Avatar f tn When I started I was on 125mcg Fentynal patches every 72 hours and Morphine Sulphate 30mg 1x per day. 30mg was too much for me at once so I bite it in half and take it every 12 hours unless I don't need it. I also began seeing a gentle spine care chiropractor during all this and it has changed my life! I was shocked that a "doctor" would just throw medications like Fentynal at me for years without offering me ALL possible options for recovery!
Avatar n tn He received 10 mg morphine in the ambulance, then 6 mg dilaudid, 4 mg zofran, and 1 mg ativan in about an hour. He weighs 190 lbs and is 6 feet tall. He suffered cardiopulmonary arrest. Avatar n tn I don't know abt. the patch, it seems like it would prolong the withdrawl. Possibly delay the inevitable but give some relief. Are you withdrawling voluntarily or till your next prescription ? Usually by day 5 a person starts to feel better and alot of the really bad stuff is over. I really do think the fentanly is a bad idea but I know how being addicted goes, we just want it to go away. I hope the best for you and I wish I knew more abt. your situation to give a good opinion.

Avatar n tn Hi, The golden rule is unless recommended by a doctor, do not take supplements, get the necessary nutrients directly from food only. Supplementation can very often overdose your body with vitamins and minerals, which can adversely affect. In your case, stop if possible, the supplements for few days and see if the symptoms go away, if so, do not take them, orelse, talk to your doctor about the symptoms.

1801781 tn?1461629469 NM leads in drug overdose deaths and not substance abuse. They (the CDC) estimated 4 per100K people die every year from prescription drug overdose and I'm sure that's accurate...it would be about 80 people a year and that doesn't include alcohol and illegal drugs, of course.
Avatar f tn He is now taking 60 morphine(30mg pills) and 90 vicodin(500mg pills) on a monthly basis. Sometimes he runs out and can't even make it 30 days. His doctor (VA clinic) continues to prescribe both along with sleeping pills and anti-depressants. If you ask me - it's overkill for sure! He is angry all the time and has frequent outbursts of physical anger. He is absolutely miserable to be around.
