avelox

Avatar m tn I have tested negative for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, TB and mycloplasma. Symptoms first occured around 3 weeks after having unprotected sex with a female. Symptoms: Pain/stinging when urinating Itchy / Inflamed tip of penis Creamy white discharge from penis (NOT from under the foreskin but from the 'hole' especially in the mornings) (No swollen lymph nodes, testicles are not swollen or painful) Treatment failures so far (in order) 1. Doxycycline - 7 day course 2.
Avatar m tn If you meant to say that you took Moxifloxacin, and you still have symptoms, it just means that you have multi drug resistance MG. Yes, there are STD’s in this country that are not known about AND MG is the culprit behind many undiagnosable urethritis/prostatitis issues. This is way more common than the doctors even know about. I’m not saying this to scare you, I’m saying this. because it’s the truth.
Avatar m tn doxycycline, azithromycin and moxifloxacin. The first two failed to clear my infection and now I have two days that I finished the moxifloxacin 400 mg( 10 days treatment) clearing my symptoms. My question is, Is it possible for the bacteria to reoccur after the moxifloxacin treatment? And if yes what other option are there?
Avatar n tn A recent study was done to show that Myco was only erradicated by 85% of those on the Azithro regiment described, however Avelox ( Moxifloxacin) killed Myco in all cases. Routine is to try described Azithro regimen first and if symtoms still exist Moxifloxacin. Why? I guess so that Myco doesn't become Moxifloxacin resistant. Save the bugs, kill the patient kind of thing. I say take the 400mg a day X 10 day regiment of Moxifloxacin and help yourself.
Avatar f tn Cure rates with moxifloxacin are 100% According to some info I’ve found, and is used after Doxy and az. So id press to get moxifloxacin. moxifloxacin 400 mg daily for 7 to 14 days is the preferred antibiotic regimen.
Avatar m tn There are millions of people , mostly from other countries, who have come into contact with TB but are not active, and when they get a TB tine test, it can show a false positive and therefore, you need the chest xray to confirm. For some reason a TB vaccine of some kind is given to children in foreign countries and the reaction to the tine test Positive(red and raised) here in the US is really just a reaction to that vaccine.
1822062 tn?1317279766 During appointment today, the breast clinic referred me to a chest doctor to check on the TB. Turns out, as rare as granulomatous mastitis is, breast TB is even more uncommon. The specialists had quite a passionate discussion among them about my case (although one of them actually just Google to find out more about the disease, right in front of me, and read the same case study I already did). They are very uncomfortable about treating me, since they are unfamiliar with it.
Avatar m tn But the doctor mentioned that my white blood cell count is slightly higher than normal ( WBC count taken from the swabs, not from my blood work) and mentioned that there might be an infection so she prescribed Avelox (Moxifloxacin), 4 x 400mg once daily. The background is, I am Chinese male, been with my girlfriend for about a year and both of us have been loyal and we were both asymptomatic before this event.
1253246 tn?1332073310 I need to know if there is anybody that has hep c and also Latent TB?I tested pos for tb antibodys 6 years ago.Like the hep antibody test it doesnt mean that you actually have tb,but 3 in 10 go on to get it.I need to know if anybody has treated for hep knowing that they have the tb germ and does the med for hep actually activate the TB?(Since the med can lower your blood count.)I dont want tp add fuel to the fire.I hear that the med for hep can cause lung infections and thats what tb is.
Avatar m tn November 22 (103 days after contact, 3 after the end of the treatment with Moxifloxacin and 54 after the one with Bassado) - test: Treponema Ab (Chemiluminescence) less than 0.1 and Vdrl less than 1:2 - NEGATIVE; December 15th - test (126 days after contact and 23 days after the end of treatment with Moxifloxacin): pharyngeal PCR / Hcv Ab both NEGATIVE; Around January 14th I noticed a pink patch in the groin area (to which a very small one was added nearby), itchy and also flaking.
Avatar m tn Maybe. I have Hep C and tested positive for TB but didn't have it. I was told that if you are vaccinated against TB, then you will always get a skin reaction. I was vaccinated against it when I was a baby.
Avatar n tn did you take moxifloxacin?
Avatar f tn So, it means she has been exposed at some point and when her immunity goes down she may develop TB in the lung. She could get prophylaxic Isoniazid (INH). I would see if the doctor reccommends the antibiotic or not. Since she has some symptoms she may develop TB but the bacteria that cause TB haven't taken over yet. CRP (C-Reactive protein) is high during inflammation and infection. TB symptoms are extreme fatigue, low grade or higher fever, and cough.
Avatar f tn About two month ago I have been having a a very bad violent cough. The doctor had me an x ray and said my lung is clear. I have no fever and other tb symptoms. He gave me asthma medication since I'm an asthmatic. The cough do subside but doesn't go away completely it still lingering. I think it's pertussis since it has a paroxysmal characteristic. My problem is I have anxiety/panic disorder. I'm so anxious now since I know that anxiety weaken the immune system.
429700 tn?1308007823 This is way before I became sick, and I looked at my chances of developing TB, and turned down treatment because of the side effects and chances of developing an active form of TB and also the fact I had to go into a treatment center and take a medicine daily without missing a dose (I could have developed a form of TB that wouldn't respond to antibiotics). I've had chest x-rays (2 or 3) and even a CAT scan of my lungs and I don't have any evidence of TB in my lungs.
Avatar m tn Be that as it may, with repeated treatments with both doxycycline and azithromycin, you may wish to talk to your doctor about a course of moxifloxacin. Your situation is a difficult one and moxifloxacin has proven to be effective against chlamydia, mycoplasma genitalium and gets into the prostate well. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn Pleurisy is a symptom and not a disease. Yes healed TB can cause pleural retraction and pleuritic pain.
Avatar m tn When I was a child, I got TB, and was treated for it. Now I have latent (unactive) TB in my system. I was wondering if I got HIV, if there would be any risk of the TB becoming reactivated.
Avatar f tn I recently tested positive for Ureaplasma Urealyticum and Mycoplasma Hominis, my symptoms are - Frequent Urination. - Painful bladder that comes and goes - Pain in Groin Area - Tickle in throat that provokes a cough and mostly aggravated with dry Air. i have tried many different Antibiotics (Minocycline, Doxycycline, Zitromax) Anyone familiar with this painful infection ? Avatar f tn I am suffering from bone TB in my right angle and taking treatment. Now my period was late and found that I am pregnant. Doctor told me I can not continue my pregnancy because of the tablets for TB. I need to terminate my pregnancy but i am afraid of the side effects and pain.

445362 tn?1206965718 I don't know where else to put this question and I really would like some answers. I had tested positive for TB around the age of 2 or so. I am now 31. In the mid-90s when applying for work I was given a TB test and had a very bad reaction. At that time I didn't know I had been treated as a child for a year on Isoniazide. My chest x rays had been clear at the time, but I was treated of course anyways. After the re test I got sick from the test itself. I didn't look into in further.
Avatar f tn He had pain with urination and came up positive for mycoplasma genitallium. I have done doxy and azithromycin and still came up positive for mycoplasma genitallium and ureaplasma. my partner and I are finishing up 14 days on Moxi and I am still having cramping. My partner is still having testicular pain. So I’m guessing this didn’t work either. I would assume my symptoms should be cleared up right after the treatment, right? Anyone have success getting any other medications in the USA?
429700 tn?1308007823 t active. The doctor said it was latent TB. It is really weird that I have been exposed to TB and cannot figure out for the life of me how that's happened. No one in my family--including my sister who has similar health problems and an MS diagnosis, too, has a positive TB test. At the time (1989), I was given an option to start medicines to prevent TB. I opted out of being treated for TB because only 1 in 10 people developed the active form of it over their entire lifetime.
Avatar m tn When I came it felt so ******* great I thought my prostatitis went away no it got vicious more than ever to i once again sought medical treatment found out my CBP all these years was mg and now everything is cleared up I am still on the moxifloxacin and rifampin as a precaution since I had it for 16 years and the fact I had a really high bacterial load.
177275 tn?1511755244 The FDA previously warned of adverse events associated with a compounded triamcinolone and moxifloxacin product for intravitreal injection, and of two serious adverse eventsassociated with a compounded curcumin emulsion product for injection that was being used for various conditions. More information about today's announcement is available on the FDA website.
