Avatar n tn hi, my question is can we mix albuterol, ipratropium, pulmacort together and the order is give these medication together by nebulizer.
Avatar n tn ) I took him back to his doctor and she said it was indeed his asthma and gave us a Pulmicort Flexhaler, 180mcg. She told me (and put it on his asthma plan) to have him use the Pulmicort Flexhaler twice, two times a day and to try it for a month Since then, I've read online that the Flexhaler should be given to children who are 4 with extreme caution and I've read that 180 mcg is the typically recommended dose to start off with.
Avatar f tn I have asthma... I am 25.6 weeks. I began wheezing on Wednesday evening. I currently take albuterol inhaler and pulmicort... the doctor added prednisone due to the flare. I've rested and haven't felt better at all, I'm unable to sleep also. I don't know if it is safe to use the nebulizer or not? I plan to call the doctor back again tomorrow, but in the meantime have any of you used the nebulizer during your pregnancy...?
Avatar f tn Oh and PS_ we also did the "observing" thing and it made my life a living hell. She was always chronically ill.

Avatar f tn Now, a couple months later, she just got over a bad cold that had her wheezing and back on albuterol and pulmicort via nebulizer. I just noticed she has dark hairs growing around her nipples that were not previously apparent. Could these be due to the medications? Will they go away? I'm very concerned. She's not even a year old. This discussion is related to <a href='/posts/show/573101'>infant pubic hair</a>.
Avatar f tn About two weeks I noticed my 3 and half year old daughter had two flat red spots on her hard palate. I didn't think two much about it, I just assumed she injured it somehow and it would go away. I just kept an eye on it and its now gotten larger and become one large spot. I have asked her if it hurts it bothers her and she doesn't act like it does. I have taken her to the doctor and the dentist and both don't seemed very concerned they just said its inflammation.
454286 tn?1205883067 Saw pulmonologist and gave him Flow Vent and Albuterol inhalers , along with Decadron when the flare ups occurred and Croup. Saw another new doctor because son was not getting better. Same peds office new doctor but was really ill...lots of phlegm etc, she gave him a Zpak + nebulizer with Albuterol solution. We did that nothing changed. Sent him for second xray, which showed atalectasis and pneumonia altho the report didnt say any pneumonia, just atalectasis.
Avatar f tn Thanks, she is on maintenance meds (pulmicort) and I have albuterol via nebulizer and inhalers at my home. So I do feel prepared. Like I said when people got to the hospital or die from it thats when I get scared. I feel like where they prepared? Did they know they were having an asthma attack?
Avatar n tn 10 -day course of .875 MG Augmentin with pulmicort + albuterol nebulizer treatments, and Nasonex. Some improvement -- lung function up to 81%. 3. 3-week course of 2 MG Augmentin, higher dose of symbicort (no nebulizers), and Nasonex. By January 6, my lung function was up to 92%, which was for me, normal. The allergist still thought I had a sinus infection, so she recommended a sinus CT scan, which showed no infection.

Avatar n tn i have a 2yr old on a nebulizer using albuterol and she has had nosebleads since she was hospitalized and given treatments. its been 2 days of treatments and she has a very sensative nose. i am going to stop the treatments after reading these post. thanks.
Avatar m tn He takes singulair, flonaise, zyrtec, and pulmicort through a nebulizer twice a day on a daily basis. He has been through so much in his last year and a half. I just put him in play school and on his first day I can tell that the air conditioner is triggering his asthma. He began wheezing that night. And now two days later he has a full blown cold and I am doing albuterol around the clock. I hate all the meds and reading about the side effects makes me feel sick.
Avatar f tn I have never had this in my life. He sent me home with a breathing machine and albuterol. I also took steroids for 5 days. The last time i used the albuterol was on sat. I cant do it anymore. I have had palpitations that will not go away! They do not feel fast, they are slow, and almost like my heart misses quite a few beats. This is non stop. I dont know what to do. I am a smoker and also have panic attacks so u know..I am freakin out!
Avatar n tn Xopenx 1.25 mg and Ipratropium Bromide 0.02%.
Avatar f tn I purchased the Omron Portable Ultrasonic Nebulizer and am using the vials of Albuterol and Ipratropium. I can only use 1/2 vial because more than that speeds my heart up too much. Can I save the last 1/2 of the vial for later use? Does anybody know of a more affordable way to get the medicine I need? I am paying out of pocket and this economy gets harder every day it seems like.
Avatar f tn s been hospitalized a few times with bronchiolitis when he was 1 years old. The typical treatment has been 2ce a day pulmicort and 3xs a day to every 4 hours of albuterol. If that didn't work they would add predisone and sometimes zithromax. And those combos knocked it out. Well he now has 3 weeks of a rattling cough that just doesn't go away. They said no wheeze and we've been doing the pulmicort and albuterol. Well it isnt' helping. So the ped feels we'll add Singulair.
Avatar n tn He has been on antibiotics (zithromax equiv), oral steroids (dexamethasone), nebulizers (pulmicort and albuterol), seen an ENT for a laryngoscope, pediatric nerologists. Neurologist says behavioural related to too many sports, but he loves these and is under no pressure as to which sport or when - he chooses. He is now off all drugs - these brought on associated body spasms that have stopped. He repeatedly comes out of tests looking just fine - no bronchitis, asthma, epiglotitis.
1154802 tn?1266485720 If by inhaler you mean the dose measured albuterol, I would say use albuterol in a nebulizer instead. The reason I prefer the nebulizer is that you can use as little as you need since it is not measured. I have a small portable nebulizer (slightly bigger than a cell phone) which I take everywhere with me. As far as effictiveness is concerned, albuterol is albuterol no matter how you take it. I got off the inhaled steroids because they were killing me (literally).
Avatar n tn We got rid of the cat, encased beds etc, and put her on a daily breathing treatment called pulmicort. Taking albuterol daily is not healthy. She is 5 today and my life has changed. I was sad knowing she has to take breathing treatments and that she cant spend the night with cats, but no more ER trips for us!
1516809 tn?1345082764 The doctor then doubled her Pulmicort doseage in her Nebulizer for two weeks to see if that helped plus using Robitussin as needed. Last week I complained to the doctor again about the coughing and she put my mother back on Azithromycin for 5 days. The sounds did not dissipate. I asked the doctor to do a chest X-ray which was done today, results will be available tomorrow. She felt that the X-Ray will probably show nothing.
Avatar f tn Then the albuterol makes it even worse and lands me in ER often for both hypoxia with out the albuterol and with even more increased angina and unable to stop angina with sublingual spray after taking albuterol. Several times Physicians have called ambulance from their office after administering albuterol and setting to off of because severe hypoxia sets off the angina. Also my Xopenex can kick of angina as well but I can normally get that stopped with nitro.
Avatar n tn t stop until we moved upon selling the home we found there was mold in a room not far from hers and radon in the home Check it out and clear the down, flannel and carpet any where you can especially her bedroom keep it always free of dust and wash all the bedding frequently with hot water no softners keep scents away also this can cause sensitivity Try these things they really are possibilities
Avatar n tn i keep starting and stopping my sons pulmicort 2xday when he gets a cought and runny nose should i do that should i use the albuterol with it ?
1754037 tn?1327886811 I have used my albuterol and flovent inhalers in all but ONE of my pregnancies and my kids are fine. I did not take any oral medications though.
Avatar f tn I have had a croaky voice for almost 2 months now. I have recently changed my preventor from flixotide to pulmicort as when I was on flixotide I was finding that I felt like I had to take deep breaths all the time. Once I swapped preventors it improved and has now been approximately 4 months and has come back. I feel like I have to yawn all the time to get a deep breath in. I have also had a croaky voice for nearly 2 months and can't figure out why.
Avatar f tn So now im on keflex, zithromax, albuterol, zofran, tums, cough drops, robitussin dm, and got a shot of rocefin in the arse. How does an ear infection turn into pneumonia? ??? I didn't even know that was possible! And my doc says taking all these meds is safe but that seems like an awful lot to me.
