I have already caught him once mixing klonopin and his methadone. But I am still very suspicious that he has do so over the week end at his parents house. I was just wondering if you could advise me as to what signs to watch for if I don't catch him right away. Like what the normal side effects within a day or two after that I would be looking for.
well 23 days of pure hell went by and i was introduced to suboxone from my old boyfriend who knew i was in trouble. That day he gave me one 8mg pill, and a 1mg. Klonopin and i actually got out of bed and all the hell was over. I have a doctor know who prescribes me 2 of the 8's a day, along with 2mgs. of klonopin a day. Believe me, i have my days where i want to be back on methadone, because like most, it became my choice drug, but it is a love/hate relationship.
Yes it would work quickest of all. But that and Klonopin are nearly one and the same by way of benzos. Valium is another option. But once you start taken whatever kind of tablets you take you must look towards the time when you might have to stop taken them. Keeping it easier would be better. The Klonopin is a longer acting benzo. It wouldn't have the same kick in effect as Xanax. As in almost instant. But it is easier to manage.
With Flexeril, yes it works but depends on what you taking along with it. For example don't take it with a benzo like xanax. Baclofen is very good. I even read that in higher doses it can be used for addictions like alcohol and maybe heroin. It was in the Wikipedia site for it. Was very i teresting read.
I have been taking methadone for my heroin addiction and was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety. I been able to taper off methadone to 1mg and all of a sudden can't sleep. Restless legs is the worst. I take 0.25 of klonopin but it doesn't help. I know some sleep aids is benzos like Triazolam and it helped me before (i detoxed from Methadone 3 times) but this time i am on Klonopin which is another benzo. What can i take?
You might ask you doctor to get rid of Xanax or Klonopin and adjust the dosage rather than mixing both. I see no point in mixing two kind of benzodiazepine. You question was is it safe to mix both. Well it's ok to mix both but i don't see the point this is why i suggest you talk to your doctor about selecting only one of the two and adjusting the dose to your needs and lifestyle.
Klonopin has a longer half life then Xanax and also has less severe side effects. Klonopin can be dangerous if not taken as prescribed and should be used exactly as your doctor has recommended . As far as being the same , Well yes and no ! Klonapin has an eight hour half life and Xanax about three . But like I said most psychiatrist at UCLA will not write scripts for Xanax unless Klonopin does not work for a perticular patient .
Today he came down hard from his high and went off the road with his car. I am wondering if mixing these drugs are the culprit, and what the family can do about this doctor because he seems extremely shady, and my brother has sneaked off in the middle of the night to see him and always comes back high as a kite.
Well it's day 8 for me. Tapered quickly off lortab (8 a day down to none) fioricet (5 a day down to none) klonopin (down to .5 from 4mg) and zoloft (150mg down to 75). Now I spend most of the day shaking inside and feeling terribly anxious. I have trazadone but it just makes me tired and anxious and flexeril which doesn't seem to do anything at all. Did I try to do to much at once? I'm starting to think I should have done one at a time....
I am prescribed quite a few pain meds and benzo's for Chronic pain and anxiety but need advice on getting off Fentanyl Patch ASAP.
I am prescribed Fentanyl Patch 100mcg every 36 hrs, Diladid 8mg 2-3 daily, Percocet 7.5 4 daily, Norco 7.5 4 daily, klonopin 1mg 4x daily, Valium 10mg 2-3 daily, Flexeril 10mg 3x daily, Phenergan 25mg 2x daily.
I now am down to taking 50mcg Fentanyl every 72 hrs, 1/2 so 4 mg of Diladid if needed 0-2 a day, 1/2 of Percocet so about 3.
I voted 5-10 but I don't take meds specifically prescribed for fibro. They are for the stuff that goes along with it....

After being seriously overmedicated for 4 years before my dx....I'm also very careful about what meds I take and how they interact. I didn't have any luck with flexeril, amitriptyline or cymbalta. I took vioxx for years and felt great on it....
I currently take 100mg of Lyrica twice a day and half a .5 klonopin twice daily. My Neuro wants me off the klonopin because she says it is bad in the long run. It seems to be the only thing that helps. She wants me to start Lexapro 20mg daily and wean off of klonopin. I hate Lexapro because the brain fog when I tried it 2 years ago. Two questions:
Is it safe to take all 3 at once (daily)?
Should I try herbal things for anxiety other then Lexapro?
He may give a sleeping tablet at night and the benzos at morning and afternoon times. Depends on the benzo as was stated above. Klonopin which has about a 12 hour lasting cycle I would imagine would never be given with sleeping tablets. Just a guess though. Because of what might accumilate in your system over the course of a day. May be too much for your body. Or one may make the other more powerful. Play it safe my friend.
Hi y'all! I just got signed up here I'm not got a addiction yet lol that's why I am wanting to ask everyone if someone could help. I just started pain management yesterday for thoracic outlet syndrome I'm in physical therapy I go two times a week and am trying to do anything to keep me from surgery. But anyways the pain doc I went to was a big butthole to me since he has never heard of what I have he almost didn't help even tho my thoracic doc requested me to go to him.
Anyway I am already on Valium (for years) and Lamitctal However the ER doc prescribe oxycodone, flexeril, and for some reason ativan? Which I kept telling them i don't understand since i am already on 20mg valiums?
They kept saying they will ask and the Doctor said she would update my med information but when i got home I saw they did not update any information and she wrote to take all 3 with no comment on the valium i already been on for years?
Today I am going to start my taper off of vicodin which I have taken irresponsibly for over a year. I also take Fioricet, flexeril, and have been perscribed Zoloft which is about week 5. Also going through Klonopin withrawals which has made me shake like crazy. The zoloft increase caused me a week and a half of nausea which has finally subsided. I'm so scared. My two children are counting on me and like many, nobody knows what I'm really going through.

I am asking because i am hanving jaw tension and pain now and want to take the flexeril but i am afraid it might trigger my hyop tyroidism.
7 weeks ago he went on Suboxone and started to take about 4 mg of klonopin and 50 mg of valium along with 50 mg of seroquel. 5 weeks ago, the doctor started weaning him off the klonopin and changed him from seroquel to trazodone. ( the valium was never prescribed..he just took that on his own ).
On his own, he decided to increase his klonopin dosage and add seroquel back to his regimen.
