Mixing seroquel and xanax

Common Questions and Answers about Mixing seroquel and xanax

seroquel

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder with PTSD and I was put on xanax 1mg to take 2 1/2 a day. I was experiencing mainly what my psychiatrist called mania where I would be ridiculously irritable and nervous/shaky. While the xanax took care of most of this, at times I still experience a very bad mood and have anger problems, where I fly off the handle at things that wouldn't bother most people to that extreme.
But you might just die. I stopped breathing and required full tilt support after mixing only medium doses of methadone and zanax........woke up just as I was being removed from life support. and you may also drink glasses of cyanide.....but its not recommended either.
how much seroquel, xanax, and alcohol causes an overdose. im qworried about my sister, she ha been prescribed xanax for 8 years now at 2mg a day, so her tolerance is well established. she is also an alcoholic. thankfully, she knows not to combine xanax while drinking, but what about the addition of seroquel? could she OD from the pill combination alone? would then the addition of alcohol just pretty much seal her fate?
I am a chronic patient of panic attacks, palpitation and anxiety and tried each of the above-mentioned medications, such as Librium, Valium, Ativan and xanax. I found Ativan and xanax more effetive and suitable. My physician has advised to add up Buspar, 5 MG combined with xanax 0.5 MG Does somone at the Forum has some experioence and information about Buspar?
I take the antidepressant Effexor 300mg a day and they help for the most part. I am slowly going off of Seroquel at night. I have Klonopin and xanax for anxiety as needed or daily. Of course I abuse those and the pain meds. They make me feel better, plain and simple. I like they way they make me feel, mentally and physically. I know that they are dangerous and I feel guilty for taking them. Only one person knows I have had this problem on and off for years. My family doesn't know.
It's important that you see your doctor immediately and don't hold back explaining how badly you feel and the thoughts you are having. Are you seeing a psychiatrist as well as hepatologist? Seroquel is a major tranquilizer and for most people it causes weight gain. My wife took it for a few years and seemed very out of it and more depressed to me. When she stopped the weight came off quickly and she felt alive again.
Most folks simply won't be able to do that with weed and they'll also find that mixing weed and alcohol isn't fun. unfortunately, this country has far worse drug issues to deal with other than weed. Meth is running like wildfire all over the country and has triggered a comeback of cocaine. I live in a state where meth was considered the epicenter of the producing and selling of the drug; I have seen first hand what it'll do to people.
HI, I normally take 120 mgs of methadone daily ( been clean off opiates or over 6 months now), take 2mgs of Klonopins daily, and 50 to 100mgs of phenergan (promethazine or promethazine hyrochloride, ) , and 0.2 mgs of Chlonodine a day,. . . . .and, 200mgs oF seroquel ( but only used for sleep. Im prescribed all the meds so this pill i found which i knew was a Tramadol/ultram 50 mgs. Is that safe? The only interaction that i am worried about is the methadone.
I'm not a doctor, but I thought it would help and was better than taking two xanax. Recently, I've taken just the .25 of xanax and it worked the same. The Tylenol pm wasn't doing anything in my opinion. I hope you get your thyroid regulated, that will cause you a lot of sleeplessness. It took me years to figure that out. My insomnia these days is not related to my thyroid. Keep us posted on your progress.
Nothing! Seroquel works, but I get dehydrated, depressed, cranky, and wake up in the middle of the night. I also get odd cravings. and I'm pretty useless the next day. I've tried ALL the natural stuff I could, for depression/anxiety/insomnia. I take very high fish oil doses daily, do yoga, meditate, take valerian...maintain a healthy lifestyle. Anyway...so now I am desperate to get over self-injury and anger management and a few things like abandonment issues etc. (classic BPD stuff).
Also umm i'm not sure how you and him are getting conflicting info on rivitril as he told me the half life is only a bit more than xanax and the tolerance/dependancy is just as high as xanax. His final conclusion was that because i had been on a the same low dose of xanax for so long that by the time i had a melt down and my panic disorder got WAY worse, the xanax wouldn't have been doing anything at all because of the tolerance factor....
i have never developed a tolerence to ambien and have used it off and on for over 10 years///i still take around 2.5 mg and it works...it is not a drug to take and "stay up"..it is designed to be taken right before u get in the bed...drinking on it is a no no as u will black out.....and people do abuse it..take it a stay up and party and stuff...how i do not know as i am asleep 10 minutes later u r taking 3 drugs...r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture?
I have been taking 1 to 1.5 mg of xanax every single night for months and months and months (well over a year)...I was at one time drinking taking xanax and Lunesta at night because after drinking all night I couldn't get to sleep. I und-color: #dae8f4'>can believe I didn't kill myself. I have fallen alsleep standing straight up, I'm ashamed to say. I quit Booze first, then Lunesta, then xanax most recently. My last 1 mg pill was Wednesday of last week.
Christ man, I could go on and on and on and on. I have been on 99% of all SSRI's, tricyclics, Serzone, seroquel, anti-psychotics, dilantin, lamictal, klonopin, ativan, librium, and all of those weird old drugs from the 50's like trazadone and the like. EVERYTHING! I have stayed away from MAOI's because they are dangerous in my opinion, and if all the rest didn't work, why try that ****.
Also, my friend is mailing me some oxy to help the wd, and luckily i have some xanax and seroquel i brought with me when i moved here. any advice or anyone else withdrawaling let me know.

He wound up being put on and taken off off several medications for depression, bi-polar disorder and seizures. He was given xanax (among other drugs) by a Psychiatrist about two years ago which he became addicted to. He stopped taking the xanax about a year ago and had (or claimed) withdrawals for a year afterward which caused even more severe anxiety. While on all of these drugs he was drinking heavily.
So glad you are choosing to join us. This is the place to be if you want off Tramadol. Lots of love, information and empathy here!

In the meantime see if a doctor und-color: #dae8f4'>can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose, for sleep and Klonopin which will be helpful for sleeplessness and anxiety. It will make withdrawals easier. Valerian and Magnesium is sometimes helpful remedies over the counter. The residual symptoms of insomnia and depression und-color: #dae8f4'>can last another few months.
Good Morning Tramadol Warriors! Welcome! So happy to see all of you, and welcome new friends. This is a good place to be if you want to get off Tramadol ... You und-color: #dae8f4'>can do it!
it worked really well but it caused my hands and feet to be swollen so then they switched me to seroquel. i have been taking that for about 3 years and it works fairly well. it is also a psychotic drug so it does two things at once, puts me to sleep, immediately, and keeps the anxiety away. i would suggest: talking with your doc and trying something that works for you, also, like jim said, relaxation tapes help and so does warm chamomile tea or a warm, relaxing bath before bed.

and there are good medications out there for depression/anxiety that are not habit forming....Klonipin,Ativan and xanax are addictive for ppl with substance abuse problems and not reccomended by a doctor who is educated on addiction and helping patients with addiction problems.I looked at your photo......you are a gorgeous young woman!Stunning my dear!:)i will pray for the best for you in life.....so many of us here have battled with what you are battling emotionally...
Please make yourself at home and snuggle down. It will be a bit bumpy, but worth it!
The War was fought alone for awhile. But then, others joined me and now we have the continuing Conversation. This is the place to be to get off and stay off Tramadol. Welcome Warriors!
i didnt sleep at all for 23 nights when i quit, and badly for 7 months, DONT FOLLOW ME DOWN THAT ROAD, sleep is so healing, i eventually went to a psychiatrist cos the sleep deprivation was driving me crazy litterally, he gave me a drug called 'seroquel' it put me out like a light bulb and my anxiety and depression are clearing up quickly.
Savas~ Thats a good point about the prescription. I have rx for xanax and the clinic allows me to have it and show no dirty ua. I also have a rx for soma that i never picked up and i am going to ask at the clinic if I could have the soma on the list of accepted meds as well. sassy you said the clinic showed no soma in your b/f last ua, so if he had a rx for that they would not say either way about it.
I was diagnosed w/agorophobia 31 yrs. ago, and was put on valium, then xanax and imipramine, then got about a 5 yr. break and took nothing, then the panic attacks came back and I've been on klonopin/clonazapem since. The clonazapem worked up until about 3 yrs. ago, when the panic attacks came back, along with this mind-blowing depression.
