Mobic and tylenol taken together

Common Questions and Answers about Mobic and tylenol taken together

mobic

Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Avatar n tn I have taken this for a few years now and I wanted to stop. My asthma was worsening and had developed problems swallowing at times. When I stopped the Mobic, I had the most excruciating headaches for almost 1 week now. I am hopeful that this will cease soon, for extra strength Tylenol will not touch the pain in my head.
Avatar m tn m already a member of the Anxiety and Depression forums. After two months, almost, of tests and seeing various doctors and specialist, I've been diagnosed with Osteo Arthritis in the lower back and right hip. For this I've been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent.
Avatar n tn Since the blood work and the results the doctor told me to stop taking the Celebrex and just to take Tylenol instead. The doctor now wants me to have an upper GI evaluation. What could possibly be wrong?
Avatar f tn Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed with UCTD an year ago and i am on Plaquenil. My hands and fingers swell in the night. I start to have tingling sensation. Due to swelling i have sleepless nights. I take tylenol PM but most of the times it doesn't help and i get couple of hrs of sleep. The swelling goes down a little bit in the mid morning. i exercise atleast 4 times a week. Please let me know if anybody else had these issues.
Avatar f tn I have taken two days worth of meloxecam or mobic. The swelling is down some but it is still tender to the touch. Could this be the beginning of rejection?
Avatar m tn Went back to dr for follow up,wanted to give me Tylenol 3 and flexiril. I went back to ER got another shot of dilaudid and a Percocet then had a pain management dr appt next day. Went there here perscribed dilidid and a muscle relaxer. Not working. I'm switching back and forth to Percocet. I also have norco I've thrown in a couple times. Help!?
Avatar n tn um I have been perscribed them but not to be taken together at the exact same time. More like take my Vicoden and then if I am still in pain take my oxy for the breakthrough.
Avatar f tn I take lisinopril myself for HBP and have done so for decades. I've never used naproxen except maybe once or twice. One Rx that might possibly be of benefit for arthritis instead of naproxen is meloxicam, also known as Mobic. I use it occasionally with no ill effects to report.
Avatar m tn I have been on all sorts of meds in the past, including vicodin and percocet. My orthopedic Dr. told me before I could mix tylenol with advil and it would equal a pain pill without the narcotic effect. I don't remember how many of each to take and how many hours apart to take each of them. Is this safe? I would rather take these then go back on pain meds! Thanks!
1581408 tn?1296506870 I remained on Oxycodone, as well as the Mobic (which was renewed finally) and Tylenol (3 500mg tabs per dose) to manage the pain so I could function at work for most of the last 3 months. But when I saw my doctor yesterday, he decided to change things up.
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
513154 tn?1340225289 I have a question about Osteoarthritis and the pain that comes with it. Last November I had 5, 6, and 7 upper vertebra fused together and feel so much better in that way BUT i can't take anti inflammatory medications for my Osteoarthritis, Tylenol doesn't even help a bit and non of the arthritis over the counter meds help either. My question is... is there a non narcotic pain medication that I can take every day? I am 45 years old and very healthy besides my arthritis. thank you!
1489588 tn?1303998295 When I take Savella and Pristiq together, it works wonders. When both my pain dr and my psychiatrist got together and said I couldn't take them together, I became very depressed after getting off of Savella. I didn't want to kill myself, but I sure didn't want to live. Lyrica put me to sleep in horrible ways, Cymbalta doesn't work for me and anything like Prozac or Lexapro or Zoloft is candy to me. I also take Norco.
Avatar m tn I've taken Mobic and Hydrosil as prescribed by my doctor because of my right knee discomfort last month. I immediately stop taken it after my right foot started to numb and tingling the next day. The problem still exist and it has been one month already. Why is it like this? Also, I've been taking Vitamin B complex supplement from that day onwards and it seems not working until today.
Avatar f tn can armour, nexium and allegra 24 hour be taken together together in the morning on an empty stomach
Avatar m tn i have taken mobic before..not long enough to get addicted if they are addictive..have you tried lyrica? some have good luck with it>..
Avatar n tn Even with Mobic, I found myself still needing Advil. Have now stopped Mobic and am using Advil and tylenol as needed. Per PC, I do have an appt. with a Rheumy for a 2nd opinion in June, but to be honest I am not hopeful that this doc will know how to read an xray......
Avatar n tn been taking mobic and tylenol arthritis . not much improvement. went to dr. today and he prescribed me prednisione. but my bp was high and that was kind of upsetting. can an arthritic flare, if thats what it is, make your bp jump? thanks.
Avatar f tn Thank you for replying. Can also taking Advil and Tylenol together cause a rash? I have taken them together a couple times and I did break out in a rash. But I know I am not allergic to the advil because I have been taking that alone without the tylenol and didn't break out in a rash. It is only the tylenol that I take by itself that I break out in a rash.
5082295 tn?1371250911 I just started Mobic (meloxicam) a few days ago and they say I should work fast. Im taking one 7.5 tab a day for Piriformis syndrome which is a disorder that occurs when the sciatic nerve is compressed or otherwise irritated by the piriformis muscle. I really don't see any difference in my pain level at all, I had more help w ibphrofen, should I take that right now too? could I increase the dose till I talk to my doc on Monday or should I give it more time to work?
199177 tn?1490498534 s in my stomach So be careful with the Motrin and Aleve and things like Mobic,Voltaren they can be very serious if u ignore it..Now for me will have to be Tylenol or my muscle relaxers ..
Avatar f tn Last week I was prescribed Armour thyroid to be taken 3 times per day, with the first dose to be taken in the morning together with a low dose of synthroid. Has anyone heard of this? I spoke to two pharmacists and they both report they have never seen it prescribed that way. Please help!!!
518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
Avatar f tn the only meds that help relieve most of the pain are Zomig (really expensive, but no generic version yet) and Meloxicam (generic for Mobic) - both pills taken together usually decrease pain within an hour or two. Hope this helps. My doc also suggested Imitrex when I can't afford the Zomig anymore.
Avatar f tn I work for an Ortho Surgeon who specializes in knee and hip replacements and also sees a lot of patients with severe arthritis, he does use Mobic alot but also uses the Arthrotec. Find a good dr. and get some definitive answers then proceed from there as far as what medications will help you. Keep us posted and welcome to the forum.
