My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
As many of you know I had a series of 3 ESI's a little over a month ago. They worked great for about two weeks and then my pain started to creep back in. I saw my PM last Tuesday and told her about it and she just prescribed me more anti-inflammatory medicine (mobic) which does not make any bit of difference and I've told her this but for whatever reason she wants me to keep taking it. Possibly to see how long it takes before I get an ulcer!
My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
I then went for a run and when I finished I developed chest pain and lightheadness again after execising. I went back to the emergency room and they said it was not cardiac. They took blood and chest x-ray and everything was normal. Sitting still or lying down I have no pain. I only experience pain during any exertion. Any suggestions of what it could be causing the pain.
Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic,for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels.
A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
I'm having terrible lower back pain. It also hurts in my hips. When I stand for very long, my legs get real weak and trembly. Any ideas or suggestions? I never had these problems until after having a myelogram on my cervical spine. It's now been over six weeks ago and still no improvement. I had an injection of toradol Monday and felt no relief. Please help...
i have had cronic low back pain/ discomfort. the pain goes into my legs. the pain starts when my muscles start to tense up in my lowback and cause my legs to bother me. i have full body twitches going on but controlled with baclofen. ive had emgs, mri's, xrays of my back and brain with no negative out come. they tell me that theres nothing wrong. so they perscribe me tramodol, baclofen, mobic and amitripoline.
3 weeks back, i fall from rickshaw...earlier there was swelling in my right foot but now there is intense pain in the upper part of my foot..i had my X - ray done and there is no fracture or muscles tear.
Suggest some medicine or home remedies anything which can subsided the pain..
The joint pain can be related to hypothyroid conditions. I know , I can't can't it when I am hypo and the worse hypo I am the more I suffer.
I am confused -- TSH labs were 17 - what is "normal" ??
I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
ve been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent. What have been your experiences with this med? I'm also on Paxil, 10mgs per day, and Methlyne, 15mgs per day, for the depression and anxiety problems. Thx in advance for all your replys. Thom.
I managed to flip my board and land heavily and squarely on my bum, ow, I have severe pain mainly in my right cheek. Apologize but at the top of my bum crack, and slightly right.
Cheek is swollen and extremely painful, what have I done ?and what should I do to ease pain ?
I still feel like i have a sinus infection, my CT came back normal with slight maxilary sinus congestion...I was then referred to a neuroligist because my headaches became more and more just facial pain...my face hurts constantly...was diagnosed with tension headache and my MRI came back normal....
I don't know what to do anymore my pain is the worst as soon as i get up in the morning and ranges from 3-7 ( on 1-10 scale)as a daily average...I don't think this is a tension headache.
About 6 days ago, I felt something pop in my back. This caused mild to moderate pain upon moving my neck and body instantly after the pop. Yesterday after I woke up it seemed to get a lot worse. The pain at first was just in my back and neck, but after yesterday its been radiating down my arms, and has increased 10 fold. Then last night I felt a cold sensation going down my back, neck and even my face, then I noticed my breathing got really shallow.
Some of the things I’ve been diagnosed with include osteoarthritis, bone spurs, fibromyalgia, sciatica, lots of torn cartilage in my knees, lower back pain, COPD, anxiety attacks, depression, PTSD, and, well, you get the picture. My primary doctor and my neurologist have me on a lot of medications.
However, something I’m taking (or perhaps the combination of more than one of the medications) continues to make me retain water, wherein my ankles become huge “kankles”, none of my rings fit, etc.
