and people I have talked to that are on the Opana they use the Opana IR for breakthrough with the Opana ER. Have you ever tried Oxycodone HCL (immediate release) 15mg, or 30mg tablets for breakthrough pain? I am on Morphine Sulfate and use the Oxycodone for breakthrough and it works well... until your body adapts to the oxycodone and you require an increase in the dose... that's my only hurdle with it.... good luck....

Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic,for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??

I'm upping my dose to 45mg from 30mg. Is it ok to take 15am and 30pm? Or 15mg 3x a day?

Both provided no relief. She then changed me to Mobic 15Mg and Gabapentin, which also provided no relief. I then was prescribed Dicoflenac pills, went off the Gabapentin, and then was prescribed Tramadol. Well the Tramadol does provide relief for the pain. I find that I need to take 150 mg, 50mg every six hours for relief and especially before bedtime so I can sleep without feeling discomfort in my legs. I never experience any pain in my lower back.

During this time, I had no OxyContin tablets yet and I had only the remainder of a prescription for 60 Roxicodone 15mg tablets which I had filled 10 days earlier, which was the day of my doctor's appointment. So at the time of the PA request, i had about 40 roxicodone tablets remaining. Normally I'm supposed to take Oxycontin 30mg 3x/day and roxicodone 15mg 2x/day. For 6 days all I had were these 40 roxicodone 15mg tablets.

i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.

i start 20mg/ day prednisolone generic tablets tomorrow - for fibro pain and adrenal support - please let me know how it has been for you, please! thanks...

m a 49yr old healthy female. Been on 15mg Mobic (NSAID for 2yrs for serious tibial tendonitis). Also Synthroid 75mcgs daily for thy cancer & supression. Last 2 mos have had some minor heartburn feelings swallowing foods which went away after going on Cipro last month for documented UTI by culture.

I have just been given 15mg of the soltab zispin, however I normally take Nurofen Meltlets... not sure if I am allowed anymore.

I take Gabapentin 400mg 4 times a day and Mobic 15mg 3x a day. Swelling is still constant the twitching is slowly coming back and my pain is about an 8! Going back in for second round of injections but I have a negative EMG MRI!! When will it end?? Doctors are saying nerve damage I'm so frustrated and just want my life back I'm 43!!!

I've been taking Morphine Sulfate 15mg. slow release tablets for 2 weeks. The back pain I had is gone and I want to stop taking the Morphine. Is it safe to stop or do I have to wean off of it? I also have the quick release 15mg. of Morphine which I haven't had to use. Will I have some sore of reaction if I stop cold turkey?

Hi everyone I have tried many things for my intense headaches, while they try and figure out the cause. The have tried pain management techniques, chiropractic therapy, bio feed back, the list goes on. They have tried morphine, and vicodin among other drugs they and these did not help. They are trying Meloxicam usually just called Mobic.

Yes, you can take two 7.5 or 3 x 5mg tablets. However, since oxycodone is a Sched II medication, your pharmacist can't fill an Rx written for 15mg tablets with three times as many 5 mg tablets. So, ask your doc to write for the 5mg tablet (the most common) with directions to take 2 or 3 tablets as needed for pain on whatever dosing regimen he/she chooses, and giving you three times as many pills.

My PCP, at this same time, prescribed 15mg of Mobic (an NSAID), and 10mg Flexeril (a muscle relaxer) to treat my low back pain which I started taking daily for 1 month. I have since discontinued those meds, and am not having the low back pain. My PCP prescribed Bentyl, for colon spasms... it did nothing for the pain. He also prescribed aciphex for me to take daily (I don't seem to have heart burn or any other GERD type symptoms).

50 mg and yea motrin 800 doesn't work for me either and is rough on my stomach but mobic(that's the non generic name for meloxicam) is only 15mg and doesn't bother my stomach.

I guess I would just like to know can there be a sweet/foul taste that alternates with this metallic taste. I take prednisone (5mgs), mobic, and lyrica and have for over two years. Could any of these be the cause? Does anyone know if this taste thing could just disappear just like it one day appeared. It's horrible. I eat to cover it up but nothing makes it go away. I brush constantly, some days I constantly keep hard candy in my mouth. Does anyone know if this will get worse?

For the past month i have been taking Lansoprazole for symptoms of acid reflux. this was initially 30mg (15mg twice a day) for a week and then i reverted to 15mg per day. last night I forgot to take my tablet and remembered to take it this morning. however, i feel worse today than i did before. pain in chest, taste of bile in my mouth, my tongue has gone very red at the front tip and a lot of saliva unusually and a burning sensation in my oesophagus. can missing one tablet cause all this?!!!

ve been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent. What have been your experiences with this med? I'm also on Paxil, 10mgs per day, and Methlyne, 15mgs per day, for the depression and anxiety problems. Thx in advance for all your replys. Thom.

I was told that the 5mg IR tablets as well as the 15mg tablets are no longer being made b/c Ethex was the only company making them. But.... their is a capsule form to these strengths that is available. Oxycontin is not affected by Ethex. Well, that is all I know, so I thought I would pass this on.

yes i had not taken any effexor for 5 days, but i had also been taking sleeping tablets, mobic and panadiene forte. i had tirrible nightmares, feeling funny in my head, i felt like i hadnt slept for days and had been wa;lking and couldnt walk or do anything more. but i also felt happy and not suicidal anymore. i went back on the effexor but would love not to have to take it. i have had some disastrous marriages and relationships in my life.

My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative.
