mixing seroquel and xanax

how much seroquel, xanax, and alcohol causes an overdose. im qworried about my sister, she ha been prescribed xanax for 8 years now at 2mg a day, so her tolerance is well established. she is also an alcoholic. thankfully, she knows not to combine xanax while drinking, but what about the addition of seroquel? could she OD from the pill combination alone? would then the addition of alcohol just pretty much seal her fate?

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder with PTSD and I was put on xanax 1mg to take 2 1/2 a day. I was experiencing mainly what my psychiatrist called mania where I would be ridiculously irritable and nervous/shaky. While the xanax took care of most of this, at times I still experience a very bad mood and have anger problems, where I fly off the handle at things that wouldn't bother most people to that extreme.

I, 56-year-old female was on wellbutrin and seroquel for the last 2.5 years for GAD and depression, following a psychotic 5 days in an acute care hospital. i also take provigil as needed for daytime sleepiness. The wellbutrin was 100sr generic, and seroquel 75, of which I take 1/3 of seroquel as needed for anxiety.

Hello and welcome to the forum, I wouldn't consider a six pack a week as heavy drinking. The knowledge that I have is that xanax and Seroquel do not have an impact on your liver. Also 50 mgs of Seroqeul is very low dose. I am on 600. However it looks like you have hepatitis c and you probably know you shouldn't drink because of that. There are likely a lot of medications that effect your liver.

Did Lexapro make you feel dull neither happy or sad I couldn't cry and even though I had horrible anxiety attacks hence the xanax the lexapro made me feel horrible, I have been off of it since May and I can't believe the difference.I can cry when I am sad I feel the difference between right and wrong, my kids can't believe the difference since I have been off the Lexapro had anyone else experienced that dull feeling while on the Lexapro?

I'm switching from 90mg Cymbalta, 50mg Trazadone, and 10mg Ambien to initially 200mg of Seroquel and increasing the Lithium to 1200mg. I'm wondering if folks have found Seroquel to be better/worse and if any withdrawal was noticed in changing.

I am about to be perscribed Xanax XR once a day due to my ups and downs on regular Xanax. I have been on Xanax 3x a day at .5 mg for 3 years and decided to make the switch. My question is what is the recommended starting dosage of XR if I'm currently take 1.5 Mg a day total? 1 MG, 2MG or 3MG Xanax XR?

was on klonpin 11 yrs prior to xanax.. but just methadone and xanax since 04...i know about the mix or my combo vey well on very low doses of each..the xanax 0.5 5aday..methadone 10 mgs aday..was at 1 time 160 mgs i detoxed at home 2 yrs ago..got away from it 45 days then back at the dose im at..now the questshion?? my shrink has added lamictail to my combo,,i asked him if it would had any further respatory depression..he just kinda nodded his head..wating oin his nest 8 min patient..

So, essentially, the anti-psychotics are out of the picture for me. Xanax XR sedates me, but nowhere near as much as the Seroquel. I know that I am basically just 'high' on it, but at least my mood is up and I am functional. My next suggestion to my shrink is to replace the Klonopin with the Xanax XR slowly and go from there. A switch in meds wouldn't be a bad deal for me..

I have heard two different definitions of mixed state/episode. 1. Symptoms of mania and depression occurring at the SAME EXACT TIME 2. Mania and depression alternating rapidly I had always understood that it was the symptoms of mania and depression happening simultaneously, not alternating rapidly. I thought alternating rapidly was rapid cycling, and in the case of it happening within days or 24 hrs, it was called ultra rapid cycling.

The neurologist I saw put me on xanax and I am up to 2 mg a day- divided throughout the day. As soon as the dose wears off I begin feeling horribly, anxious, more restless. I have been taking the xanax since May- and origionally was on a dose anywhere between .75 a day to maximum 1.5 a day- now I need the 2 mg a day to barely scratch the surface. The akathisia is so unbearable at times it brings me to tears- then the xanax helps a little but it all comes back full force.

Worried new psych office messed up my appt, hope they just mixed me up with someone else. They called to confirm an appt for Sept 10, in the morning, with Dr. Young, in the message they said for 'mickey'. Well, I'm Meghan, my appt is for on the 11th and it is with Dr. Mossinghoff. I have canceled my appt with my old pdoc and I have only JUST enough Seroquel to get me to the doc and I specifically wanted Dr. Mossinghoff! Have to clarify in the am.

You get the extended release which should cause less sedation but still when mixed with a benzodiazepine such as Xanax it will add up and make you feel like you mentioned above. Xanax should only be taken occasionally when you are very anxious or having a panic attack. Xanax is very addictive like any benzodiazepine. To answer to question directly, yes there is an interaction between Xanax and Seroquel.

I killed it by seroquel and that was my first use of seroquel. Was this another mania? or depression because in a Canadian booklet sent to me kindly by LeftCoastChick it says stress can trigger manic OR depressive episodes. Also in the section on depression it says sleep disturbance yet i know that sleep disturbance is a sign of mania. could you acknowledge please. I know i should read depression central first which i will. It's only a question which occured to me.

I was swithced to Rozerem for sleep after developing severe akathisia from one of my other medications- I was taking risperdal and seroquel. I got off of the risperdal and seroquel and my neurologist put me on xanax to control the akathisia symptoms. I was beginning to feel better for a little while and now i am feeling worse and worse. The only thing new into the mix is the initiation of Rozerem for sleep.

However, I am very sensitive to medication; Seroquel kicked me into a manic episode. Given this fact, what are some of the effective mood stabilizers for mania? Hi adel does seroquel help in reducing your anxiety?.It has reduced my anxiety since it was started yesterday by my Pdoc.Do you think 25 mg BD is sufficient to relieve anxiety as he is using it for that purpose.

With the increase of Seroquel XR, up from 500mg to 600mg. The nurse practitioner wanted me to take it at 8pm, I don't think so. I don't want to be fuzzy brained for the best part of my day. Evening is my most creative, productive time of day. I took it at 930pm last night. Same thing happened. It made me druggy and I closed my eyes for a couple of hours but it didn't qualify as sleep. I had to get up and take Xanax, only .25mg, to get that. I still feel fuzzy in the am and during the day.

I used to know a girl who was a bonafied sex addict (no joke here, she had a really bad disease) who was on Seroquel. I won't go into any details, but believe me....she really was sick. Real sex addiction is nothing to laugh at. She gave me a couple of Seroquel one time and I just took one, and was as f**ked up as a person can possibly get.

I am just coming out of a mixed manic/deppressive episode for which I was hospitalized. I am on Lamictal, Geodon, Seroquil, and Colanzapam. I am still having bad anxiety (does not feel like mania anymore, just anxiety). I did not have anxiety before this happened. My family doctor prescribed me Paxil for my extreme depression that put this whole thing into a downward spiral. I am seeing a great psychiatrist now who is putting me on the right track.

so i have had to withdrawal before i could get my prescription refilled. and it is a monster to withdrawal from xanax. i am suppose to take three 1 mg. xanax a day. when i started xanax in january, i would take one and instantly feel the calming effect. and i would only need one or two xanax a day. but now i am up to the three 1 mg. daily. and i feel nothing when i take them. one time some months ago, when todd did me this way with my xanax, i was up 81 hours. it was awful.

I take the antidepressant Effexor 300mg a day and they help for the most part. I am slowly going off of Seroquel at night. I have Klonopin and Xanax for anxiety as needed or daily. Of course I abuse those and the pain meds. They make me feel better, plain and simple. I like they way they make me feel, mentally and physically. I know that they are dangerous and I feel guilty for taking them. Only one person knows I have had this problem on and off for years. My family doesn't know.

seroquel is also used for severe anxiety and depression. the way they mix the drugs boggles my mind...but if it's working for jenn, why not keep going? i'd guess that seroquel wasn't the first thing they prescribed... but hey, i'm not a doc!
