Avatar n tn one that has been associated with fewer side effects, such as Asmanex® Twisthaler® 220 mcg (mometasone furoate inhalation powder).
212161 tn?1599427282 You should begin by using the Asmanex® Twisthaler® 220 mcg (mometasone furoate inhalation powder) or the Flovent® Inhalation Aerosol (fluticasone propionate) on a regular, daily basis, as prescribed. You should then arrange to see an “asthma doctor”, either an internal medicine specialist or a lung specialist also known as a pulmonologist. Your symptoms don’t entirely fit with the diagnosis of asthma and, if not, you will want to find out what it is and get going with the proper treatment.
Avatar m tn I used mometasone furoate (a topical steroid cream) last night (for the first and ONLY time) on the base of my penis due to a minor skin allergy. Additionally, my wife and I are currently trying to conceive. When my dermatologist gave me the prescription for the mometasone furoate she knew I was trying to conceive and said it was OK to use.
Avatar n tn If the burning returns, try the mometasone again for a couple of days. Stay in touch with your doctor for further advice. No need for another opinion--it sounds as though you got the right one the first time around. Best. Dr.
Avatar f tn The principle involved is to gain control of the airway inflammation with the Medrol® (methylprednisolone) and then maintain it with one or more inhaled steroids. Asmanex® Twisthaler® 220 mcg (mometasone furoate inhalation powder) is an effective inhaled steroid.

Avatar m tn Will try to have steam inhalation--do you suggest any medicine to put in water for inhalation, good support
Avatar n tn I had some dry skin patches problem for same I was taking the treatment. My Dr prescribed me to use Mometasone Furoate cream for dry patches on my skin. But while travelling in a flight I felt my whole face was drying up severly so I applied it on my face around 5-6 time (after applying my moisturizer first ) on same day. Beside that I ate very-very spice food on that day. It was so much spicy that it brought blood in my nasals.
Avatar n tn Treatment is usually symptomatic. Antibiotics for infections and bronchodilators for bronchospasm. And of course avoidance of smoking to prevent further damage to the lungs. To improve lung function practice breathing exercises. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn I would just focus on catching my breath and within about 10 minutes I would be fine. I went running the day after the initial inhalation and noticed that my airways were extremely restricted but not enough to stop me. After I was done my workout I was very hoarse and had more trouble than normal in regaining my breath. So I rested for about 4 or 5 days and was breathing normally and fine. I decided to go running again last night (about a week after initial inhalation.
Avatar n tn The “near fatal reaction” may have had a component of airway inflammation, that served to “tip-off” your asthma, much as can happen with a severe respiratory infection, such as bronchitis, resulting in what is called bronchial hyperreactivity, a feature of asthma. What you have experienced may or may not be asthma in the conventional sense but be more akin to a condition called reactive airways dysfunction syndrome (RADS). This latter may take weeks, months or longer to eventually subside.
Avatar f tn I must inform you about the fact that I have been regularly using Melacare for the past 3 years and I read from few articles on the net that , prolonged application of mometasone creams can lead to skin atrophy since memetasone is a steroid. Now my question what can I apply to reverse this skin atrophy condition or will this actually self-heal the natural way ? would be very grateful to you if you would let me know at the earliest possible time. Thank you.
6191629 tn?1379509587 I am finding that the anti fungals do not seem to work but a combination of Selsun (Selenium Sulphide) plus intermittent mometasone helpful. Thank you for the suggestion about UV light. We have had a relatively poor sunshine summer so I will take a much needed holiday in the sun.
Avatar f tn feelin a little better today my nose seems to be running thanks for the steam inhalation i will have to try it!
Avatar n tn But just do yourself a favor and quite smoking. It will be better for your health and save you allot of money, and yes I did smoke for over 15 years.
Avatar n tn i was using mometasone furoate cream since 3 years and now i have stopped using it and so now my skin has dried so what should i do to recover my skin?
Avatar n tn This would include a long-acting bronchodilator, such as Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate), Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder) or Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) along with an inhaled steroid. Another potentially helpful, oral medicine is called theophylline. Your doctor may also want to prescribe this. You should have your blood oxygen level checked, in case it is low and you would need supplemental oxygen.
Avatar m tn I have been having redness on my penis for years ( i would say 2-3 years). I have never really paid to much attention because it never hurt, burn, hitch, nothing. what i see is redness and some red spots which come out if i get an erection. i then decided to go to see a doctor few months ago. He prescribed first NYSTATIN AND TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE which i used for 2 weeks without any result, then he prescribed MOMETASONE FUROATE 0.1% which made the situation worse.
Avatar m tn Since a few months, I have started getting boils all over the body. I have been already applying Mometasone Cream...but not having any effect. The boils are very itchy, infact my entire body is itchy. I take anti-allergic tablets to reduce itch but do not want to make it a habit. So, I do not take those tablets every day. My skin is extremely dry so I even massage with olive oil every day. The boils are filled with blood...no pus. Sometimes they dry up but flares up again quickly.
