I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
mineral tablet (“A to Z” brand),
- 1 raspberry keytone (sold by Walgreens),
- 2 fish oil soft gels 1200mg (Walgreens brand) ,
- 2 ibuprofen (200mg each) usually, OR 2 acetaminophen (500mg each), OR 2 naproxen sodium (220mg each), OR 1 Rx meloxicam 15mg. (Pain killer taken for residual pain from knee being “scoped” 1/20/12)
What is the doctor’s opinion?
No constapation and been taking ibprofin for pain
My non narco drug that I found to work really good for my back pain is called meloxicam I think that's how u spell it it's just the generic of mobic andbis just an NSAID like motrin or naproxen just a good bit stringer is what my doc told me and it works wonders for me so that's another one to try
on day 10....today my doctor prescribed me Naproxen for my chronic back pain. I know I could search this, but would rather ask anyone with any experience with it's use. Good idea or not to use after 10 days clean. I dont even know if it's a "mild" narcotic or not, however I believe it's similar to Aleeve. Advice? thanks in advance.
My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic,for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels.
A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
So, if you do not have GI bleeding or an ulcer, you may want to ask your doctor about other NSAIDS. Mobic (the generic name is meloxicam) is a great alternative, because it is generic and has less GI/ulcer problems than most of the NSAIDS. Ultimately, you should see what your doctor thinks is best for you. If your doctor insists on Celebrex, you may want to contact the company and see if they have any discount coupons that your pharmacy can process. Many companies do this.
Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS.
In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses.
But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Prescription antiinfammatories like Mobic or Naproxen may help along with a muscle relaxants and specific PT exercises.
