Avatar f tn On final thing, can topical steroids like mometasone furoate or betamethasone valerate affect a hiv test at all? I know they are a immunosuppressants but not sure if can be absorbed well into the bloodstream to cause affect.
Avatar m tn The dermotologist gives me a shot of something (i have no clue, but am guessing some kind of steroid) and that seems to take away the inflammation and burning. He also gives me betamethasone valerate foam. His diagnosis is a bacterial infection, but i'm at a loss. My wife has gone to her doc and been checked and nothing was found. Something also i need to mention that i have noticed is a cottage cheese type discharge from my wife after sex.
Avatar m tn I used mometasone furoate (a topical steroid cream) last night (for the first and ONLY time) on the base of my penis due to a minor skin allergy. Additionally, my wife and I are currently trying to conceive. When my dermatologist gave me the prescription for the mometasone furoate she knew I was trying to conceive and said it was OK to use.
Avatar m tn Used mebhydrolin, cetrizine, fexofenadine, for prophylexis, got result but no complete recovery. Taking mometasone masal spray, got result, but not complete respite. How to get rid of it?
Avatar n tn I had posted here before about a different condition, but I noticed something the other day that concerned me a little. I noticed that there was some redness on my scrotum and a slight burning sensation. I had been in a thermal pool the day earlier, so I thought it might be something like contact dermatitis. I went to the doctor he prescribed mometasone furoate cream. I haven't noticed any burning sensation as I had earlier this week but the redness has remained.
Avatar m tn But my doctor prescribed me to apply mometasone furoate and fusidic acid cream twice a day for 3 days and no moisturizer with a Cafadroxil Tablet. I am bit worried about the dryness and healing part. Over all my skin type is oily. But till now what I have heard after a laser resurfacing moisturizer is must. Please help and let me knw that is use of mometasone furoate and fusidic acid cream is good fpr post laser resurfacing treatment without moisturizer??????
Avatar m tn I then went to a dematologist and he suggested that clobetasol is too strong and prescribed mometasone. After more than two months, the mometasone has not made any difference. Can someone Id it from the picture and suggest alternate methods to treat it?
Avatar m tn can I use the betamethasone valerate cream for red patches on the penis? This discussion is related to Can rash on scrotum be sexually transmitted?.
Avatar n tn I had some dry skin patches problem for same I was taking the treatment. My Dr prescribed me to use Mometasone Furoate cream for dry patches on my skin. But while travelling in a flight I felt my whole face was drying up severly so I applied it on my face around 5-6 time (after applying my moisturizer first ) on same day. Beside that I ate very-very spice food on that day. It was so much spicy that it brought blood in my nasals.
Avatar m tn t work, then a Betamethasone injection in both heels, it worked very well , and now (2 weeks post injection) I started to feel a very faint pain at the morning (I walk everyday 4 km with very comfortable shoes during those 2 weeks) Is Betamethasone considered as a short term relief? do I have a long term solution?
Avatar n tn The urologist prescribed Betamethasone Dipropionate cream (augmented) to apply twice a day to the area for 6 weeks. I am worried that I have put too much on. It is now the 5th week and not only is the skin at the attached area thinning but also the surrounding penis skin. Is this a normal part of the process for helping the circumcision detach? Will the skin eventually rethicken once the circumcision detached and we stop using the cream?
Avatar n tn Should I use Betamethasone diproionate while stretching my penis for phimosis ? I have read that .05% w/w Betamethasone helps in doing it better. Is it ok to do this without consulting a doctor. I went to a doctor and he seemed like a big rip off, he just said theres only one way to cure and thats circumcision. I consulted a friend who also had a tight foreskin, and he told me that by washing it and stretching it for 6 months, he was able to cure.
Avatar f tn The treatments of this condition are application of topical corticosteroids (betamethasone, clobatesol, flucinolone) which will reduce the inflammatory process. Topical immunomodulators like pimecrolimus and tacrolimus can be used in severe conditions. I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar m tn Diagnosis, especially in dermatology, cannot be made without at least seeing the lesion (not to mention biopsying it). Personally, I think that if the Betamethasone hasn't worked that you could be dealing with an infection, not necessarily an STD but probably so, given your past exposure. The solution is to ask for a professional opinion at a real clinic, not the internet.
Avatar n tn i was using mometasone furoate cream since 3 years and now i have stopped using it and so now my skin has dried so what should i do to recover my skin?
6191629 tn?1379509587 Therapeutic choices for pulse therapy may include non fluorinated class 111 steroids such as mometasone furoate or an extra potent class 1 and 11 topical steroid such as clobetasol propionate or fluocinonide. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar m tn t come across anything that would relate the two although I have heard of 0.05% betamethasone. Do you think I should get a second opinion from another doctor or try this cream? Any help would be much appreciated, especially if you've heard of Hydroval 0.2% being used to treat phimosis. Thank you.
Avatar m tn What effect will combining clotrimazole with betamethasone, a glucocorticoid steroid, have? Should I instead just use OTC hydrocortisone? Do these glucocorticoid steroids actually do anything to get rid of the rash, or do they just temporarily relieve itching/redness? Should I see a dermatologist about this? Thanks, Tom.
Avatar m tn He prescribed first NYSTATIN AND TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE which i used for 2 weeks without any result, then he prescribed MOMETASONE FUROATE 0.1% which made the situation worse. i then decided to visit a dermatologist which he prescribed HYDROCORTISONE CREAM 2.5% twice a day for a month. 1 month has passed by but i don’t see any improvement at all. I have been single for over a year and masturbate 1-2 a week. Could it be an internal infection instead of external?
Avatar m tn Since a few months, I have started getting boils all over the body. I have been already applying Mometasone Cream...but not having any effect. The boils are very itchy, infact my entire body is itchy. I take anti-allergic tablets to reduce itch but do not want to make it a habit. So, I do not take those tablets every day. My skin is extremely dry so I even massage with olive oil every day. The boils are filled with blood...no pus. Sometimes they dry up but flares up again quickly.
Avatar n tn A dermatologist would probably use mometasone creme for a very short duration (five days) but needs to be prescribed, especially since the child is very young.Calamine is a home remedy for application but to the non-hairy zone. Do consult your doc.
Avatar m tn So i stopped using wet wipes completely. My family doctor agreed with my theory and prescribed mometasone steroid cream to help speed up the healing process. after about two months of no wipes and mometasone, my problem was gone. Now if i even touch a baby wipe or adult wipe with my hand, i get a poison ivy-like rash, which is strange because i used both for years with no issues. Apparently, you can develop an allergy to anything at any time.
5675247 tn?1372384225 Hello, Melacare is a bleaching agent containing hydroquinone, tretinoin, and mometasone (topical steroid). Both hydroquinone and mometasone have serious side effects. You should consult a dermatologist and then stop the cream. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.
