m afraid I agree with the Doctors on this. MRSA is a bacteria which lives mainly on the skin and in the nose in around 30% of the UK population alone. It is normally harmless because it can't get through the skin unless you cut yourself and even then your immune system would have to be weak to not fight it off. So, out of hospital, people are less likely to be affected than those patients in hospital with open wounds and weakened immune systems. MRSA would make them very ill indeed.

There is no direct correlation between MRSA and MS. MRSA has been found in people who have weak immune system like diabetics, elderly, asthmatics, and patients in health care facilities for prolonged duration. Since you are on steroid therapy which suppresses the immune system the possibility of MRSA cannot be ruled out in your case. A clinical evaluation is warranted.
