Avatar f tn I was finally able to find a surgical center to perform my cataract surgery (severe anemia). Began the moxifloxacin drops before surgery, no problems. After surgery, I started the Ketorolac and the prednisolone drops. Surgery was late Wednesday, took drops once, then on Friday morning, I awakened to a rash on both forearms that itch like mad and are on fire.

After I’ve taken the cataract out, I check my incisions like I normally would to make sure the incisions are water-tight. Then I use a 1cc syringe and an AC cannula (27 or 30 gauge) through the paracentseis site, and go right underneath the anterior capsule and inject,” he said. According to Dr.
Avatar f tn included are tobramycin eye ointment, moxifloxacin eye drops, and cephalexin. When I finally saw an opthamologist, he tried doxycycline (100mg BID x 7 wks) and erythomycin (TID for 3 months), which seemed to make the bumps shrink, but not go away completely. Anyhow, my real concern is that ever since I stopped the erythromycin eye ointment, my eye lids have been swollen and stingy...putting in artificial tears alleviates the problem for 2 hrs and it comes back.
Avatar n tn so he put me on Tobramycin ointment, Steroid drops and Moxifloxacin drops. After a week the swelling was down, no more redness in the sclera and my palpebral conj. was less red with the blisters smaller. We got it cultured and it came back Staph. Aureus, nothing significant since it was scant and we all have that flora. So we diminished the doses of the 3 meds and after about another 10 days it looked healed. my palpebral conj. was white there was one blister left barely visible.

Avatar m tn m not interested in them if the price is too high. Until I hear the price, I would like to find out all I can about the lens. I've searched on Google: hard soft lens and most of the articles just tell how they are made. Do you know how successfull theses lens have been? Thanks.

Avatar m tn I got shingles in my right eye in Feb., recently I was prescribed valcyclovir and pred forte drops. I am in the donut hole on my insurance and the cost is prohibitive. Is acyclovir 800 as effective as valcyclovir hcl or as costly?
Avatar m tn After returning to the US, I had tests done again which all came negative, including standard broad spectrum STD testing and even mycoplasma (blood test, not swab) yet symptoms still exist. I have gone through two courses of levofloxacin (30 days) and one course of moxifloxacin (10 days) yet it still persists. The moxifloxacin seemed to have more effectiveness. I've seen several similar posts in this community and hope someone can help or share their experience. Many thanks!

Avatar n tn I have been trying different eye drops for my dry eyes and the irritation. I am on prescription antibiotics as well but for inbetween. I have tried systane, thera tears, natural tears and my doc gave me optive which has perservatives and the others don't but tried them now. Does anyone find one brand better then others and is there issues with using the preservative ones? He said it was fine to use 4 times a day.
Avatar m tn I just had eye surgery. Doctor prescribed 3 different eye drop medicines for a week. Can anyone tell me what each are for? A friend told me some were dangerous to my eye? Is this true?
Avatar m tn I have been using over the counter eye drops (namely, Opcon A) daily for a few years in order to combat my red eyes. With constant use, I have noticed that they do not work nearly as well anymore, and that my eyes are redder than ever. I read into the subject and have learned that with prolonged use, your eye becomes more dependent on the drops and does in fact become redder. Every morning I wake up with eyes that are extremely bloodshot red and uncomfortable.
Avatar m tn Hello doctor thank you for helping me with my question, one more thing [smile] this is really bothering me how come the doctors could not tell that i had eye dialation drops in my eye, why cant a doctor tell the difference between a blown pupil and a dialated pupil on drops thanks so much

Avatar m tn doxycycline, azithromycin and moxifloxacin. The first two failed to clear my infection and now I have two days that I finished the moxifloxacin 400 mg( 10 days treatment) clearing my symptoms. My question is, Is it possible for the bacteria to reoccur after the moxifloxacin treatment? And if yes what other option are there?
Avatar n tn Second, she may have to continue patching or another treatment like atropine drops in order to make her strenthen the weaker eye. She will likely need to wear glasses or contacts for many years but that is a small price in order to have good vision. Remember to keep things in proper perspective. Make sure she is seeing a pediatric ophthalmologist, since these cases require a good amount of expertice and experience to properly manage.
Avatar n tn He says I do not have glaucoma and my optic nerve is perfect. My eye pressure with eye drops once a day remains about 12. I asked him if I could take the field test every two years vand he said once a year is appropriate. What do you think in light of the stability of my eyes and the fact that my optic nerve has not deteriorated?
