mobic and back pain

I was on it for a few months for siactic pain and back injury. i didn't notice it did anything. a good one for carpel tunnel is naprosyn. but it is loaded with aspirin and some peoples' stomaches cannot handle it. i had carpal tunnel and man does that hurt too. after like a year we finally tried a steroid pack and that did the trick. also i couldn't work for months. my hands are fine now.

I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.

Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.

They worked great for about two weeks and then my pain started to creep back in. I saw my PM last Tuesday and told her about it and she just prescribed me more anti-inflammatory medicine (mobic) which does not make any bit of difference and I've told her this but for whatever reason she wants me to keep taking it. Possibly to see how long it takes before I get an ulcer!

My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?

I'm a 29 year old female. I have been experiencing lower back pain that radiates down my legs for the past 3 years. I've been to the doctor but all he really does is give me muscle relaxers and pain pills. I've noticed when I walk my back pops and it is loud enough that my husband has commented on the sound. It's starting to effect my job, ( I'm a hair dresser.) I just don't know what direction I should go next. I really am at my wits end.

I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.

ve been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent. What have been your experiences with this med? I'm also on Paxil, 10mgs per day, and Methlyne, 15mgs per day, for the depression and anxiety problems. Thx in advance for all your replys. Thom.

Yesterday after I woke up it seemed to get a lot worse. The pain at first was just in my back and neck, but after yesterday its been radiating down my arms, and has increased 10 fold. Then last night I felt a cold sensation going down my back, neck and even my face, then I noticed my breathing got really shallow. Today, while lying in bed, I could hardly even get up the pain was so excruciating. Could someone please shed some light on what might have happened to me?

Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.

Hi all my good friends i have a question i am having a lot more joint pain and headaches i wanted to know if i could use rubbing alcohol on my muscles to reduce the the joint pain im thinking no but i figured i would ask anyway because im in pain

I have been having sharp chest pain, starts in left breast ,once in awhile middle of chest, and goes around to my back, for 3 months. My doctor did an EKG and it was ok, and didn't have an answer. It can happen, then might not again for a coupIe hours, sometimes it happens in just a few minutes. I also have a strange sensation, hurting, in both jaws. It is happening more often now. I had Rheumatic Fevor as a young child, and heart disease in family.

I have been completely off Oxys for about a week and never did have really bad withdrawals. But the PAIN in my knee and back is devastating. I can hardly take care of myself it hurts so bad. Simple thinks like showers or getting down stairs are very hard. I don't know what is going to happen at this appointment but I do NOT want to live in this kind of pain.

Now my left arm is going numb, and when its not numb, my meaty part of my palm and left two smaller fingers stay numb.......Not to mention, the pain at times is unbearable in the elbow and wrist!!!!!!! I had a MRI last week, and EMG two days after that.......see doctor next week, hopefully for an answer.......I cant sleep, only sitting up, and breathing at times is hard without pain.....even a hard step sends a shock up my spine.....Like an electrical shock!!!!! Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic,for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??

HE CKS BOTH ARMS AND FEELS SWELLING ON MY CENTRAL NERVE THAT IS ON MY ELBOW. HE SAID IT WAS LOC ON A GOLF NERVE THEY CALL GOLF ELBOW.

i am using Mobic on and off for pain. But due to swelling i am not able to make a fist. i have pain on the edges of the palm.

I was taking Ibuprofen for years and the pain in my knees was intollerable and I was confined to a wheel chair. About a year ago I started taking 1400 IU of Vitamin D and stopped the ibuprofen totally, my arthritis was doing MUCH better, even started taking short walks, however, recently, I had an injury and started taking Ibuprofen.....now my knees hurt all the time. Can Ibuprofen deplete vitamin D?

earlier there was swelling in my right foot but now there is intense pain in the upper part of my foot..i had my X - ray done and there is no fracture or muscles tear. Suggest some medicine or home remedies anything which can subsided the pain..

Non steroidal anti inflammatory medications do have documented affects on the heart including raising blood pressure. They work so well for pain and immflamation that it is a real shame. Some will have more of an effect than others. To note, Mobic is also an Nsaid. But perhaps has less heart effect. Can you post your blood levels and anything else like medications you are on. Swelling joint pain and weight gain is related to your Dx. Please post meds and labs if you have them.
