mobic

Avatar f tn Non steroidal anti inflammatory medications do have documented affects on the heart including raising blood pressure. They work so well for pain and immflamation that it is a real shame. Some will have more of an effect than others. To note, Mobic is also an Nsaid. But perhaps has less heart effect. Here's an article I found helpful https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/heart-safer-nsaid-alternatives Tylenol? Tramadol? Physical therapy? Exercise?
Avatar n tn t start having heartburn until I had taken Mobic for 4 or 5 months, in February of this year I went to the emergency room with chest pain and my blood pressure was 165/113, my blood pressure is usually 110/72. So I was a little concerned, they did lots of tests, x-ray, EKG, and came to the conclusion that it is was heartburn due to the mobic. The doctor prescribed nexium, which I have been taking ever since, and it seems to help with the chest pain.
Avatar f tn 00 a.m. with heart pressure. Usually, I ignore anything with my heart because I suffer from anxiety and i always blame it on that. But, it didn't go away. I also noticed a strange taste in my mouth and my stomach was upset all day. I have heartburn which I never have. Even crackers that day caused reflux. I had the chest pressure all day nonstop. I saw my cardiologist and the EKG was normal but he ordered a stress test as the echo was normal a year or so ago.

Avatar n tn I was put on Lipitor and already take Lisinipril for high blood pressure. I was discharged and did not exercise for about 3 weeks. I then went for a run and when I finished I developed chest pain and lightheadness again after execising. I went back to the emergency room and they said it was not cardiac. They took blood and chest x-ray and everything was normal. Sitting still or lying down I have no pain. I only experience pain during any exertion.

Avatar f tn It is difficult to diagnose the cause of headaches on net. Sinusitis, refractive errors of the eye, migraine, cluster headaches, brain tumors, high blood pressure, temporal arteritis, pinched cervical spinal nerve, tension headaches, poor or disturbed sleep etc are several causes of headaches. Dental pain and ear ache can cause similar symptoms. Please consult a headache and migraine specialist to rule out these causes one by one. Take care!
5082295 tn?1371250911 After my exercise routine, at night one of my calves was totally swollen (2 inches more compared to the other one) and my left leg was totally numb. My blood pressure was high (over 160) and I was feeling like I was going to pass out (nausea, blurred vision). Next morning I called my insurance and they told me to go to emergency room to have an ultrasound in my leg to see if I had a blood clot. They didn't find any (lucky me!
Avatar n tn I have a little high blood pressure and have been on medication since I had my first child. I have also been taking mobic for arthritis pain and it seemed to be working fine for a while. In the last couple of days, I have had dizzy spells bad enough to pull off the side of the road. Now I can hardly bend over for the soreness in my muscles and my joints. I haven't had any other symptoms such as flu. Only the soreness and it is almost unbearable at times.
Avatar n tn I was taking Ibuprofen for years and the pain in my knees was intollerable and I was confined to a wheel chair. About a year ago I started taking 1400 IU of Vitamin D and stopped the ibuprofen totally, my arthritis was doing MUCH better, even started taking short walks, however, recently, I had an injury and started taking Ibuprofen.....now my knees hurt all the time. Can Ibuprofen deplete vitamin D?

493368 tn?1209757681 Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.

Avatar m tn This may need a few trials before a medication that suits you is adjusted at an optimal dose. Keep a morning evening record of your blood pressure for a few days. If your blood pressure remains high after medication, then there are two possibilities. Either the medication is not suiting you. OR there is some underlying cause which needs to be eliminated.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Avatar m tn m already a member of the Anxiety and Depression forums. After two months, almost, of tests and seeing various doctors and specialist, I've been diagnosed with Osteo Arthritis in the lower back and right hip. For this I've been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent.
Avatar n tn t hurt to move my hip---it is just and ache that i can feel deep inside and it seems to ache down my leg for a ways. i had the same sensation in my knee a week or so ago. it didn't hurt to move my knee, but it just ached deepinside the joint and for a little way above and below my knee. my knees used to hurt really bad at night--but it was a different kind of pain. my hips used to hurt years ago--sometimes sharp pains when i moved them--but then it disappeared for years.
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. The inactive ingredients in Meloxicam (MOBIC) tablets include colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, and sodium citrate dihydrate. So, the sodium content should be in very minute quantities. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
