suboxone

How old is your step son? Is he required to attend counseling and/ or support groups along with the suboxone? Yes many people get on and stay on suboxone for years. It does and can become another addiction. He needs to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. The suboxone is still in control he isn't. Does he live with anyone?
mixing methadone with klonopin is very dangerous, It makes the effects of the opiate in methadone much much stronger and causes enhaced CNS depression and can cause respiratory arrest causing death.
Please really consider letting your doctor in on this. Sometimes with alcohol detox, a benzo such as xanax or valium may be needed to prevent seizures. I'm not trying to scare you. I just want you to be very cautious and take care of yourself. We are here for you and want to see you get through this. Post this on your own thread and you will get all kinds of great support. I wish you nothing but the best on your road to recovery!
can you take an=mbien while on suboxone? I also take xanax, not alot, to help ease the anxiety of w/d's. Im almost at day 3 and so far I feel good this time. I dont mean in the sense that i have no w/d symptoms, id defintiely do, but I feel like this time might actually be the one where i dont go back. Only time will tell I know but if this is as bad as it will get for me then i think ill be ok.
25 xanax I know that a vey low dose but I am still worried how this will effect me. I never really did the benzo thing but after trying couple different medications for my anxiety and they didn't work or made my anxiety worse, I talked to my doctor and I am suppose try the .25 xanax.
i DO find that Adderall does help with w/d symptoms to an extent. there are reports on the web about people mixing xanax with suboxone (buprenorphine) and dying. the reports seem to gloss over that these people were SHOOTING these substances. so in the case that you are shooting them. don't. Adderall can be psychologically habit-forming, but i don't even like it enough to abuse it. feels like i drank 20 cups of coffee. yuck. and good luck getting off the Subs.
im so happy im atleast trying to stop but i dont know if this will work. ive tried mixing suboxone with benzo's but i liked it so much i stopped. please responmse wiht any words of advice iwould love to hear from anyone, ive neever been able to speak to others in my situation. im embaressed to try na. any reply wiht any positive comments would be amazing.
Sub also has a long half life (which means it stays in the system) of about 36-72 hours. Mixing suboxone and other opiates can be a pretty dangerous game. Would she be honest with you if you confronted her?
I tried to do it as painless as possible and I still had to go through some things. The soma should help with the rls.
So yes, you can get high from subutex, thats why most doc's prescribe suboxone instead of subutex. And as with any opiate, mixing xanax or other benzo's greatly enhances the opiate's effect. Often opiate addicts will begin doing this once their opiate tolerance is so great that they no longer get high, but rather just take the opiate's to not be sick. Oxycontin is a perfect example. Snorting 80 mg's of OC mixed with 1 to 2 mg of xanax will get you higher than snorting 240 mg's of Oxy.
But you can't get high off of other narcs while on Sub, but my doc did say that if you did enough of a narc that you might be able to override the Sub blockage, depending on the dose but I am not sure about that. But mixing other drugs with Sub, such as alcohol, any of the xanax, valium, ect, barbs, ect. can effect with the Sub. And you can get very high,BUT there are several cases of people dying from mixing such drugs as xanax, with Sub. This is true.
NOW FOR SOME BRAIN FOOD... suboxone DOES WORK GREAT ON ITS ON FOR WD! BUT.... BE CAREFUL MIXING with BENZOS (xanax) FOR SURE IT CAUSES REALLY SLOW OR STOPPED BREATHING... HOPE THAT HELPS YALL!
The danger with mixing suboxone/ Subutex with alcohol is the same as mixing any opiate with alcohol. They are both respiratory depressants. you may drink all night long and never notice a problem. Then you go to sleep and die of pulmonary failure. Since you mention you really don't like to drink anyway, why are you allowing your so-called friends to dictate your behavior? If they ask why you aren't drinking, just tell them the truth - you don't like it!
xanax withdrawl Symtoms: I was prescribed xanax for a short time to help me cope with my divorce. I never abused the medication and took my daily .5 x 3 dose. The Doctor never mentioned that it was dangerous to just quit. you guessed it--When I felt that I could handle the stress without them--I stopped cold turkey not knowing the consequences. The first 2 days I experienced hot/cold flashes, very pale skin and a very INTENSE feeling of a "cloudy head"...
The reason doctors dont like to prescribe a benzo with methadone is that over 90% of methadone overdoses are due to the mixing with xanax mainly, but also other benzo's like valium and klonopin. So your sub doctor may not like the fact that your taking valium, have you ever considered tapering off the valium, whatever happens just make sure that you are honest with the doctor.
I'm not getting the suboxone from the doctor or I would've asked him. That's why I came here.
He informed my husband that the ambien cr could be taken with the suboxone. I was still a bit nervous so of course my husband slept beautifully with me watching each breath to make sure he didn't suffer respiratory distress...I believe that suboxone reaction depends on the individual and your best bet would be to open up more to your doctor because he knows more about you than anyone here could.
I am aware and careful with mixing alcohol with benzos) - I have a hot tub. Ive heard this is good, though when I'm WDing I can barely get up to make it to the bathroom, getting in and out if the hot tub on my back porch seems like it will be tough How should I ration the little amount of benzos I have, save them for the night time when I am guessing it will be the toughest? By the time night falls, that will be far and away the longest I have ever gone without oxy.
i need to know if taking my pain pills with my xanax is a good idea? my doctor that prescribes my xanax does not know that i am taking pain pills. i'm ready for rehab, cause i can't go on like this anymore. my anxiety is getting the best of me now. i'm going thru alot right now and the first thing i do is reach for my xanax's. i need help bad.
My goal (as well as my Dr's) was never for a long-term suboxone treatment, but he's been very patient with me - understanding my need to not be too sick to work and study. (I work full time and go to school at night. I'm a Sr. in college). I started at 8mgs (half twice daily) and am now under 2mgs (half twice daily). It's getting much harder now, and yet some ppl. "jump" at this point. It makes me want to cry thinking about having to do that. Even my Dr. says he often takes ppl.
i also went through tx, i did not last long the best thing you can do for your body is get off the opiates please be carefull with the poles, mixing the benzo and opiatees can be deadly sure you know that the bars are extended release, so thats probably not keeping you up more likley to be the short acting opiates you are taking, they wear off while you are asleep, your body feels the wd and wakes up i have never suggested this to anyone on this forum, but with your liver disease, and chronic us
I was on suboxone for alomost a month and there is no way I would drink while taking it. I had read that mixing suboxone and alcohol could/would cause serious breathing problems. you might want to check with your doctor about it before you do.
Now I will say that the methadone, which has been about almost 2 years since Ive started on it, has been the only treatment that has given me enough security and comfort to truly know in my head that I dont need to use and was able to avoid relapsing, but even though I wasn't going back onto Heroin or taking opioids her and there I was continuing my overall addiction by mixing my daily methadone with benzos, xanax being used the most often.
I want to call the psychiatrist(who treats him with the suboxone) and tell him but not sure if I should. I love him and want him to be healthy and totally clean. Before his co-worker started giving (then selling) him the SOMA, Dans and Oxycontin, he was in great physical shape, eating very healthy, working out, doing well. Now he's undone years of positive personal growth and living.
If you are on suboxone and are given any council and I am including Drs.and or therapists or even people who mean well ,mixing suboxone with any form of benzodiazapine drug ie.-xanax, clonazepam valium, etc.
The suboxone takes awhile to get out of your system so the withdrawels are delayed. you probably have also put them off by takeing the pain meds.
I have tried xanax and benedryl to sleep with mixed results. I feel like this is working. If I get to a point where I concede failure, I fully plan on checking into a rehab or detox or whatever. I'm done playing around and flushing money, but my preference is to not have this on record.
hi, I have been on suboxine since June. I had taken xanax for 20 yrs. The suboxine dr told me that xanax & klonopin are the worst to take with sub's. you can take to much xanax & pass out and poss die. Especially xanax in large quanties. Beleive it or not my sub dr gave 2mg valium for anxiety. In my drug yrs I would have taken 40,50 mgs a day of valiums, always got them off the street, xanax i had a script for.. Now I take 2 mgs 3 times a day.
It takes a certain license to be able to prescribed suboxone. In order for you to be able to be successful with suboxone you have to realize that it isn't only a pill but a program. suboxone puts your withdrawals on hold until you are ready to deal with them. suboxone isn't some magic pill to keep you from having withdrawals. you will experience withdrawal once you stop taking the sub.
