212161 tn?1599427282 to start ive been to 4 drs none of the asthma drs just reg drs one in er oters at a med first i had a cold in oct had 3 weeks started whezing, went back got inhaler, didnt take scare because i have paps of heart week later took because could not breath, felt better. now its been almost two months, still have the whez now and than and a little cough, running nose/stopped up nose.
Avatar f tn I liked your quote without any exertion I can breathe normally...whatever the hell that is. What is normal when you have been short of breath so long. I totally agree. I myself I have COPD as well. My guess would be if it is day 5 without the inhalers, then they should be out of your system. I too had problems with Advair and Spiriva. I was diagnosed in Oct. 07 with moderate COPD. Was put on Advair, Spiriva and ProAir as my rescue inhaler.
746512 tn?1388807580 I was just wondering if anyone here gets side effects from taking albuterol. I have only had the inhaler for about 2 weeks and notice very painful calf muscle cramps that occur a couple hours after taking the inhaler (suppose to pre-treat for a lecture hall that really bugs me). They seem to be getting worse with every dose (only noticed the last couple of times of using it), today my legs are still very sore and crampy and I took the dose 10 hours ago.
Avatar n tn I got the same problem I have to go tomorrow to see the doctor but so far it seems that furoate mometasone causes a lot of side effects and skin reactions. I stopped it for 3 weeks already and my skin still looks like s**t but the doctor told DO NOT USE it!
Avatar f tn Im just a little concerned because i used it once so far, and i know that sometimes the side effects can be really severe (ive been having REALLY bad drowsiness, but thats just annoying not much of a big deal) but it also seemed that the inhaler actually made my chest pains worse. It just made it seem like i had this huge gulp of air caught in my chest.. like i needed to burp but couldnt make it come out.
Avatar f tn Also ask the nurse to watch you take your inhaler, improper technique will increase the chance of side-effects (your headaches). One reliever that works in a slightly different form is atrovent, you could ask to try that one and see if it helps at all. Hopes that helps!
Avatar f tn i have done salt therapies in past , many kinds of therapies like halotherapy , silinetherapy , speleotherapy , they gave me great benefit for asthma , by passing 101 days in a salt cave reduces my asthma that I was feeling that I have new lungs , that was amazing !!!!
1047019 tn?1256719961 Medications are not candy and are used for treating actual conditions. There side effects to every drug, and that needs to be taken into consideration when treating disease and balance of the two should be sought.
1512008 tn?1290210749 i was wondering if anyone out there is on this inhaler and if so have you had any side effects from it. the only side effect i know of is thrush and i thought i had it due to a severe sore throat i got after going 2 rounds of antibiotics and a round of prednisone for not only my asthma but chronic bronchitis that lasted 45 days. the dr put me on the thrush medication just in case i had it in my throat but didnt see it.
5675247 tn?1372384225 Both hydroquinone and mometasone have serious side effects. You should consult a dermatologist and then stop the cream. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with an exercise induced asthma and prescribed a 90 mcg albuterol inhaler. I didn't use it much as I was fine most of the time. But just recently I have been having to use my inhaler every few hours or so because if I don't I get really short breathed. I don't know what's going on and it's worrying me.
Avatar m tn I want to know for general medical knowledge that if there are no results, does it also mean that corticosteroid will be unable to produce any of the side effects since body is not responding. I know that corticosteroid used in nasal sprays is anyways local application only but it also has " increased eye pressure" as a rare side effect. my eye pressures hover around 20-22 , how safe for someone like me would it be to take and for how long ?
Avatar f tn ll get used to the inhaled medicine better or later he will reduce the number of times you need to take the inhaler---or give you an inhaler that delivers less medicine and doesn't have this effect. I hope it's better by now.
Avatar n tn Possibly I have had the groin issue. Have looked up the side effects of singular on web md or someplace like that?
Avatar f tn I was taking that dosage. As time went by I developed very serious adrenal fatigue, sometimes so bad that I couldn't walk. Cortisol levels were very high. I was treated for it with only moderate success. But there was a more serious side effect that I was not aware of. For the last two years my lung health was declining seriously and I honestly did not think I would make it through the coming winter. I assumed that the COPD was progressing at an alarming rate.
Avatar m tn Unfortunately, I think you are on all that there is available to take, outside of oral steroids. I've been told by my pulmonary specialist that at a certain level of asthma treatment that a certain amount of daily symptoms will have to be tolerated. As long as these symptoms aren't detrimental. If the asthma becomes more out of control with detrimental effects, then more potent therapy (such as oral steroids or even higher doses of inhaled steroids) will have to be added on.
Avatar n tn My brain is foggy, but that is how it was explained to me a long time ago by a very knowledgable R.N. Ocassionally there are side effects, and mixing the drugs does not hold well for figuring out the problem.
Avatar f tn I have taken prednisone many other times, with no adverse side effects. I went to the doctor yesterday with the following symptomps; even though I knew that I was getting enough air, I felt that I could not get a good breath and my throat felt very tight and jaw just clenched open while I was gasping for breath. I also felt very anxious. I never experienced this before. Boy it was scary.
678431 tn?1227554311 You can ask the doc who prescribed the inhaler about its contents (or look on the package) and also, once you know what they contain you can do a google search to find out more about side effects, etc. Some inhalers contain steroids, others just albuterol but not usually both meds in one canister. Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn It is unlikely to cause any side effects like drowsiness. However, if you are taking anti histamines, to control nasal symptoms they are likely to cause drowsiness. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn what are the side effects to baby? i have no choice..we had to weigh out the risks to the benefits...just curious what your experiences are?
Avatar n tn The Advisory Board recommended it - which usually indicates the FDA will approve it. But the FDA sent it back for more testing because of possible side effects such a proteins forming in the lungs, acute asthma resulting from it's use, and inablity to truly control dosage.
