Avatar n tn I had some dry skin patches problem for same I was taking the treatment. My Dr prescribed me to use Mometasone Furoate cream for dry patches on my skin. But while travelling in a flight I felt my whole face was drying up severly so I applied it on my face around 5-6 time (after applying my moisturizer first ) on same day. Beside that I ate very-very spice food on that day. It was so much spicy that it brought blood in my nasals.
Avatar n tn It checked out by doctor recently and advised HH DERM cream (Mometasone furoate +Fusidic Acid + Clotrimazole ), told not an STD. I used about a tube and half of this cream rather quickly about 3-4 days on my bakc, chest, arms, groin area. After the rash appeared to have gone away, it would come back after i would work out and sweat. After the rash continued to appear i went to my dermatologist where they took two biopsies of skin from my back.

Avatar m tn m getting them again on, I was told it was due to too much friction from sex, but they actually appeared from over masturbating and probably gets irritated just the same, but this time I got them from getting oral sex for an extended period of time, but in any case, I was given this topical cream to put on which made the bumps go away and the skin of the gland back to normal, but I don't remember if I'm supposed to keep the foreskin off the gland while I have the cream on or can the fore

You should consult a dermatologist and then stop the cream. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.

I noticed that there was some redness on my scrotum and a slight burning sensation. I had been in a thermal pool the day earlier, so I thought it might be something like contact dermatitis. I went to the doctor he prescribed mometasone furoate cream. I haven't noticed any burning sensation as I had earlier this week but the redness has remained.

Avatar m tn I then went to a dematologist and he suggested that clobetasol is too strong and prescribed mometasone. After more than two months, the mometasone has not made any difference. Can someone Id it from the picture and suggest alternate methods to treat it?
Avatar m tn - Mometasone furoate (topically) - Tacrolimus (topically) - Fexofenadine (pills) - Cefpodoxime (pills) - Thymomodulin (pills) When I first had it the treatment worked pretty well. However, it never really goes away and keeps on persisting until today. During that time I went back to the doctors several times for a recheck, but they just gave me pretty much the same thing and always said: "This time it will heal completely".
Avatar m tn Hey Dr. Hook. I went through the archives about this issue but couldn't get a clear cut answer so here we go. I'm currently treating a case of penile lichen planus with mometasone furoate (Elocom) and lamisil combo. 10 days in its started to work. Got drunk last night and went to a massage parlor and received very brief oral sex to the point I was still semi flacid. Regardless, anxiety came over me and I started dwelling about HPV and STD's.
Avatar f tn I must inform you about the fact that I have been regularly using Melacare for the past 3 years and I read from few articles on the net that , prolonged application of mometasone creams can lead to skin atrophy since memetasone is a steroid. Now my question what can I apply to reverse this skin atrophy condition or will this actually self-heal the natural way ? would be very grateful to you if you would let me know at the earliest possible time. Thank you.
Avatar n tn i was using mometasone furoate cream since 3 years and now i have stopped using it and so now my skin has dried so what should i do to recover my skin?
Avatar m tn Hello, From your symptoms and picture, it looks like seborrheic dermatitis only. The other possibility is of atopic dermatitis. Topical antifungals and mild steroids are the usual treatment and combination of the two can be used to treat stubborn patches. Oral antifungal drugs and immunomodulators such as tacrolimus and pimecrolimus are used in very severe cases. You can also treat flaking and dryness with over-the-counter dandruff or medicated shampoos.
Avatar m tn He prescribed first NYSTATIN AND TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE which i used for 2 weeks without any result, then he prescribed MOMETASONE FUROATE 0.1% which made the situation worse. i then decided to visit a dermatologist which he prescribed HYDROCORTISONE CREAM 2.5% twice a day for a month. 1 month has passed by but i don’t see any improvement at all. I have been single for over a year and masturbate 1-2 a week. Could it be an internal infection instead of external?
Avatar m tn Since a few months, I have started getting boils all over the body. I have been already applying Mometasone Cream...but not having any effect. The boils are very itchy, infact my entire body is itchy. I take anti-allergic tablets to reduce itch but do not want to make it a habit. So, I do not take those tablets every day. My skin is extremely dry so I even massage with olive oil every day. The boils are filled with blood...no pus. Sometimes they dry up but flares up again quickly.
Avatar n tn Now his doctor has him on topical accutane and another topical application. He is having severe flare ups and when he applies the accutane it burns. He's fed up with this. Any thoughts? i will call his doctor, of course, but am wondering if you have any ideas.
Avatar m tn I applied once or twice a day. It is a topical steroid. It helped. After two weeks i returned to Dr and since it was still slightly there i was given a prescription for Ketoconazole (oral). I only took 4 pills (1 a day) total and fungal infection was gone. Two days latter i tested negative for HIV using a rapid finger stick antibody test. This was three months post exposure(fingering with nick and unprotected receipt of oral). My new girlfriend also tested negative.
