Mycobacterium avium is more from a wound you would get not from a splash . and it is extremely rare, and usually not from the U.K They only treat the wound not oral antibiotics etc. Salmonella, you would have high fever and diarrhea.

Just got a culture back from a while ago, positive for mycobacterium avium complex. Just pulmonary involvement, they started me on clarithromycin, rifampin, and ethambutol.
For less dramatic improvements, there are maybe approaches using diet and reasonable exercise, avoiding sugar and alcohol, etc. Even garlic and onions might stimulate the activity of the reduced number of cells that do exist.

Ok, I'm a healthy white female who had regular unprotected sex with the same person (who reassured me over and over he is negative) since last october. The last time was on February 3rd. On february 16th I had fatigue, coughing, runny nose, and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. I was given antibiotics for it and I thought it went away. If you meant to say that you took Moxifloxacin, and you still have symptoms, it just means that you have multi drug resistance MG. Yes, there are STD’s in this country that are not known about AND MG is the culprit behind many undiagnosable urethritis/prostatitis issues.

But the doctor mentioned that my white blood cell count is slightly higher than normal ( WBC count taken from the swabs, not from my blood work) and mentioned that there might be an infection so she prescribed Avelox (Moxifloxacin), 4 x 400mg once daily.
