Avatar f tn //www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html#female Also are you seeing a RE or plain GYN? 3 years is a long time! What kind of tests have they been doing, or have done? One thing you need to do is start charting your basal body temperature. Look up fertility friend and it has great info and a course you take for free. THey send you each course by email. You can learn alot about your problems and body by doing this yourself. THen also take OPK tests.
Avatar f tn the mood graph has a graph at the top that is called today. It shows a graph covering months and years. Now it doesn't seem to be working. It was a very useful tool for looking for monthly or seasonal trends. what happened?
Avatar f tn Along with that, have you had your iron levels, estrogen levels, progesterone levels and vitamin D levels tested? Or did the doctor just run a standard panel?
Avatar n tn They state, “It is clear that serum thyroid hormone and thyroid stimulating hormone concentrations cannot be used with any degree of confidence to classify patients as receiving satisfactory, insufficient, or excessive amounts of thyroxine replacement…The poor diagnostic sensitivity and high false positive rates associated with such measurements render them virtually useless in clinical practice…Further adjustments to the dose should be made according to the patient’s clinical response.
1352402 tn?1295562455 With the various Trackers, I would like to adjust the length of the graph displayed at the top. At present, it appears as if the only option is a one month duration. I can see that you can move this along by date, but I would like to flip between annual, monthly, and weekly graphs. Thanks.
889592 tn?1262092244 The pharmaceutical companies have studied testosterone levels during treatment but not female hormone levels (figures, doesn't it). I was post menopausal but had uterine fibroids, a condition that is made much worse by high estrogen levels. The fibroids shrunk dramatically a few mos. into treatment and hopefully will never come back. Also lost most of my body hair, which I think may also be related to a hormonal imbalance caused by treatment.
216278 tn?1308861082 I have posted a picture of the graph of my hormone levels when they did the full panel and I put the numbers in a journal to correspond with it! I know that the acupuncturist and OB thought my levels were low, but now I am worried that if I raise the estrogen too much, if it will prevent a pregnancy! Any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated!

Avatar n tn Menopause is defined as going more than one year without a period, it is not defined by hormone levels. At 39, it is unlikely that you would be postmenopausal anyway--average age is 51. Also, unless you want a baby, I would use some sort of protection. Just today, I heard a story similar to yours--she went off pills thinking she was "OK" and got pregnant. It is unlikely that you will get pregnant.

1936698 tn?1333915193 I'm confused. My doctor has never told me anything about hormone levels and looking out for them or anything. My friend just had a miscarriage last night at 11 weeks, and I feel terrible for her and I just want to cry because she was so excited. Her hormone level went from 73000 to 1200. How do you tell if your hormones dropped and what is so important about them during pregnancy? I'm 31 weeks along and I am so confused about all of it.
Avatar f tn Hormone levels as in HCG? I'd say no, that's not possible, there is a specific type of blood test (I believe) that you can get done to tell gender, but I don't think insurance covers it, so you'd have had to pay it out of pocket, did you have any issues that would require a specific blood test, or did you request one?

Your doctors may check your Vitamin D levels to ensure your PTH level is not high for this reason, but Vitamin D deficiency will never cause your calcium level to be high as well. Many patients have Vitamin D deficiency. It is quite common in our region of the country.

Avatar n tn I test at the same times throughout the day like a machine and graph the results using my smart phone. I also eat like a machine as well consuming the same old stuff every day of the week. I don't mind. It works for me. But this borderline OCD gives me reliable data to base other observations on. I have noticed that if I'm ill, or if I pull my back which I occasionally do, my tests will rise a bit for a few days before settling back.
