I took klonopin with methadone, vicoden, ultram and even opana (a new extended release morphine) it didn't hurt me and I recommend to try a little at a time. We call them blues, which is the color of the larger dose and it takes away the anxiety of the pain. I liken it to a glass of wine and a hot jacuzzi - a nice way to take the edge off and finally sleep.
Thanks all for the indepth info about klonopin. Its really got me thinking about when and how to taper. Imma gonna start slowly, following itsadogslife and everyone elses posts. If it gets too tough, i'll taper even slower...but i will taper darn it...even if it does take a whole year! Yesterday, i didn't take a dose till the evening. During the day, took the boys iceskating. I'm usually real layed back when i take these meds, but yesterday, caught myself losing patience for every tiny thing.
I think Shelli pretty much summed it all up in her answer and better I think, than I could have. lol I also take klonopin and have muscle relaxers and I took them both. That helped tremendously with the restlessness, (mine was my whole body, not just my legs). I have a small child so bed wasn't an option for me but that is exactly where I would have been if I could have.
Valium (or another benzodiazepine such as klonopin, Librium, Ativan or Xanax). Of these, Valium and klonopin are best suited for tapering since they come in tablet form. Librium is also an excellent detox benzo, but comes in capsules, making it hard to taper the dose. Ativan or Xanax should only be used if you can't get one of the others. 2. Imodium (over the counter, any drug or grocery store). 3. L-Tyrosine (500 mg caps) from the health food store. 4.
Just wondering, what are the effects of Suboxone, Seroquel and klonopin? He is on 12 mg of suboxone daily, and is prescribed 2 mg of klonopin but he is abusing that already and taking about 20 mg of the klonopin. I am not overly worried, just because he was taking about 350 mg of valium a day before going on the sub a month ago, but of course there is some concern. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I am 26 and take 0.5 klonopin every night for sleep. I was taking 3 a day and managed to get down to 1. I have been trying to stop this medicine for over 9 months but have found it very hard I have gotten myself down to 1 every night but after a few weeks it's the same withdrawns can't sleep pounding heart shaking & nervousness-panic attacks. I have tried to stop cold turkey that is impossiable. I found out that I was 5 weeks pregnant and recently had a miscarriage.
well 23 days of pure hell went by and i was introduced to suboxone from my old boyfriend who knew i was in trouble. That day he gave me one 8mg pill, and a 1mg. klonopin and i actually got out of bed and all the hell was over. I have a doctor know who prescribes me 2 of the 8's a day, along with 2mgs. of klonopin a day. Believe me, i have my days where i want to be back on methadone, because like most, it became my choice drug, but it is a love/hate relationship.
I have been taking morphine abg 100 mgs twice a day for 2 years nows and im prescribed klonopin 2 mg 3x daily to = 6 mgs a day. it helps when i dont take all the morphine my body is used to, an i really hope it helps next week when i quit. i have some hydro 7.5s i have 6 of them to help with withdrawls, will they help?
OK, thats pretty much what I had thought, now I just need to motivate myself to actually stop. Always some excuse of course. Is there a corelation between oxycodone/oxycontin and morphine? IOW is 10 mg oxycodone/oxycontin the "same" as 10 mg morphine? I ask because I wonder if I can replace the morphine with oxyetcetera. I can only get the morphine in 100 mg doses and as you said, theyre not really meant to be broken in half and Id need to break them in fifths or something.
I have been of fof the computer since the acident (April) but now that I have become more mobile I plan to be in here often as I am serious about getting off of all drugs. I got off the Alcohol, Xanax, morphine and Oxy and hydros...but they were all replaced by another...two remaining. klonopin and Demerol.....Even on the doses I take now, I shake most of the day, have memory probs and insomnia....probably withdrawl from one of the others Whew! This ain't for sissies!
I'm in a debate with someone and just trying to prove I'm ALWAYS right. jk. I actually read ten websites and every one of them said klonopin is stronger, most said ten times. They said the easier one to wean off of is Valium due to half-life but which is more powerful??? Me personally, I believe klonopin is as I feel it with only one pill but Valim, nada. So, tell me I'm right Mr. Avasig.
I am currently taking 1 MG of klonopin every four hours and have cut down from 12 MG over a month period without much trouble. 1 MG is a very small dose and you should be able to taper that in less than one week. You may want to see a psychiatrist about some of those problems you mentioned or even a Neurologist. So far no hair loss on my end, but I do get up-tight when my dose is over an hour or two past due.
-15mg of Roxycodone....as needed, eventually bumped up to 30mg -60mg of time released morphine OH and the mother wonder drug SUBOXONE ^^^ No worries the other Doc told me. I saw things getting out of hand, I just couldn't stop with the Opiates.......Wait a minute if I would have done a little research I would have found out I'm just replacing one drug for another. I really believe that "most" doctors now of days are just Pharmacist. What happens when you go in.
if you are to far addicted to tolerate a benzo withdrawal process another drug and method used here in aistralia to de tox heroin and morphine users is a thing called naltrexone.
To keep me there they said I needed to come off my klonopin for anxiety ambien and baclofen. My Doctor said he would NEVER write me a script for klonopin again. Today he did. I have to have my husband keep the bottle and only give me a weeks worth at a time. I know how vile and bad the withdrawal is so I can deal with that part. Also, no drinks, not even one, with it. That's what had got me into trouble. I have a lot of provong ang trust to rebuild and I have a chance to do it now.
Klonapin (benzodiazepine) (affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause anxiety. klonopin is used to treat seizure disorders or panic disorder) - I have a prescription for 2mg klonapins I'll take as needed, I can take up to 4 a day. 3. Vitamin B shots - That plus a few other vitamins will give me the nutrients I need. I got some Nyquil, ibuprofen & other multi vitamins, And have been smoking a little bit of weed to help, as its immediate.
tablets ER/day with almost equal amounts of IR and have gotten off the er completely, and now am down to 1.5 30mg tablet in the morning, 1.5-2 in the afternoon, and only one 30 mg. at night. I am confused at how to taper from this point to make the withdrawal symptoms as bearable as possible. Can anyone help me develop a tapering plan?
Thank you for your comment, I do have vitamin B liquid I've been using and clonodine, and it's just getting worse by the day not better, its my 8th day, and I'm still feeling the 30mg morphine I did end up taking and slept like a baby.
I had several friends who were pharmacists, and pharm. techs. I started shooting up morphine when I could get it, taking norco, taking morphine tablets, etc. in September of 2009 I found a guy who was selling Vicodin 5/500 tablets for $4 a pill. I was spending every dime I had to buy them. On top of that I was getting 60 a month from two Doctors. By November I was taking 15 a day, and eventually in February I was up to 30-40 a day. I had to take 15 just to get out of bed in the morning.
I am also on morphine, which is stronger than percocet, and I take both the klonopin and morphine together or around the same time frame all the time. I also take 200mg mg Seroquel with the klonopin at night and have no problems. So, you are probably okay, but if you are worried just ask your pharmacist. You can call the pharmacist where you got your medications from and they will advise you as well. Good luck!
i just wanted a cholesteral and glucose test and general physical and refill for klonopin, not a freaking inquisition and drug test! I know I have to fix the perc problem myself, a GF who is a nurse told me that's best so I don't get in the "system". I checked out re-hab possibilities and they seem like more trouble than I'm already in, AND won't treat panic attacks while I'm there! That will never work. And again, the "system".
This class of drugs includes heroin, morphine, codeine, methadone and oxycodone (Oxycontin).

not quite sure tho he opium poppy, Papaver somniferum, is the type of poppy from which opium and all refined opiates such as morphine, thebaine, codeine, papaverine, and noscapine are extracted. All opiates including heroin are derived from this, although the process is different resulting in different purities and characteristics. if you are scared of getting hooked on vicodin, you don't have to be if you watch yourself. keep your Dr. informed in how much you are taking and need.
I have tried all kinds of paon meds and now I have a morphine pump inplanted in my side giving me 500mcg of morphine,I still have pain and fatigue and the dr. prescribed 150mcg of fentayln patches. Still feel the same. To my suprise about one month ago I started to get stabbing pains down my left thigh and up my left arm, Now the numbness is on the right leg,It is very weak and I constantly have to punch the leg, the dr.
For the last 5 years I have been depending on at least 200mg of Oxys or morphine (Ms-cotin) per day. I have tried at least 20 times to quit but the physical and mental withdrawal is the most excruciating feeling I have ever experienced. Why would you allow youself to suffer horribly for 10-21 days when you can just go out and buy a little pill to make it better? I found out recently that it doesnt have to be as painful as most treatment/detox centers make it.
I could not tolerate the side effects of these drugs. My last attack I tried klonopin 0.5 mg (1/2 in the morning and 1/2 bedtime) This drug did the trick for me. No side effects and pain disappeared after 2 weeks. I continue to take the klonopin for another 2 months than weaned my self slowly (2 weeks) of klonopin to avoid withdraw symptoms. Thank God, I'm pain free and drug free for over 2 months now.
I've read a lot of posts saying how good ultram is, but I feel like I'm taking a sugar pill after being on morphine(Avinza) and oxycodone, klonopin and flezerill for 5 years. I don't have any of those med.'s anymore. Detox took all away, I only went in to get off pain meds.'s too. They wouldn't keep me there unless and until I unwantedly agreed to give it all up.
A few years ago a company ran trials of 'morphidex', morphine and dextromethorphan. It didn't work, and is no longer around. I imagine that eventually there will be a solution to tolerance-- and it might cause the end of the world, for all I know! All of a sudden people will be taking heroin and other narcotics, without any withdrawal... without need to increase the dose... who among us opiate addicts will be able to say 'no' to that?
10mg 6 times a day and Soma 4 times a day...I was on Fentanyl and morphine also but quit those cold Turkey Saturday...I have Severe Panic Attacks at night..Paralyzing..that turns into Severe Depression during the day...Is this normal for withdrawal?...I don't mind the physical aspects...it's the Anxiety and Depression that are terrifying me. Even though I've been prescribed these pain pills for a fractured back...I just don't want to be on them.
