Avatar m tn Our family went through four deaths in a very short time, one being a 33 year old and his 13 year old son....murder/suicide. Sudden death is devastating however it happens. If it wasn't for grief counseling, things would have been much worse and longer lasting. Please do this for yourself and those around you. Hugs........
11856217 tn?1421620474 In a horrible way---- my father in law had passed away that day and I was upstairs at bed time talking to my kids about his death. I spent extra time with each of my kids letting them get their thoughts and feelings out. I then noticed after a bit that my trusty, faithful dog was not upstairs with us. I found her in the kitchen with a bag over her head. She'd tried to get some beef jerky out of the bottom of a zip lock bag that was in the pantry and got her head stuck and suffocated.
Avatar f tn The vet did a necropsy and said it was microcoagulating clots that caused his death. All his other organs were fine. What does this actually mean?
Avatar m tn My mixed Terrier all of a sudden lost weight had diarrhea for 1 day and was drinking a lot of water. She started acting normal eating more and gained weight. Jumped around did her little dance played outside continued to drink a lot of water. Then 1 day she started to squint her eyes and they looked like she had a cold in them. Took her to the Vet and was told she had allergies. The Vet gave her a shot for allergies and eye medicine. She started looking better that night next day OK.
1364405 tn?1278033590 She was in the back yard and it has been very hot out (We live in Georgia), but she had shade, water, and food.... Our neighbor said she was already bloated, rotting, and bleeding from her mouth.... Does anyone know what could have happened? She was a healthy, pretty Beagle.... We miss her so much.
Avatar n tn My dog Molson suddenly died 2 days ago, she was a very healthy active dog with no prior symptoms of illness, she was running by the truck like she always does not too close and my mom who was driving at approximatley 10km/hr heard a yelp and looked in the back of the truck and the other dogs where fine so she stopped and Molson was lying on the grass a few feet away on her side mom looked at her and said her face and eyes looked funny and she bit her hand but not like a bit more like a reach out
Avatar n tn Tests showed there was no feeling even at the centre of the spinal cord and she was put to sleep. She had never limped and was completely fit before this and hadn't suffered any trauma. I just wonder what could have caused it.
Avatar n tn I send you my deepest sympathy. It is sad and hard to lose a member of your family, as I'm sure he was. He was a good dog I'm certain, and was well loved. I agree with your decision not to do a necropsy. I don't think I would want that done either, under the circumstances. Of course, without one, you would never know as an absolute fact, what he died of. He didn't suffer very long at the end, and that is a blessing I suppose.
Avatar n tn He is the person who should be discussing the cause of death with you. If possible, obtain a copy of the written autopsy report and review it with your vet. With the written report, you can also post the results to our Med Help vets on the Ask a Vet forum for their opinion. I assume you are in a cold part of the country if the vet initially suspected hypothermia? Was she generally an indoor pet and not used to being outside for long periods of time?
Avatar m tn We do know that sudden death does happen in humans and animals, and we are not implying any wrong doing by our vet (?), but this so very hard to understand.
Avatar m tn Because he was so young, I would contact the breeder and let him or her know what happened because many breeders will stand by their puppies and will replace them in the event of an untimely death. If, however, you bought your puppy from a pet store or from a backyard breeder, there is probably nothing that can be done at this point. Pet store puppies and backyard breeder puppies, probably 99.
Avatar f tn My husband died suddenly and unexpected 2/13/05. He was 42 yrs old. His cause of death post mortem "complications of acute right coronary artery thrombosis due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease". His complaint 20-30 mins. before he collapsed were 'burning in the throat and chest discomfort'. He was dead when he hit the floor.
Avatar m tn If you meant to say that you took Moxifloxacin, and you still have symptoms, it just means that you have multi drug resistance MG. Yes, there are STD’s in this country that are not known about AND MG is the culprit behind many undiagnosable urethritis/prostatitis issues. This is way more common than the doctors even know about. I’m not saying this to scare you, I’m saying this. because it’s the truth.
Avatar m tn doxycycline, azithromycin and moxifloxacin. The first two failed to clear my infection and now I have two days that I finished the moxifloxacin 400 mg( 10 days treatment) clearing my symptoms. My question is, Is it possible for the bacteria to reoccur after the moxifloxacin treatment? And if yes what other option are there?
Avatar m tn I can't find the site to post, but i am pretty sure that a large study was done which showed no correlation between those with benign pvc's/pac's and early death. ie. your risk of sudden death is the same as anyone elses (veryy low). 200 in 24 hours is not that many when you consider that your heart beats 100,000 times a day. I get a lot more when I am having a bout of them, eg 3 or 4 a minute for hours on end. I am not sure where early repolarisation fits in.
Avatar n tn A recent study was done to show that Myco was only erradicated by 85% of those on the Azithro regiment described, however Avelox ( Moxifloxacin) killed Myco in all cases. Routine is to try described Azithro regimen first and if symtoms still exist Moxifloxacin. Why? I guess so that Myco doesn't become Moxifloxacin resistant. Save the bugs, kill the patient kind of thing. I say take the 400mg a day X 10 day regiment of Moxifloxacin and help yourself.
Avatar f tn Cure rates with moxifloxacin are 100% According to some info I’ve found, and is used after Doxy and az. So id press to get moxifloxacin. moxifloxacin 400 mg daily for 7 to 14 days is the preferred antibiotic regimen.
Avatar f tn There are so many medications that mention "tachy" as a possible side effect. I'm not sure if the arrhythmia becomes permanent however. Often it clears up once the medication is discontinued/ended. I've taken Cipro a couple of times now and I'm prone to arrhythmias LOL and never noticed any difference while on the med. My albuterol for asthma cranks up my heart rate but only for 10 minutes or so.
Avatar m tn But the doctor mentioned that my white blood cell count is slightly higher than normal ( WBC count taken from the swabs, not from my blood work) and mentioned that there might be an infection so she prescribed Avelox (Moxifloxacin), 4 x 400mg once daily. The background is, I am Chinese male, been with my girlfriend for about a year and both of us have been loyal and we were both asymptomatic before this event.
Avatar n tn There needs to be an underlying issue that may have been induced by stress, but if it were related to their heart it would most likely be the result of either a heart attack or an issue with the electrical system that makes the heart beat. Normally if the later is true there is sudden cardiac death. This happens when the heart goes into a rhythm which prevent sufficient blood flow to keep the vital organs alive.
Avatar n tn It was discovered during my checkup that my rejection fraction was 20 percent and they put a defibrillator in. I have been told that sudden death can occur during physical activity, then I was told it could happen during rest. I am a 54 year old male with two major heart attacks, I was told one thing by my cardiologist and another by the doctor that put in the device. thank you for your help.
Avatar f tn I'm wondering about the sudden death of my 9mo old Belgian Shepperd dog. I discover it early in the morning she was gone. The day before she died she was ok, playful. no sign at all that she's not ok. i don't know, im sad and very depressed of what happened. I cannot imagine that she was gone. Please give me advice or explanation of what happen. thank you.
9310208 tn?1410859285 I have a sudden death syndrome and I am 2 months pregnant. Just wanting to know how other moms pregnancy went.
Avatar m tn November 22 (103 days after contact, 3 after the end of the treatment with Moxifloxacin and 54 after the one with Bassado) - test: Treponema Ab (Chemiluminescence) less than 0.1 and Vdrl less than 1:2 - NEGATIVE; December 15th - test (126 days after contact and 23 days after the end of treatment with Moxifloxacin): pharyngeal PCR / Hcv Ab both NEGATIVE; Around January 14th I noticed a pink patch in the groin area (to which a very small one was added nearby), itchy and also flaking.
Avatar n tn did you take moxifloxacin?
2056612 tn?1330697184 While mitral valve prolapse has been assoicated with an increased risk of sudden death, this area is controversial and the risk may be more related to the degree of mitral regurgitation rather than MVP as such. Cardiomyopathies are certainly associated with an increased risk of sudden cardiac death. The data on drugs like Cialis is generally reassuring with regard to the risk of sudden death, although this is drawn from studies of men with coronary heart disease.
