hours, the next day all came back to normal. Day after that, a strong sinus infection occured, but i dealt with it due to anti-biotics. I was healthy within two weeks, but since then I'm dealing with few vision problems.
Avatar f tn I have an eye allergy that started several years ago, after I had pneumonia. My heating/air system at home and in the car irritates my eyes. When the air blows in my face it irritates the veins/blood vessel around my eyes, they get puff and swollen that causes the pressure in my eyes to go up. I'm using four different eye drops provided by my doctor. I only have close-up vision in my left eye and I'm worried that I may soon lose site in my right eye.
Avatar n tn Similar problem. Seen by neuro-ophthalmologist. Anesthetic drops and dilation drops applied. Effects worsened as the hours increased after dilation. Disabling blurred vision and photosensitivity for six days, along with dull ache in R eye, feeling of fullness/pressure in R eye, which continues, somewhat abated on day 8. Had revisit today. L eye refraction significantly down. I was advised to use artificial tears. No anomalies other than both cataracts, (which are mild), seen on re-exam.
Avatar n tn The eye was red and now it is gotten a lot better since the eye drops. I was given Cyclopentolate hydochloride to take at night to relax my eye muscle and also tobramycin and dexametjasame ophthalmic suspension. Honestly I'm just looking for hope on whether or not my eye will make a complete recovery. The pain is a lot less severe. Also if my eye is stuck like this, what options are there to try to correct it.
Avatar m tn After returning to the US, I had tests done again which all came negative, including standard broad spectrum STD testing and even mycoplasma (blood test, not swab) yet symptoms still exist. I have gone through two courses of levofloxacin (30 days) and one course of moxifloxacin (10 days) yet it still persists. The moxifloxacin seemed to have more effectiveness. I've seen several similar posts in this community and hope someone can help or share their experience. Many thanks!
Avatar f tn My eyes are watering and itching so bad and super sensitive to light. Is there over the counter eye drops that are safe for pregnant people to use?
Avatar f tn I recommend you to visit your doctor's clinic to get detailed information about how to take acular eye drops & its dosage. A specialist in eye caring will going to suggest you in better way.
Avatar n tn I have been trying different eye drops for my dry eyes and the irritation. I am on prescription antibiotics as well but for inbetween. I have tried systane, thera tears, natural tears and my doc gave me optive which has perservatives and the others don't but tried them now. Does anyone find one brand better then others and is there issues with using the preservative ones? He said it was fine to use 4 times a day.
Avatar m tn I just had eye surgery. Doctor prescribed 3 different eye drop medicines for a week. Can anyone tell me what each are for? A friend told me some were dangerous to my eye? Is this true?
