Could you get pregnant on the birth control pill even when u miss a few my breast feel a little heavy and my nipples hurt I had sex on December 21st my next period is January 10th I did a little spotting then bleeding but I believe that's cause I missed pills so doctor told me to get back on track and I stop bleeding but my fave is breaking out I feel bloated n sleeping a lot and my family sad I'm a little moody and I can't stop eating... Could I be pregnant?
I would also recommend a pregnancy test--I ALWAYS do.
If you missed a pill it can be enough to cause a period that lasts forever. Often by the time you get to the placebos, you will have stopped and won't have your regular period. Usually it is best to continue with the pills daily and when you start your new pack things will usually sort themselves out. If this continues to happen frequently, you may need to change your pill for awhile.

I went out of town for a couple of days and forgot to pack my birth control pills (YAZ). I missed two pills in week three. I followed the directions and continued to take active pills through the following Sunday and then started a new pack. I did not get my period however, the pill directions say this is to be expected. Can anybody explain what causes the missed period?
has anyone had this issue with this pill? i did miss a day on the 22nd, but took it with my next day dose. Then i missed it again on the 24th and took that pill with my next day dose as well...was that wrong? I was on Lo estrin and got pregnant on it after 3 months. Im trying not to stress out about it because i just bumped up my activity level to working out 5-6 times a week! Anywho im thinking of going on the Implanon, does anyone know if its good?
My girlfriend has been on birth control for about a month now. We had sex on 11-17-12 and She was expecting her period to be on 11-20-12! She says she feels the usual symptoms as if she would be starting her period but yet it hasn't started yet. Could this be the birth control altering her cycle? Or does this mean she's pregnant? Missing a period when you're on birth control doesn't happen for the same reasons as when you're not. Often women on the pill miss periods for no reason. I missed a few here and there when I used to be on the pill but I knew there was that side effect so I didn't worry about it.
I have been on birth control for about 4-5 years now. On the week of April 11th I completely forgot my pill on Tuesday April 12th & took Wednesday's pill about 11 hours late but took the rest of the pills on schedule as usual. I decided to stop taking my birth control after my last period which was on December 29, 2011.. My birth control usually regulates my period to where I get it the 4th Thursday of every month. So, the week before I had unprotected sex I was in a country where there was a different time zone and i took a week's worth of birth control at a different time. then i missed the day of's pill then had sex and he came twice the next day i took plan b. I took my pill and then had sex that night. I got a period but now everytime i miss a pill i get bleeding. should i be worried and take a pregnancy test?
