Now I can try to break away from this tramadol (ultram) I have a full bottle of vicodin and a bottle of valium ... and a very strong survival instinct. Every morning I just hate having to take these 2 1/2 pills to start my day. Today I cut it to 2 1/8 of a pill .... and I felt the difference by nightfall. Tommorrow I watch the kid while they are packing .... and then it begins.
Then I went to a phycologist and talked to her about my eating dissorder and then told her about the tramadol and how it helpped me to curb my hunger. She said that she couldnt help me and that I need to contact a rehab center but it was so hard for me to get up enough nerve just to tell her. No one can help me. Im not the typical addict you know. Im well educated Im married with a small child and we are living in upper class america the big house and everything.
It was from a person who was snorting percocet and cocaine and had burnt a hole through the cartiliage in their nose and after months of not using it still hadn't healed and all the problems the person was having, she was a little freaked to say the least. No guarantee though but so far so good, I can only hope it continues. As far as her friend goes, and how many times she was successful before I caught her, I asked my daughter that same question that very night. No kidding huh.
I take Lexapro with it too just one a day but I wonder if the doctors know of a reaction to Tramadol like mine or is it possibly a combo of tramadol and Lexapro. My mom tried tramadol and it does nothing for her pain or for energy. But for me I am just a lightning bug all day and come bed time I am totally relaxed and comfy and fall right to sleep.
If adopted by the Food and Drug Administration, the changes would lower the maximum over-the-counter Tylenol dose and would ban two narcotic painkillers, Vicodin and percocet, which also contain acetaminophen. Yet another painkiller, propoxyphene, was the target of FDA action on Tuesday. Also sold as Darvon and in an acetaminophen combination called Darvocet, it has been linked to accidental overdoses and suicides.
However with the supplements do not take any SAM e , L tyrosine , or 5hpt until you are ALL the way off the tramadol there can been some serous side effects mixing them with tramadol .NOW vit b 6 12 and some magzeium and vit d would really help then when you go off the tram you could long into the others .Eating healthy of course .You can do it .Its been over three years I have been clean if I can anyone can.
People that don't like eurphoric effects are more prone to use tramadol regularly and request it (as mentioned before, it still does have some euphric effects) and for the lower abuse potential and less euphoria, docots are overly eager to prescribe tramadol and often on a long term basis. This is a niche medication and should not be petitioned to be removed from the market, but rather petitioned for more controlled use.

Maybe the Ultram wasn't at a high enough dosage? I take tramadol (100) and robaxin (750) togther to get a little pain relief enough to function at work. I do that a couple of times a day and if I am real bad I take percocet (10/325). Some days though, nothing helps. Want to try the patch I've heard about.
The first night (Sunday night) I had taken my regular meds and went to bed. I woke up about 2 hours after I had fallen asleep, I was in incredible pain in my joints. So intense. I did my best to stretch everything and move each joint---it took a long time. I eventually went back to sleep only to awaken about an hour later with the same intense pain. I spent most of the night awake and kept taking more medications which I never do at night. So, each night since then it has worsened.
are hydrocodin, percocet, roxicodone and tramadol in the same ingredients family meaning if i took a vicodin i should be okay to take a roxicodone or tramadol because they have some of the same ingredients in them thanks for the time to whoever answers the post
I would like to know if mixing alchohol and klonipin in sufficent amounts will end ones life. Can you die just from taking an overdose of klonipin? and how much would it take?
Before switching to Morphine, I had 1/2 of my daily dose of Tramadol (200 mgs) switched out and replaced with Vicodin. I did experience Tramadol withdrawal with this change and it lasted for a good month (chills, body aches, and restless legs). My doctor gave me Ativan to help with the withdrawal. I was on Tramadol for 4 years and stopped taking it completely in April of this year.
However, he said it could NOT be causing me so much pain. He checked out my arm and noticed a hard soft tissue knot, and suggested removing it through surgery and it "might" relieve my pain. So, 3 weeks ago I had the said surgery and it was removed (a hard soft tissue mass about the size of a marble). No, this was not the cyst inside my humerus bone. Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night).
I was in AA for 12 years when I started back drinking and taking percocet. I know the signs of addiction but ignored this and continued my addiction. My question is what is the effect on the body when drinking and takiing pain pills regulary? It can't be good to use both. I trust I will get an answer and will be so apprecative for an answer.
i have a number of physical problems (protruding lumbar disks, fibromyalgia, headaches, stiff neck [residual from a sub-arachnoid {brain} hemorrhage]) . i find that vicodin works best for neck and head pain, and tramadol works best for the pins and needles neuropathic pain from the lower back. a almost never take both in the same day. the moist tramadol i have ever taken in one day is 2 50mg, and the most vic i have ever taken are 4 5mg.
You can put as many studies out here that you want. At one time heroin was used for pain relief and touted as non-addictive as well. This is quoted from Wikipedia and has 3 sited sources "It (Tramadol) is a synthetic opioid and it appears to have actions at the μ-opioid receptor as well as the noradrenergic and serotonergic systems." and, regardless of what it says anywhere...just read the posts on here and the **** people go through to get off of Tramadol.
I have not found a med that works good for me yet but my brother has taken hydromorphone a couple times and said that it's the first time he's been relatively pain free in many years and that he felt no side effects from it. He has joint pain and moderate-severe burning in his hands and feet. He takes percocet and neurontin daily but was given this in the ER when he was in such severe pain he couldn't stand it anymore.
The doctor thought I might be suffering a drug interaction with alcohol which I drank sat night (the reason I held off the tramadol) so they suggest I do not take tramadol anymore. It is now Monday noon and I still feel the same disconnection and anxiety. I also have dodgy stomach and no appetite. Nothing gives me any sense of pleasure or joy and I feel like a part of me or my brain has been removed. I have been taking between 4 and eight 50mg tramadol a day for last six weeks.
tramadol BRand NAME: Ultram DRUG CLASS and MECHANISM: Tramadol is a man-made (synthetic) analgesic (pain reliever). Its exact mechanism of action is unknown but similar morphine. Like morphine, tramadol binds to receptors in the brain (opioid receptors) that are important for transmitting the sensation of pain from throughout the body to.
Used to be on 40 mg of oxycontin and 30 mg of percocet daily. Started tapering until I got down to 30--40 mg of percocet, then 20 mg, then 15 mg and now 10 mg. It is best if you have the pills you can break in half and not the CR pills. You could do c/t, but I think that all depends on your age, medical condition and how long you've been taking them as well as dosage.
It is unusual for a doctor to just cut a patient off. Tramadol is not a solution, because it is an opiate substitute and also very difficult to quit. In case you are curious, it takes us about three to four days to get a patient off of any opiate including Suboxone, and feeling well. You are more than welcome to look at my clinic's website by clicking on my name and then the clinic's logo. Give us a call anytime if you have questions.
I was taking up to 20norcos a day, and sometimes even mixing them with the percocet. I was getting 240 5mg vikes a month, for my back...and I have decided NOT to refill the script on the 14th when I am able to. I just wanted you all to know, that God listens to prayer, and He answers them to. Just sometimes the answer may be 'No'.....I guess the main reason I wanted to post this was to tell you all I am going to pray for you tonight..pray that God gives you the comfort He gave to me.
