mobic

518798 tn?1295212279 I thought the shoulder pain was causing my wrist and fingers to go numb, come to find out it was the wrist causing the shoulder pain. I am totally baffled. I go back on Monday for a nerve study to determine if I need surgery. I wished I would have gone to the doctor sooner so I could have healed before school starts back. Oh well, I will just pray that surgery is not necessary. Anywhoo, he gave me a script for mobic and tramadol.
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar n tn Help me understand and emg : mild axonopathy of the left lower c4-c5cervical nerve roots..
1581408 tn?1296506870 The pain itself alternates between the deep bone pain (where it feels like you have a severe bruise and someone is shoving their fist into it - hard) and a burning/cold pain that was most definitely nerve-related. The pain gets exponentially worse if I have to stand up for even a few minutes, so I spend nearly all my time sitting or laying down.
Avatar f tn I'm not ready for another surgery. The pain is bad I have headaches every day. Had so many nerve block, occipital nerve blocks. On two pain meds Nucynta ER, Nucynta, neurontin, Mobic, Robaxin. Do you think I will need surgery again?
Avatar f tn For MS, nsaids rarely work, except to help with pain caused only secondarily. For instance, if you favor one leg, the other may get overworked, with sore muscles or worse symptoms, but there's nothing really happening with it that helping the ailing leg wouldn't fix. As to the Neurontin, very possibly your dosage isn't high enough. Did you know that up to 3600 mg/day is safe?
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed neurontin for sciatic nerve pain from a herniated disc. My doctor told me it was not addicting. I know you have to taper off of it though. So if you have been taking it, make sure you don't stop all at once. I agree with going to a pain management clinic. They can point you in the right direction such as epidural steroid shots, physical therapy, water therapy, and other things to try. There are also other non narcotic pain meds out there that may help.
Avatar n tn ve also wrenched the left side of my neck twice in the past 6 weeks at work. No arm or shoulder pain, in fact only symptoms for prior surgeries were nerve pain in arm - never had neck pain! At no time did any doc tell me I had OA. I specifically asked this new doc if he saw any disc or bone spurs at that level and he said no. Lab work for RA was all negative. Has anyone had a similar experience???
Avatar f tn the only meds that help relieve most of the pain are Zomig (really expensive, but no generic version yet) and Meloxicam (generic for Mobic) - both pills taken together usually decrease pain within an hour or two. Hope this helps. My doc also suggested Imitrex when I can't afford the Zomig anymore.
Avatar m tn I have tried lyrica before and it doesn't work for me at all but that is awesome it does for u and u found something to help ur pain that is non narcotic and no it's not cheatin and y do u feel guilty for takin it cause I'm sure u don't feel guilty for takin tylonol or motrin for a headache and whatnot.
Avatar n tn My 15 yr old son has complained of persistent lower back pain for 2 yrs. Advise received from initial visits to his PCP was stretching exercises and to take Advil. Because my son continued to play Baseball,Football and Basketball at competitive levels and excelled in all these sports I assumed it was "growing" pains.
Avatar n tn I am 39, for the last year I have had joint pain in my hands/wrists, knees, hips ,ankles, sometimes back . hand and knee pain are constant and are the same on either side of my body, but vary at times (worse before periods, with bad weather, cold weather, after exercise). 1284111 tn?1271592140 For little over a month now, I have constant pain in left shoulder, left shoulder plate, arm ,forearm and numb index finger(after intense arm wrestling one night). When it first started I had big neck pain also. Now the neck pain is almost all gone but if I work hard(mechanic work or heavy physical activity) it all come back right fast(neck pain and shoulder). If i stay idle for a couple of days, the pain will go away but not totally. So far I had X rays or cervical done, CT scan of neck also.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
1044813 tn?1370494406 Thanks for the suggestion, and we will certainly look into adding that.
Avatar f tn I had a terrible headache for a couple of days but this pain is still going strong. Is this normal? How much longer will it last? Why would it irritate those nerves more than in the neck where I have so many problems? Thank you for your time. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn I am taking mobic for chronic back pain, however i was recently prescribed vicodin to take in unison with the mobic. I need to know how dangerous if at all the combination of the two can be, and if i need to be aware of additional side effects?
Avatar m tn I too had surgery for a thoracic arachnoid cyst 4 years ago. The surgery was a success but the residual pain is more than I can stand. I've had accupuncture, physical therapy, massage therapy, TENS stimulator, and RX- mobic, neurontin, lyrica. Nothing works. My nuero surgeon has now referred me to another neurosurgeon who specializes in pain relief. They think it may be scar tissue around the nerve. Have you ever heard of this.
Avatar f tn Also I have heard of some people taking Lyrica for fibromyalgia pain, and Also you can take Neurontin/ Gabapentin for nerve pain (for the peripheral neuropathy) None of these have tylenol in them. Hope this helps and good job on being clean for 12 years!!
Avatar n tn Do you see a pain management specialist or who is managing your pain? Have you gone on the pain management forum here? That may be a good place for you to look for support in addition to here.
