mixing methadone and roxy

60 Mg a day of Methadone and 180 Mg Roxy. Weaned down to 2.5 mg three times a day of Methadone and 45mg Roxy up until two weeks ago, i dropped the Methadone. Now I am just on the Roxy and con not seem to take that next drop. I feel like **** and am afraid to go through what I went through last time. Now my question. Should I introduce a small amount of Methadone back into this to try and get off of the Roxy?? Sounds stupid Im sure but dropping the Roxy wigs my system out. Thoughts?

Your sister is playing an extremely dangerous game with mixing methadone and benzos.That can be a fatal mix.I've known 2 people who over the last year and a half who have died from doing just that and both were taking a lot less methadone then your sister is taking.I'm not trying to scare you.Just making sure you know what a fatal cocktail that can be..I will keep your sister in my prayers.All the best...

About mixing methadone and klonopins.....well here is my story...... i was on meth, and buying klonopin 2mgs.... well one day , actually night i took like 8 or 10mgs. of them. The next day on my way to the meth clinic i was fine. After i took my 85mgs (at the time) dose, well no later than 10 minutes went buy and i knew i was about to black out. I had to drive 20 minutes to the clinic. so i stopped at a friends in the area to do some coke to wake me up....yeah...i know....

In high school I expiramented with all sorts of things but in the end, I only kept smoking cigs, drinking, and smoking pot...until recently. I moved back to Florida and I got this new job, telemarketing (haha), started meeting people...and shortly thereafter...I was offered a "roxy". I had no idea what it was, just a pain pill was all I knew.

m tired of freaking out when I dont have them. Anyways last Thursday I stopped taking the pill and started using 10mg of liquid form of methadone to help me get through the withdrawals did it from Thursday-till Sunday but lowered Sundays to 5mgs then Monday I don't nothing at all hoping I was in the clear and I wouldn't hbe any more withdrawals.

Hi and welcome to the forum....well I was on methadone for 6 1//2yrs and also have bipolar disorder so taking antidepressants was a fact of life for me...I had good luck with celexa will taking methadone...very little side effects mixing the 2 together but all antidepressant are not the same...I agree with mr lucky on asking your dr he/she should at least know your on the methadone...

I have already caught him once mixing klonopin and his methadone. But I am still very suspicious that he has do so over the week end at his parents house. I was just wondering if you could advise me as to what signs to watch for if I don't catch him right away. Like what the normal side effects within a day or two after that I would be looking for.

I have had a pretty bad addiction for the past year on Oxy, roxy, and worst when those run out methadone. I just started suboxone today, I split an 8mg tab in half and let it dissolve under my tounge. How long will I have to be on suboxone to wean myself off from everything? Awwwe! The days when I didn't need anything at all. I can't wait to get back to that again!

Remeber the whole anna nicloe thing. well her son died from a heart attack due to mixing anti depressents and methadone. I would think the dr. or the pharmacy would know but you never know and must check into this further. I am not trying to scare you but i specifically remember that his death was due to a combination of those exact two things. Good luck and boy is she lucky to have you looking out for her!!!

i am a recovering heroin addict using methadone as my my recovery method and i have diabetes 2 and take insulin daily as well, i take 100mg methadone liquid and 20 units of Humulin N type insulin once nitely. during the day i seem ok and around 5 or 6 pm i start to go thru withdrawls really bad to wher i want drugs so far i forced myself to go to bed and havent used again i been clean since the day after thanksgiving this year a few months.

Hi everyone. I recently got off 30mg of methadone. Well I was on 30mg for about 4 mths and started tapering off. When I got to 15mg I decided to quit. I lasted a few days when I started having severe restless leg, loss of appetite, anxiety, hot and cold flashes, and insomnia. I didn't want to get back on methadone because of how long the withdraw is.

if you take methadone how long after stopping before any other kind of opiate will work? i've been off methadone for about a week and i found a perc 10 last night and took it. i know i should not have done that but im an addict and i could not help myself. i thought methadone made it so no other opiates would work but i swear i think i felt better after i took it. was it all in my head or did it really help?

Did your doctor prescribe you this? I have known some people who have taken medication issues into their own hands with really bad results, but if you are doing it under your doctor's orders (and he/she knows about your current medications and history) then I would follow what he/she says. Another good reference for questions is your pharmacist that fills your prescriptions....keep us posted!

I used to be on 150 mg of Methadone a day but cut way down to just 30mg/day and it was so tough! Now I'm mixing just 10mg of Valium with the current Methadone. It that mixture safe?

can someone pls tell me if im mixing the wrong medications? i take seriqual and methadone and i dont feel well at all, i can barely move half the time i cant stop crying shaking freaking out on people! throwing up! i cant stop shaking my body is heating up from the inside out i feel delusional! im a mess! i dont want to take it anymore? if i stop taking it can i get through it??? can anything make it easier?? i believe this stuff is making me feel worse than i ever have felt in my life!

hi Roxy ....after being on methadone for 6 1/2yrs and then having to taper off it for 8 1/2mo I wouldent recommend it to anyone...the withdrawals are the most sever out of all the narcotics and trust me it took a good 90days just to start to feel better after I was off your best bet would be set up a taper plan with the oxy and stick to it... how much oxy are you taking??? and how do you take it whole,bit it,or snort it//???

Does the doc who prescribed the Methadone know you take Klonopin too? Methadone and benzos mixed together is typically not recommended, due to the risk of respiratory depression, and even respiratory arrest. That being said, in some cases, docs will be okay with the combination if the doses are small enough, and if the medications aren't taken all of the time, or are taken short term. This is something you definitely need to discuss with your doctor before mixing them again.

They almost killed me. Methadone gets you high, and the detox off methadone is much longer than most opiates. On the other hand, I recognize that they can be effective if used correctly. A few questions: If you couldn't control the roxys, what's different that makes you think you can control the methadone? Are you looking for pain management or sobriety? How did the doctor suggest you use them?

i've seen a hundred times that mixing those two is very dangerous. i'm no doctor, but i myself take methadone and once i took a valium, i've never felt sicker!! i do believe it is very dangerous. . .

My question is, has anyone heard of lyrica causing withdrawal symptoms when taken w/methadone? I was given Tramadol(Ultram) w/ methadone and thought I was going to die with the interaction it caused!!!

We did 25mg methadone the first day, 20mg methadone the 2nd, 15mgs on the third, 10 on the 4th and 5 on the fifth. We skipped all withdrawal sympoms from the oxys and in 5 days stopped taking the methaone. We were off both pills in 5 days with no withdrawals and havnt taken a pill since. People will tell you to stay away from methadone because it has the worst withdrawal symptoms lasting up to months.This is true but only after you become physically dependent on it.

The two most common causes of death I personally have seen, is methadone/alcohol and methadone/benzo combo. The methadone/benzo combo caused more seizures and hospitalization than any other drug combo. I honestly have seen people shoot speed balls, cocaine/heroine combo, and have less health issues and instances of death. Even those who were prescribed methadone and klonipine by the same doctor, I have seen hospitalization 3 times before the doctor changed the script.

I am not here to put down what you are saying sub does help but you also have withdraws coming off of them some ppl have just as bad w/d as they did when they were on oc, roxy..etc I took suboxone for 3 months starting at 24mg and tappering down to 2 mg and was on 2mg for week then c/t and the w/d ***** i was sick same as oc so I then went to methadone and have been on it for yr and doing well and yes that too has w/d just bad so its all taking you to w/d you have to be ready to overcome them.
