Avatar n tn I went to the doctor to have him have a look at it and he suspect it to be psoriasis. He did a skin biopsy on my leg, and I am currently still waiting for results. In the meantime, he gave a Elcom (Mometasone Furoate 0.1%) Cream to put arms and legs, once daily. I have been using this cream for about a month now. I noticed that some of the spots on my arms are getting better, but as for my legs, there is little improvement.

Avatar m tn Hello, Causes of such an anal rash include moisture(due to sweating or frequent washing), the abrasion caused by clothing, the pressure of sitting, chemical irritants like laundry soaps, colognes and scented toilet paper, certain food irritants, medicines like some antibiotics and laxatives, infections like STD’s and pinworms, anal abrasions and fissures and skin problems such as psoriasis, seborrhea and eczema. Sometimes hemorrhoids will start off as red rash and anal itching.
Avatar m tn The size of rash, type of rash, color of rash and associated symptoms all are necessary to be known before diagnosing any condition. Contact dermatitis, Psoriasis, heat rash, chicken pox all can cause rashes in these areas of the body. Other possibilities are candidiasis, fungal infections, parasitic infestations like scabies etc. In herpes there is a cluster of vesicles on a red base. In moist areas like the vagina it may cause ulcerations. Consult a dermatologist for a better evaluation.
Avatar n tn Hello, From your symptoms the first possibility that came to my mind was of psoriasis. The second possibility is of pompholyx. Psoriasis is a long-term (chronic) skin problem that causes skin cells to grow too quickly, resulting in thick, white, silvery, or red patches of skin. Pompholyx is also called dyshidrotic eczema and can be triggered by allergies. It is characterized by a sudden onset of many deep-seated pruritic, clear vesicles which itch and then peel off.
Avatar n tn Dear Dr. One of the very few things I trust in my country is Medicine. When it boils down to simple things, such as subacute spongiotic dermatitis/psoriasiform eczema, it really seems that the world is conspiring against the proper diagnosis. Additionally, my wife and I are currently trying to conceive. When my dermatologist gave me the prescription for the mometasone furoate she knew I was trying to conceive and said it was OK to use.

Avatar n tn I had posted here before about a different condition, but I noticed something the other day that concerned me a little. I noticed that there was some redness on my scrotum and a slight burning sensation. I had been in a thermal pool the day earlier, so I thought it might be something like contact dermatitis. I went to the doctor he prescribed mometasone furoate cream. I haven't noticed any burning sensation as I had earlier this week but the redness has remained.

Avatar m tn I went to the Doctor and was given a perscription for Mometasone Furoate Cream. I used it and the rash continued to spread. I now have it on my arms, legs, back and butt. The have been taking the following medications: Simvastatin 40mg, Lisinopril 5mg, Asprin 81mg, One a day Vitamin, Recent changes to my medications are Acarbose 25mg, and Zyrtec 10mg. Avatar m tn I then went to a dematologist and he suggested that clobetasol is too strong and prescribed mometasone. After more than two months, the mometasone has not made any difference. Can someone Id it from the picture and suggest alternate methods to treat it?
Avatar m tn I was just diagnosed today with psoriasis (!) which may also have been secondarily infected with yeast. Prescribed Ketoconozole for the probable/possible yeast infection, as well as mometasone furoate for the psoriasis. Have been dealing with dry cracked skin on anal region forever it seems, but once I got these dry scaly areas on penis I finally put it all together (or the doc did), now I have the answer I believe.
Avatar n tn I am a 30 year old gay HIV-negative male with anal herpes and anal psoriasis; two conditions which seem to provoke each other. As well, I had a severe case of anal warts (internal and external) 5 years ago. I have tested negative for all other STDs. *Anal Herpes: internal and external, with mild attacks every 2 months for the last 5 years. They take the form of razor-thin cuts, rather than blisters. I am currently on Valtrex 500mg/day. *Psoriasis: extends from the scrotum to the anus.
1673658 tn?1304129481 I ended up finding out about a psoriasis medication that slows down the growth of skin. I got it (coal tar shampoo. I got the T-Gel kind by Neutrogena) and it's made a TREMENDOUS difference in my scalp! I don't know if I have psoriasis of the scalp or not, but the coal tar shampoo has been super effective for me. I actually have a somewhat normal scalp now! It's so amazing. I'm trying to get the word out to as many people as possible.
Avatar n tn I had some dry skin patches problem for same I was taking the treatment. My Dr prescribed me to use Mometasone Furoate cream for dry patches on my skin. But while travelling in a flight I felt my whole face was drying up severly so I applied it on my face around 5-6 time (after applying my moisturizer first ) on same day. Beside that I ate very-very spice food on that day. It was so much spicy that it brought blood in my nasals.

Avatar m tn He prescribed first NYSTATIN AND TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE which i used for 2 weeks without any result, then he prescribed MOMETASONE FUROATE 0.1% which made the situation worse. i then decided to visit a dermatologist which he prescribed HYDROCORTISONE CREAM 2.5% twice a day for a month. 1 month has passed by but i don’t see any improvement at all. I have been single for over a year and masturbate 1-2 a week. Could it be an internal infection instead of external?
Avatar m tn Since a few months, I have started getting boils all over the body. I have been already applying Mometasone Cream...but not having any effect. The boils are very itchy, infact my entire body is itchy. I take anti-allergic tablets to reduce itch but do not want to make it a habit. So, I do not take those tablets every day. My skin is extremely dry so I even massage with olive oil every day. The boils are filled with blood...no pus. Sometimes they dry up but flares up again quickly.
Avatar m tn I have not felt well since and to top it all I have just been diagnosed with psoriasis which I know to be HIV related esp in men my age with no history of it. I have had several negative hiv tests how many coincidences and pointers to HIV can there be? Can anyone suggest a doctor or lab that can test for genetic variants ? Also I'd appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar position ?
Avatar m tn Now, two years after my unprotected exposure I got psoriasis. Balanitis still here, swollen lymph nodes still here, seborrheic dermatitis which flared up a couple of months after exposure, all different kind of rashes, weakness in the whole body... Thinking about taking another test. I cannot believe this, I really got psoriasis. It should be a really big coincidence that those symptoms are not related with my exposure.
