Avatar m tn I used mometasone furoate (a topical steroid cream) last night (for the first and ONLY time) on the base of my penis due to a minor skin allergy. Additionally, my wife and I are currently trying to conceive. When my dermatologist gave me the prescription for the mometasone furoate she knew I was trying to conceive and said it was OK to use.

Avatar n tn I had posted here before about a different condition, but I noticed something the other day that concerned me a little. I noticed that there was some redness on my scrotum and a slight burning sensation. I had been in a thermal pool the day earlier, so I thought it might be something like contact dermatitis. I went to the doctor he prescribed mometasone furoate cream. I haven't noticed any burning sensation as I had earlier this week but the redness has remained.
Avatar m tn But my doctor prescribed me to apply mometasone furoate and fusidic acid cream twice a day for 3 days and no moisturizer with a Cafadroxil Tablet. I am bit worried about the dryness and healing part. Over all my skin type is oily. But till now what I have heard after a laser resurfacing moisturizer is must. Please help and let me knw that is use of mometasone furoate and fusidic acid cream is good fpr post laser resurfacing treatment without moisturizer??????
Avatar m tn I then went to a dematologist and he suggested that clobetasol is too strong and prescribed mometasone. After more than two months, the mometasone has not made any difference. Can someone Id it from the picture and suggest alternate methods to treat it?
Avatar n tn I had some dry skin patches problem for same I was taking the treatment. My Dr prescribed me to use Mometasone Furoate cream for dry patches on my skin. But while travelling in a flight I felt my whole face was drying up severly so I applied it on my face around 5-6 time (after applying my moisturizer first ) on same day. Beside that I ate very-very spice food on that day. It was so much spicy that it brought blood in my nasals.

Avatar m tn He prescribed first NYSTATIN AND TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE which i used for 2 weeks without any result, then he prescribed MOMETASONE FUROATE 0.1% which made the situation worse. i then decided to visit a dermatologist which he prescribed HYDROCORTISONE CREAM 2.5% twice a day for a month. 1 month has passed by but i don’t see any improvement at all. I have been single for over a year and masturbate 1-2 a week. Could it be an internal infection instead of external?
Avatar m tn Since a few months, I have started getting boils all over the body. I have been already applying Mometasone Cream...but not having any effect. The boils are very itchy, infact my entire body is itchy. I take anti-allergic tablets to reduce itch but do not want to make it a habit. So, I do not take those tablets every day. My skin is extremely dry so I even massage with olive oil every day. The boils are filled with blood...no pus. Sometimes they dry up but flares up again quickly.
Avatar m tn Hello there, Just finished reading your comments. You say your cat coughs and sneezes when you pet him, scratch his tummy or neck. I don't think your cat is allergic to his own fur. I think when you pet him, scratch his tummy or neck you release fur into the air and the fur is getting into your cat's nose and throat which causes him to cough to try to get the fur out of his mouth and nose. Sounds to me like your kitty may need to be brushed more often, carefully of course.
Avatar n tn A dermatologist would probably use mometasone creme for a very short duration (five days) but needs to be prescribed, especially since the child is very young.Calamine is a home remedy for application but to the non-hairy zone. Do consult your doc.
Avatar m tn So i stopped using wet wipes completely. My family doctor agreed with my theory and prescribed mometasone steroid cream to help speed up the healing process. after about two months of no wipes and mometasone, my problem was gone. Now if i even touch a baby wipe or adult wipe with my hand, i get a poison ivy-like rash, which is strange because i used both for years with no issues. Apparently, you can develop an allergy to anything at any time.
5675247 tn?1372384225 Hello, Melacare is a bleaching agent containing hydroquinone, tretinoin, and mometasone (topical steroid). Both hydroquinone and mometasone have serious side effects. You should consult a dermatologist and then stop the cream. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.
384150 tn?1399904816 Lisa - is a fur baby a dog/animal?? Sorry to be so dense! Just in case a fur baby's a dog, my giant schnauzer, max, is driving me a little bonkers. We put in sod in our backyard which means he has to be off of it completely. He now can go back there but has to be supervised as he loves to dig and dig and dig! This is why we had to get a new lawn in the first place!! Noah has learned that Max loves Cheerios.
Avatar f tn I applied Mupirocin ointment externally and given antibiotic Amoxycillin for 5 days on advise of a general doctor, no improvement. Now I applying Mometasone furoate USP ointment and giving anti allergic tonic Avil since 7 days on advice of one dermatologist but till now no improvement found. Avatar f tn Nooo your not alone!!! My gawd the amount of "fur"... From eyebrows to the small patch on the corner of my d@mn chin that come outta no where to the lovely trail that does not lead to any sort of treasure!!! Lmao... Idk if it will go away, but I sure can hope so!!!
1352166 tn?1280695681 Oh I hope you can get to the bottom of this, I really advise going to a Vet that will actually have a look and perhaps do a swab of her skin around the missing fur, it could be other things going on. any sign of ringworm or scabs?....could also be an allergy to some chemical in the fish tank, I would advise stopping that immediately ALSO a food change, it could well be a food allergy. I would strongly advise NOT dry food and NOT friskies....there are so many much better foods on the market.

691935 tn?1421027090 I picked them up as kittens from a shelter so they are mixed breed. They have long fur that mats very easy. I bath them and brush them with very little success. I have never seen fur like these two. I actually shave both of them from time to time to remove the matts because they get so bad. Does anyone know of anything I can do to remove matts short of cutting and shaving the fur.
1394098 tn?1385960134 Yesterday morning Ii saw that my little Foofy was missing a patch of fur pm the back of her neck. She keeps her fur so beautiful so I noticed it right away. She is an indoor cat so I am puzzled over what happened. She won't let me look closely at it but it doesn't look red or irritated. Could she have just gotten in a little battle with one of her kitty siblings. Do I need to hold her down and really look closely at it.
Avatar f tn So, here is my problem, well, her problem. Recently her fur is not as lux as it used to be, within the last two months. She seems fine other wise and eats normally and no behavioral changes of any kind. And she's developing lots of mats on her lower back and flanks. She's extremely timid when it comes to combs, or any other object coming near her. Sounds and people other myself or husband scare her under the bed too. I know I need to do something but I don't know what.
Avatar f tn My two-and-a-half-year-old Jack Russell has a sticky substance all over his fur and bathing him doesn't help
Avatar f tn The cream is called mometasone furoate cream. It is prescribed to me. Hope this helps for anyone that comes across this post!!
