suboxone

Avatar m tn Yesterday i was prescribed tramadol by a different doctor for my pain and migraine. What i need to know is if it is OK to take tramadol while i am on suboxone? i am afraid that if i take tramadol tonight, the next morning when i dose my suboxone i will feel a very discomfort feeling or withdrawal. I have been searching for answers everywhere but i was never have an accurate answer. i never wanna ask my subs doctor because it's worthless and no nothing except writing subs script.
621290 tn?1226720261 Please no, don't take Tramadol at all. It is a very dangerous, very addictive drug with some of the worst withdrawals of any drug. And you are on 16mg of Sub per day? Without a doubt, don't take the Tramadol. Really, do yourself a favor and never touch it. And get off the sub as fast as you can.
Avatar f tn I figured that since I’m on suboxone, it would’ve just thrown the tramadol off and I would’ve been fine to take it, but wasn’t brave enough to find out and wasn’t able to find any answer online.
Avatar f tn Has any one had experience with taking suboxone SHORT TERM, (4 days) for withdrawal symptoms from tramadol. I used suboxone to help with the withdrawal symptoms of oxicodone over a year ago. It helped alot. They got me through that ring of fire. But I was perscribed tramadol over a month ago for back pain from an injury @ work. I no longer have the pain, all healed up, but I can not make it through the day with out the tramadole.
Avatar f tn Is there anyway that mixing alcohol with suboxone would cause my feet to swell up?
7682215 tn?1393326105 I've taken Norco and Tramadol before to help with ovarian cysts and other medical issues. But now I find that when my depression becomes unbearable, I tend to turn to opiates as a way to numb it all out vs cutting. I am going through an incredible amount of stress and depression. Now that I'm in my early adult years, I've started to notice the development of symptoms very typical of Bi-polar depression, which I have yet to be diagnosed and treated for, but it explains everything.
Avatar f tn I am on suboxone prescribed by my doctor, well I resently moved out of town and found a new suboxone dr who has prescribed me all these medications to take along with taking the suboxone. I am soooooo scared to take what he has told me to take seeing all these horror storys online about mixing benzos and suboxone. Well if anyone can help me feel better or if they have had this experience also please post keep in mind I have never took any of these medications before other then the suboxone.
Avatar f tn I took some adderall and tramadol and started to feel really weird. I never had a seizure but I thought I might of been felling one come on. I got real dizzy,my face was tingly and my jaw was clenching up and painful. Could u tell me if u feel one come on and if yes what are the symtons? I have not taken tramadol since.
Avatar f tn t know this for a fact, but I would be willing to bet that Suboxone would override Tramadol, resulting in no real effect from Tramadol. Both Suboxone and Tramadol are active at the mu receptor on the brain. Since Suboxone has a very high affinity for this receptor, it would already have the receptor full and I doubt that Tramadol would kick it out. The chances of going into withdrawal are very high. My advice would be not to mix the two, but check with your doctor before you make a decision.
Avatar f tn Hi. I hope this forum is still active. I and my husband are both addicted to Tramadol. It happened when I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and my husband with multiple sclerosis about 2 years ago. We want to stop this horrible drug; it is taking over our lives. It’s not helping us with the pain, we just taking it so to not get the bad withdrawal symptoms. I have appointment with my doctor June 6, I want to tell him about Suboxone. Anyone has used suboxone to help with withdrawal symptoms?
Avatar f tn I have been on suboxone for 3 years. Yesterday, I had 2 teeth pulled and my mother in law gave me some tramadol. Without even thinking (and I think I was under the impression that it wasn’t an opioid) I took a 50mg. My question is.. when can I safely take my suboxone dose?
Avatar n tn m so impatient that I may just take the Suboxone right now and find out for myself. Scary! If my arms and legs start going insane (more than they already are) I'll be back to let everyone know not to ever take Suboxone so soon after taking Tramadol.
372880 tn?1332879487 why did u take lortabs with suboxone? isnt that dangerous , to be mixing suboxone with opiates. But I think u will have to want to stay off the ultrams . besides if it has been 2 weeks u probably have already went through most of the bad withdrawls .
Avatar m tn Welcome to the forum! I read your post and did a search for "Suboxone for tramadol addiction" and came up with alots of posts. Some say yes, some say no. I didn't read all the posts though. You may want to do a search on this and read more. But someone will be on soon that can really help. Also you can go to Suboxone.com, locate a doctor near you and ask them directly. Which ever way you choose to get clean, just get clean. And we're all here to help you.
Avatar f tn Hi there. I have no personal experience mixing alcohol with suboxone but my wife does. She was on subutex in South Africa and drank with no ill effects. However when she emmigrated here(to NZ) she was transferred onto suboxone. Apparently the naltrexone/naloxone disrupts the absorbtion of alcohol into the bloodstream and she could not ever feel the effects of the alcohol. I have also read of a treatment for alcoholics where they are prescibed daily doses of naltrexone for this reason.
Avatar m tn It very dangerous for you to be taking cymbalta on tram it can cause seizures and serotonin syndrome which can be fatal... I would strongly talk to you doctor about mixing the two .Are you planing on talking to a doctor about this I would guess if your are going to like about sub you will be seeing a doctor .Taper is just removing a small amount every several days .Plz stay on one thread when you post multiple it makes it confusing for members to fallow ...
Avatar m tn ve called every treatment center in my area that treats opiod dependence with suboxone. When I say I need treatment for tramadol dependecy they tell me tramadol is not an opiate and they don't treat for it. I reallu need to find some help. I've been tapering off but I know I'm gonna need some extra help. Does anyone know if there is another route I can go to get suboxone?
460591 tn?1207150799 I just took 10 mg of Ritalin to help me study. I know this isn't good, but it's what I've chosen to do to read my 100+ pages before tomorrow. I was wondering if it is safe to mix 10 mg of Ritalin with 2mg of Suboxone? I don't think it will put my heart under a lot of stress... I know uppers and downers are bad to mix, but I don't think such a low dose should hurt anything... Anyone know for sure? Thanks.
Avatar f tn be careful if your mixing Sub with Benzos or Tramadol.....You are not supp to do Tramadol with Suboxone and as far as i know mixing Benzos with it will kill you. I have been sick off of Suboxone once 2 years ago b/c i mixed things i shouldnt have and i thought i was gonna die... Just be careful...you sound smart though. So i dont mean to nag...
Avatar f tn no i cold turkeyed tramadol and started suboxone 2 days later. dr said to come see him tomorrow. im just wondering what a typical maintance dose might be or what other peoples doses r that took the same amount i did.
Avatar f tn You would need to ask your prescriber or your pharmacist about the potential for interaction. I honestly don’t know. I would not advise taking suboxone after any opioid type pain medication unless you have cleared it with your doctor.
