Avatar f tn It IS possible to have Morphine NOT show up in the tests that the Doctor is using.1.) Some tests are not sensitive enough if you have a small amount in your blood stream. 2.) Some Medications will cancel out the Morphine in your system. 3.) your just not taking your Meds. Of course I don't know what it might be in your case. Are you taking anything else besides the Diazapam or the Pot? I have an article posted in my journals about certian medications canceling out the Morphine.

Avatar m tn Generally urine infection is caught on urine examination, which however is negative in your case on two different counts. Hence you must look at other causes of pain in testes like epididymitis (which is pain in one of the tubes attached to the testis), torsion of testis, infection in testis (orchitis) etc. Please refer to this link for all possible causes of pain in testicular area: http://www.emedicinehealth.com/testicular_pain/page2_em.
Avatar f tn I have a h/o urine retention w/hypotonic bladder, neurogenic bladder, and had an interstim implant in March. F/up appt in June (3mos) went well, no problems, despite his comment that "if its not broken, don't fix it" with regard to keeping me on Flomax. Yet, a mere 2.5 mos later, he sent me to ER with urine retention and I was Foley'd for a week (til I saw him). When inserting Foley, nurse commented that there was "resistance" and I was swollen.
Avatar n tn The most common cause of oily urine is ketones in urine. These appear in individuals with uncontrolled diabetes and also during periods of starvation or a stringent dietary regimen. The other possibility is of Chyle that is produced by your lymph nodes is the reason for the urine's oily residue. This is more noticeable if you left the urine stand for a period of time. Urine analysis may be done to help with the diagnosis. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn You have A large amount of blood in your urine which suggest that you may have inflammation or infection somewhere. Your red and white blood count are in normal ranges. The color of your urine is yellow/straw (normal) and the clarity is good. Everything else is in normal ranges as well. Talk to your doc to about the blood in urine if they have not already contacted you.
Avatar n tn If I was infected with Chlamydia bacteria, would there have been abnormalities/growth/high WBC in a routine urine culture/analysis? I understand that specific STIs are not tested for in a urinalysis - just wondering if something would have shown up. Thanks.
Avatar f tn asked if I had any symptoms of a UTI which I have not. He told me that there were nitrates showing up in my urine but no other sign of infection and sent me to the hospital to get another urinalysis. No one has called me with any results yet. What could be causing nitrates in my urine aside from a UTI???
Avatar f tn Recent urinalysis shows POCT U BLD at 50. Is this anything to be concerned about ?
Avatar f tn I got my urinalysis test results back. Everything looked normal except Appearance-cloudy, Squamous epithlial Cells - 6-10 (marked as H), WBC 10-20 (marked as H), and Bacteria-Moderate (26-50) marked also H. My doctor never called me, even though she had received my test results. Should I follow up with another doctor? How bad are these numbers?

Avatar m tn t the same as your absorption problem with morphine So it sounds like you are moving in the right direction. Avatar n tn no, hydrocodone is vicodin. Morphine sulfate is the active ingredient in morphine. If you are worried about a possible reaction to the medication, I would speak to your local pharmacists. I'm not sure if hydrocodone and morphine are in the same family of drugs. I know vicodin and percocet are in a similar family (due to codine), but morphine is much different. refer to this website. http://www.rxlist.com/duramorph-drug.
Avatar m tn However, ascorbic acid at higher concentration in urine samples can lead to false negative results in a number of urine tests and it is recommended that you have urinalysis done in a complete detail such as in a laboratory. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn It metabolizes in a complex way into morphine and many other substances. You might ask your PM about that? Could you stop the Tylenol 3 for a month and see if this affects your urinalysis?
Avatar n tn Hi, You must have microscopic hematuria if you do not observe the blood grossly in the urine.Microscopic hematuria refers to presence of rbc's in the urine detected through microscopic examination. This may be benign in origin. Engaging in heavy exercises prior to giving your urine sample may cause hematuria. History of intake of certain medications my also cause benign hematuria. Your previous history of repeated infections may alo contribute to the hematuria.
Avatar m tn I have not had any sex since my first diagnosis, and a second urinalysis came back negative for infection, ghonnorea and chlamydia. The slight burning in the tip when I pee in the morning is still there. The doc recommends a referral to a urologist, but unfortunately I had to leave town for an extended business trip and would not be able to take care of that until I get back. Is this morning burning normal and something that I had just not noticed until I got chlamydia?
432376 tn?1266257738 I am wondering if taking extra strength tylenol 2 x 2-8 a day could contribute to blood being found in urine? Have had cytology tests done to rule out cancer. Have high blood pressure (on medication), pre-diabetes diagnosis in Nov. 07-controlled with diet/exercise-#'s in normal range.Have had an ultrasound done on kidneys, bladder, galbladder, etc. Waiting for an abdominal/pelvic ct scan.
Avatar n tn (I was given a course of cipro without my Naturopathic Doc doing a urinalysis because I was going out of town the day after my symptoms began). I took the cipro (it was a short dose- 3 days, taken 2 times per day), and started to feel better. Then about a week later symptoms came back, tried to treat it naturally and then decided to try the cipro again. After this something still didn't feel right and I suggested a kidney infection as I had started having some back pain.
